- The Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim (R2R2R) is one of the most classic and sought after trail running adventures in the U.S. It holds a very prestigous place to many trail and ultra runners, and could be considered a sort of pilgrimage or right of passage. We took the Kaibab trail all the way across and back. Boasting roughly 43 miles in length and 11,000 ft. of gain, this was no easy day. It was as difficult as it was beautiful, as exhausting as it was transformative, and as grueling as it was joyous. Type 2 fun at its finest, this was one of the most incredible days I have ever spent on the trails. Shirk societal norms and keep exploring!!!
Looking good my dude !
Bravo! We are Super! 👍💪👌

You left at 5 am... when did you make it back? Curious of the overall time and milage.
Thanks..doing R3 Oct 1st
It was a 21 hour day for us. Plenty of slow going, and taking it in. We also set out under the stars for 3-4 hours around skeleton point on our way back. It was an incredible day... and night. Best of luck to you on your journey!
Great video guys!!👍

My next stop lol
Awesome video - I plan on doing this in 2024. Curious what you used for filming - your footage was amazing?
This was done on a GoPro Hero 6 with a karma gimbal. GoPros have come a long ways and the gimbal is no longer even necessary! Best of luck out there👍
Hi, great video! Can you tell me the date of the run?
Thanks! We ran Oct. 11, 2020.
What was your mileage on this route? Thx!
Thanks for sharing! Where did y’all park? I know you can’t park at SK trailhead. I’m thinking of a solo attempt here in the next 2 weeks .
We parked at Pipe Creek Vista. It was a short jog along the rim to the S. Kaibab TH.
Excellent job guys! Thanks for taking us along, and putting this video together. Your camera did a fantastic job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
