Fantastic match. I'm beginning to think that a double-handed backhand is perhaps more suitable for the modern game.
I just can't see Federer being the GOAT anymore.. its a debate between Nadal and Djokovic
Its simply age difference man! Fed was at his prime before Nadal and Djoko were even winning anything. Look up the year 2005. You are just plain ignorant.
Watching Nadal now, i think he is the Goat!
Federer’s backhand was actually pretty good in this match. Better than 2008
his backhand was always good except against nadal
@@juankruh6816 But this match was against Nadal and his backhand wasn't bad
@@viksinha5410 It was bad, considering the fact that he ended up giving so much court space for Nadal to hit an open court winner in, as a result of Federer obsessively turning around his backhand to hit a forehand, due to his lack of confidence in his backhand
His backhand is bad here
One of the best matches..
4:38:17 Whether it was in or out it is Rafa’s point because he hit a winner while he was falling 😂
it was only a winner because Federer didn't bother getting it because his shot was out...
@@benparsons4979 Yeah I know lol
It feels weird that Nadal hasn't won this title since. One big reason is ofcourse that a couple of years later Djokovic became... Well Djokovic and started dominating the tournament but it still feels odd.
Could have something to do with being upstaged by Fed during the trophy presentation. First victory there and his moment of glory was stolen. Something like that can get in one's head and be really tough to shake off.
He did it again 🙂
@@Olly_2024_ And in what a way he did it!
He should have won AO14 but got injured in the final against Wawrinka who he was 12-0 against before that match.
I love these full match replays 🤩
it's 2020 now, not 2002 . so...yes,we need a HD version ! And thank u
Thank you for this,
Rafa's first Australian Open and the first Spaniard to win the title
Keep in mind Rafa had a nearly 6 hour long semi final before this
nadal hc gs
ao 5 finals 1 win
uso 5 finals 1 loss
🤷♂️
Didn't he lose USO final twice to Djoker? Or was it vice versa?
@@yanair2091 just once

Because all the other times before this he was #1

Rafa aka Bane to federer . oow, I wondered what would break first. Your spirit or your body... Kidding. Great respect for the maestro.
