I'm just like her balance of vocal tone. Not so hard not so soft. It's entirely appropriate for style of Arch Enemy. I aggree with you, there is more talented female vocals but they are not %100 compatible with their Bands like Angela.

I was watching bloodstained cross,and I noticed about how Chris kept everything down to earth and real in his playing he would play a warning solo then turn look deflate then put everyone back in the pocket then look around like hey pay attention pace this song out I wanna bring the authenticity of this song out so play it right..

i don't know why there isn't much recognition for Daniel Erlandsson, the drummer, he is able to pull up the toughest patterns with such an ease... he is far ahead of many popular drummers in the world.
I always hated their uniforms, but did party Slipknots. It was about the matter of patch... Color... In Angies case. To the point FF, where HA fought 81 for being rascist, fascist, xenophobic, pimping, abusing, killing cartella they are and still. In fact, I hated them rolling with those bikers anyways. Most ended up dead. No colors here left, not one. This is the upcoming future to y' all. Global.
Angela really should do a duet with Alissa. They'd kick ass. In my opinion they're the best female vocalists out there. Amazing in their own right, but together?

I really think that the songs with Angela were so much heavier. She has such imposing force and power in her voice, the writing seems to encompass that.
to me alissa can be at least the same in heaviness, but she needs more 'help' from music and lyrics, while angela could even make slower softer songs sound extremly heavy, just my opinion.

Angela Gossow in AE, was like Tarja Turunen in Nightwish - unreachable level of awesomeness, Idol and legend... i mean no offense to new fans of those bands, AE with Alissa and Nightwish with Anette or Floor, but lets be honest... those women represented some above the sky level, not sure if ever something greater or even at least same greatness will appear ever...
I think I've never heart a femal voice that ferocious and invidious as Angelas' in "Bloodstained Cross" - not even that of the girl in "Exorcist". ;) It fits the lyrics so perfectly. "You deceived, they believed in your bloodstained cross" I love it!
