And are you studying God's word daily so that you can learn what His will is for you and are you sharing what you have been shown by the Holy Spirit with those who are receptive to it and complete surrender.
Complete surrender of our free will choices, by doing God will, instead of our own will, is a requirement to salvation and a requirement to being transformed into the image and character of Jesus Christ.

And are you doing the will of my Father who is in heaven by obeying what you have been shown and have learned
And are you working on overcoming all sin in your life and being transformed into the image and character of Jesus Christ.
If the answer is yes to all of the questions above then you are running the race of faith all the days of your life as the one who get the prize which is eternal life with Jesus Christ our Lord.
Beloved: Salvation is a 2 step process.
The 1st step in the process of salvation is being justified by what Christ which happens when a person accepts Jesus Christ as their person savior.
And after being justified by what Christ did by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
The next step in salvation is sanctification.
And Sanctification is a moment by moment and a day by day process of obedience to the will of God out of love ALL of the days of your life after accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
And To Repent of sin, means to ask The Son of God who is Jesus Christ incarnate for forgiveness of sin and he wants us to be literal about the sin that we are asking Him to be forgiven of and part of asking for forgiveness also means that we will give up in our lives whatever sin it is that we are asking to be forgiven of.
Again Salvation is a 2 step process.

The character we form in this world by our choices and actions will determine our destiny for eternity. Our future is determined by the way in which we now allow ourselves to be transformed into the image and character of Jesus Christ.
which is why every person who says they follow Christ is to be transformed into the image and character of Jesus Christ by their choices and by their actions on a moment by moment and on a day by day basis with the help of the Holy Spirit.
It is what we do, action wise, today, till we die that determines if we have accepted, the gift of salvation or not, God's grace, forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. is dependent on our belief and actions
Those who choose not to become like Jesus Christ in character; Must know that their profession to follow Jesus Christ is a fraud. Obedience to the will of God out of Love is a requirement of those who would be saved.
God knows our wants, needs and our desires, and He can read our heart, mind, and soul, and He knows our motives, our intentions and our desires by our actions.
Jesus estimates the purity of motive, thoughts and actions and the character that we posse. which is used along with the things written in the books which determines if we have accepted the gifts described above.
He looks to see how much of His Spirit and character is in us by our actions
How much of His likeness of character is in our life which is revealed in us by our actions.
To be great in God’s kingdom is to be as a little child in humility, in simplicity of faith, and in purity of love.
And what you have done for those whom you think to be the least worthy of your help you have done unto the Lord.
Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." James 4:4, KJV
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters: Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God, the world and money.

I am going through that now. I am going to be a dad this year for the first time and I am frightened of how to protect my child.
But the good news is that, even though I am scared, I will always trust God to guide me through it.
He has blessed me with the opportunity to become a dad, so I trust Him with the guidance.
Believe me, I was terrified that I would raise him/her wrongly or like the bad examples I had in life.
But I put my faith in Him for all of it.
#1. You (not the Pastor), you live for God and love Him with all your heart and soul and mind and strength. #2. Pull your kids out of public school and home school them. Live in a smaller house. It's possible. #3. Understand this: giving your kids cell phones when they are 6 years old (joking - it's actually anytime before they are spiritually ready to handle them which is child dependent but in my view is no sooner that 18) is like throwing them to the lions. #4. Live for God. Your kids can tell whether you're living for God or faking it. If you're faking, there is no hope. If you are real, you cannot fail.

What people don't understand is hell has no freedom to it, it's only an illusion. Notice if you rebel against the evil in this world being portrayed as freedom of choice, they attempt to ruin your life. However, religion is all about choice and freedom. You have the freedom to accept salvation or reject it, accept his word or reject it, choose a godly life or a life of sin. That's not to say there's consequences to those choices, however, you always have a choice. And the best choice of all, which is a gift, is the choice to repent. When I was a kid I never thought of Sodom and Gomorrah as what it was exactly. It's like reading about something and having an idea about it. You don't know exactly what it looks like. Until you see it.
Pride is Sodom and Gomorrah. Now having known about it, reading about it, then seeing it; that's exactly what it looks like.
Almost everyday I'm seeing things large and small that the Bible has known and told about. It was easy to dismiss it all as a young, foolish, boy. Now at 45, if I thought it was all a coincidence; I'd be the same fool. And arguably worse. Jesus Christ will return. This isn't a belief or opinion, it's a fact.

More people need to study the Old Testament and not just the softer gospel books, both important, just a lot of Christians avoid studying the meat of the Bible

Hell is the grave and the lake of fire are two different things;

and not everyone will be saved by Jesus Christ in the end. And those who are not saved are thrown into the lake of fire in the end as part of their final sentencing for sin.
For example if I am lost and if 5 seconds was the penalty for all of my unforgiven sins in the lake of fire then after 5 seconds of being thrown into the lake of fire, my body and my soul would die and cease to exist and I would be no more after 5 seconds in the lake of fire.
Things thrown into the lake of fire after the 1000 years is over. is different then hell as hell which is the grave is thrown into the lake of fire after the 1000 years.

When I looked at my calendar for all the man made holidays for June and I saw this one, I removed it off my calendar immediately, don't want no part in that sin and filth and the Lord's angles will not be writing that in my book of life or death. Because this was a stand up routine. It was not preaching. And he was encouraging people to laugh at people who sin differently to them, which Jesus tells us in Matthew’s Gospel to not do. Jesus said it is a sin akin to murder.

Funny makes a point. Jesus also used tactics you might not like, for example when He was accused of casting out demons by Beelzebub He asked them by what name they cast out demons. This was a jab at them because none of them were able to cast out demons, so Jesus was actually mocking them.
