  • Footage from beginner’s fight choreography seminar that took place at Ealing Kung Fu School in West London. The training was intended to be a light hearted experience, an opportunity for people of any ability to learn the basics of stage combat and then practice a few short prearranged fight sequences.
These choreographed fight scenes incorporate contemporary and traditional martial arts movements, providing a foundation to experiment with stage fighting techniques and simple combinations. As with most fight choreography the combat is theatrical in nature, with realism not being the aim.
Fight choreography can be a useful training tool for martial artists wanting to develop fundamental skills such as coordination, timing, and fluidity, in a relaxed environment. Creating ideas and concepts of your own and then testing them at speed is physically challenging. If performed with intention it can also have some practical value.

Finn Collier you should have some background in a martial art beforehand. Or else your moves look sloppy like some of the people in the video.
