Shurflo Trail King Water Pump-12V - 30 psi with filter amzn.to/3OOV7bm Everything i use in my camper van you will find here www.amazon.co.uk/shop/melsvanworld
@@BigVanSmallWorld yes you need to fit the accumulator that’ll even out the pressure then. Will be good then, I have the same pump as your old one in my crafter at the moment and will be upgraded to same one you’ve got now. 😄
Hi Mel find your videos very informative and entertaining. Just watched you install your new water pump and noticed when you showed how quiet it was the pressure switch was continuously operating. These switches are only guaranteed for a few thousand operations. I know because mine failed very quickly when operating like yours. I didn’t notice an expansion vessel inline in your setup. One will stop the constant operating of the switch thus prolonging it’s life. Keep up the good work John
Thanks from USA. I had no idea they had these quiet version. Sign me up! My old shurflo finally gave out so I'll be hiring someone to install this quieter one. Thanks so much.🙏
Hi Mel, great simple videos enjoy watching them. But the trail king 7 is a diaphragm pump. I think you need to fit an accumulator to smooth out the flow.
My sureflow use to hunt and surge as yours does. Use to do my nut in so pulled it out and fitted an immersion pump in the tank. EUREKA!! Better pressure, smooth delivery, quiet and only £25. :) ... Ged
Aww bless bud I love the thumbnail ☺️ I did that to mine when I installed it on a little switch 💜 That’s brilliant how silent that is. Mines like your old one and is noisey. Great vlog buddy 💙💙
I have the standard Fiamma pump that was starting to lose pressure and would stay on a long time after using water, I found out it was the plastic pistons that crack and break, I brought three new Teflon coated pistons from Italy on eBay, cost about £10, After fitting ,the pump was back to normal and works perfect. But I must admit your new one sounds so much better than mine.
Nice video Mel, I have fitted the same pump and took my van for its maiden trip this weekend. Really pleased with the results everything worked perfect. Just gotta fit the solar now. All the best.
Hearing you speak Mel reminds me of the London Boys who used to come down to the Slough/Maidenhead/Reading area to work on sites - They used to take the Mick out of My accent and confuse it with a West-Country one and the old "OOHH - AARRGGHH!!" with a bit of Brickies straw in the mouth - it would often head My way - But of course, I'd never say that, just as You'd never say "Apples'n'Pears" 😂😂 .... All good fun though - Those Were The Days EH?? - When you COULD take the P***! and No-One got Offended 🤠
Hi mel might be a good idea to fit a non return valve on the intake side if thats a impeller pump as the water would be part of the cooling to stop it burning out plus you would stop it all draining back to the tank every time it switched of and on. Keep up the good work i allways enjoy your vids an may van life go on for ever lol.
Quick remark (and we know you love a quick remark do you? ;-p Thanks to the new feature on RUclips I was able to zoom in on your job. Can say you did an absolute perfect job there Mel.
Hi Mel. Congrats on the quiet pump. I know it's been a while, but the link to it no longer works, and all googling shows that model to be a diaphragm pump... Can you confirm it is an impeller ?
Hi Mel sorry to bother you. Can you tell me please how much did you pay for water pump for your campervan I need to get one please if you can help me with this I will be very grateful .from steve.
Far too loud, it was one of the things that really annoyed me when you’re stealth camping and also early morning when Mel wakes me up to make a cuppa 😡😡😡. I would pay more then £70 for this new pump just so that it’s quiet. I LOVE this new one, can’t even tell it’s on!
Good informative video Mel. But what's with the silly thumbnail advertising the video. Lot of this silly click batey stuff going on. Your content is good, stop wasting time setting up such silly images. Others are even worse.

You need a pressure regulator vessel on the output of the pump to maintain the pressure.
I have an accumulator if that’s what you mean
@@BigVanSmallWorld yep that's it.

What no drama, no problems, this video went far too smoothly, well done mate. 👍
Yes really happy days lol 😂

Cheers buddy really appreciate your encouragement and support 👍🍻👍
just a little tip.....when doing plumbing use a piece of wadded bread to plug the leaky hole! the bread will dissolve and not clog any debris filters

That old one sounded like an electric pepper grinder lol, nice job
Hay buddy 👍🙏👍
Great job Mel. I could not get down and back up like that lol. I would have had to crawl out and reach for something to pull me up xx

I do like a water pump 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think you might need to adjust that screw a little more, sounds like it is reaching its set pressure then turning off then on again.
Quick remark (and we know you love a quick remark do you? ;-p

Money well spent. Gotta say the £9 er did well all things considered.
Hi, Mel normally need a pressure regulator as roger rabbit says great minds think alike???
You siad it was noisy - you had it screwed to what is in effect, a sounding board
Hi Mel having trouble with my water pump its not flowing and pulsing and won't stop when you turn the tap off liike it's got air in it.
Oils be the micro switch on top of the pump playing up
That pump sounds rough as!!
Hi Mel . good job..But . Bearing wise ..can those type pumps be mounted Vertically ?? I think Horizontal Makes more sense 🤔
Hi Mel, nothing to do with the pump. couldn't find the link to the van life CB page on Facebook. any chance you could post it? cheers. Colin 🙂👍

Thats a diaphragm pump mel not an impeller pump, the seaflo, is much quieter than the shurflo
Oh dear lord thank you for pointing that out 👍

hang on looks like they have changed it !!!!
Any word re small drinking water tap an filte?,ta much, ps, check twice fit once.
Great vid as ever. Quick question- do you have an accumulator? About to fit the tanks/sink in Rita, and going for the sureflo 7.
Thank you and yes I do 👍
Old pump sounded like my soup blender. 😄 Have a great week, Mel. 💙💧
Thank you and you 🙏

I would have bought 2 of the old type, keep 1 as Spare, and save £40

@@SACREDTRAVELLER just muffle the sound same as a Diesel heater
Hi Mel, just clicked on the the url for that pump on Amazon and it comes up as a diaphragm pump rather than an impeller pump, is it the right link?
Oh that’s odd thanks for letting me know 👍🍻👍
Yes I think the tk7 is a diaphragm pump. We have a tk10 in our truck and that’s diaphragm.
Would that be suitable for a shower pump mel I have same 10 quid pump you had donny
Yes buddy it works great 👍

Yes totally go for it - it’s amazing HOW QUIET it is x
