I spent many great years working as a contractor in the valley. I always found time in the evenings to go explore all these great places! I remember the day I stumbled across Luckett vineyards and that famous phone booth! Great video!
Another beautiful video guys. Nova Scotia wine country ... who would've thunk it??? That lunch looked scrumptious and you guys are turning into wine connoisseurs ... good for you, live the good life!!!
Thank you for sharing this video. My mom Noreen Kimber owns The Old Shipyard Campground In Parrsborro, Nova Scotia. I can't wait to visit the wineries.
I just love going on this scenic adventures with you both. You had such clear weather the day of the wineries 🍷 loved the vineyards and how the Canada flag is a great contrast. Can't wait until the day we can get to Nova Scotia... Love from Kayleen and Mark down under 🇦🇺
@@DelightfulTravellers we will definitely be trying the wine 🍷 and I think this time of year would be awesome as we haven’t been in Canada 🇨🇦 or anywhere in the fall 🍁 as we don’t really get that here . Cheers kayleen
Lucketts is still on my list to visit , been here 12 years and not made it yet, this summer hopefully ! Flying Apron restaurant is supposed to be amazing as well. If you are interested in a traditional British afternoon tea, check out Birkenshaws in Amherst, could also hop over into NB when bubble opens up and check out Hopewell Rocks and walk on the ocean floor, within NS you can walk the ocean floor at Burntcoat, a truly unique NS experience, they host a gourmet supper event via the flying apron at Burntcoat, again hopefully after covid.
Hey guys! 👋 Good question... answer is we're not really sure yet. Covid has thrown us (and everyone) a massive curve ball. Wherever we do end up we just hope it's warm - Anna
I am from the Annapolis Valley and enjoyed your video. There are actually 4 waterfalls within 3km of Baxters harbour. You must check out Cape Split and don't forget your drone. The five islands area has some really nice waterfalls that are easily as well. I am sure your videos will help promote NS.
I wasn't aware of your channel but RUclips just recommended this to me. Great video and now I'll be sure to check out your other ones. I don't know if you're aware of Cape Split but it is an awesome with amazing elevated vistas not far passed the Lookoff. After a nice 6k or so woodsy hike with some lookoff vistas you arrive at the end of the point and it gives you the best views on the Bay of Fundy. The elevated vistas has beautiful views in every direction and the cliffs are amazing. Optionally there is a large rope nearby which you can use to make your way down to the sea-level for more great views and the hardy can take a dip in the cool Bay of Fundy waters.
Welcome to our channel first off! We're glad you found us 😃 Cape Split has been on our radar for so long now. We'll have to get there eventually - Trevor
Mais um ótimo vídeo de vcs. Parabéns. Pretendo morar aí, em NS, um dia, mal posso esperar. Gostei muito também dos seus vídeos no Brasil. Another great video from you guys. Congratulations. I intend to live there, in NS, one day, I can't wait. I also really enjoyed your videos in Brazil.
Bay of Fundy is supposed to have gems worth hunting, but watch the clock. You dont want to get stuck out there! Fossils, agates, amethyst are a few I have heard of.
Looking up the wines , Luckett seem interesting and will check out but ... this is England and so many US and Canadian suppliers have no outlet here. Meanwhile back to the Lebanese Chateau Musar :)
@@DelightfulTravellers I was surprised you missed Glen Breton when you were in the Inverness area recently. Food, music, whiskey in a stunning setting.
Loved this video! if you guys like travel + wineries I have a few vlogs on the wineries down in Baja Mexico- feel free to check it out after this one :)
You most likely know that Nova Scotia is on the same latitude as the UK. We also have a burgeoning wine industry, and have even made sparklingly wines that have beaten French ones. On a sadder note, a major reason as to why this is.possible is global warming.
Actually you guys in the UK are much further north and you rarely seem to get snow. No fair! 😅 We've yet to try any wine from your region. We'll have to get on that! - Trevor
The UK is much further north, generally the same latitude as Labrador which is unbelievable to us. Even London is just a little further south than St. Anthony's in northern Newfoundland. You better really hope that climate change does alter the path of the Gulf Stream for you guys! The Gulf Steam is amazing though; I reached it once in a boat from NS and it was like sailing into a sauna and the transition was instant.
@@DelightfulTravellers My mistake! It’s Newfoundland that is on the same latitude. I’m in Cornwall in the far SW of the UK. Thanks to the Gulf Stream it almost never goes below 0 Celcius. We get very excited if it snows.
