Reasons why travel matters...puts history into perspective for us and teaches us lessons that classrooms can't, or don't really drive home! Thanks for sharing your travels with us!
Still trying to watch these in order, though my pace has slowed recently. It's so nice to see people without masks on, walking close to each other, meeting new people without worrying.
I could see in your face that you were frustrated Nate. I'm sorry about your camera. But I'm glad you were continuing this series from your old camera. Glad you were ok! You are good people Kara and Nate. It's people like you who makes this world still beautiful.
Y'all's videos are so awesome and inspirational. even with the terrible camera mishap and the sushi truck being closed Kara is still just so happy with her Burger. Nate just takes accountability for his actions and she is just there to support. It's pretty great watching y'alls travels thank you for posting.
First, God bless you Kara for your sneezes. Second, Nate, accidents happen! Just extremely thankful you didn't get hurt. Third, I didn't even notice the spot. And lastly, why not mail the camera home?? Be careful on those boards and SAFE travels!
The camera is replaceable. NATE, YOU ARE NOT! Thank goodness you are okay. Atleast you have a back up camera. Will keep my fingers crossed that you can get this camera fixed. Kara, I would have been kicking the tires on that sushi truck and demanding that they open up! Seriously, what were they thinking??? LOL!! I LOVE me some sushi too! :)
Bummer! Always a rough day when you break a camera... We've broken a few ourselves. The worse was seeing our drone fall out of the sky and shatter into pieces. Hope the next one lasts longer!
Just want you guys to know I found you while researching Angkor wat and I'm so thankful to have stumbled upon your channel! Love your personalities and your editing style. Keep up the good work! We all live vicariously through you guys lol
That would be the most interesting walking tour so far (for me). Glad you weren't hurt in the mishap with the camera. Food trucks will cheer you back up! And I think your idea for future kids of taking them to see history is much better than sitting in school learning history.
Hard to make kids care/want to learn history sometimes until they get to be adults. I’ve always enjoyed Texas history because that’s where I grew up. My dad was in WWII but he didn’t talk much about it. I know he was in Paris. Love that y’all try to include history in your trips…..don’t stop!!
My first trip to Europe brought a stark realization that I should have learned more in my World History class in high school but even more exciting would have been if my class could have traveled to Europe but that would never have happened at that time. So, you have a very good point. I wanted my sons to travel internationally but that never happened. Traveling internationally changes ones perception of life so much and the values you two are realizing will be priceless. Stay save.
I loved that black spot!! It added character...but I can't even see it now. Glad that you weren't hurt Nate! It's better to lose the camera than break a bone or two!
Really appreciate your perspective on teaching your kids the terrible truths of history. We are a homeschooling family of 4 girls and this has been our greatest passion...to teach our kids the truth of history and allow them to experience, discuss and question it for themselves...and above all LEARN from it so that they can be better and make better decisions...and learn to fight to keep and maintain their freedoms! And learn to be thankful for the many freedoms they enjoy as Americans, but also understand and appreciate that they have to continue to fight to be free (which they appreciate even more as AF “brats!”)
You are on the right track to take your children to Europe so that they can experience history - this is one of the things I love the most about traveling to Germany - and the food & beer...
Loved this one, top places I want to go travel to when my kids are older is Poland and Germany to see where their great great grandparents came from. My husbands great grand parents came from Poland before the Nazis invaded. So glad I found your channel!
Also, I'm glad Kara wasn't mad (or wasn't acting mad) about Nate breaking the camera. I've made stupid mistakes before and it's the worst thing when you feel really bad about it and someone else is making you feel worse. :( Glad Nate wasn't hit by a car - that's what matters.
I had a history teacher who was very passionate about what he was teaching, almost everybody was interested in that class when he was the teacher. Unfortunately, most teachers are not so passionate, so they can't manage to make us curious and interested in certain subjects, especially history. You can be the ones to start making your kids interested and aware of what happened during WWI or WWII. I remember much clearer the stories our parents or uncles told us than what the teachers taught us in school. :) Greetings from Romania (of which you are pretty close right now)!
Considering your love for ice cream, be sure to check our Polish ice cream (called lody). It is delicious! Would love to hear/see your reaction! I'm American but was raised in Poland, so this is an exciting episode in your adventure to watch. Safe travels!
OMG Kara that skateboard! My first skateboard other than my old woodie with the metal wheels looked just like that except it was yellow! My first one with removable trucks and poly wheels!
The graphic novel Maus by Art Speigelman is an incredible look into the life of a Polish, Jewish family during the Holocaust. I'd recommend it to anyone (middle school and up) wanting to learn more about that period of history, particularly in Poland.
Contact Cannon and you may just send it to them and if you bought insurance on it, there may be no charge. They can send it back home to you in Tennessee. Then maybe one of your relatives can send it to you if you are staying somewhere for a long time. It is really cool that you guys are open to other culture and history, whether it be bad or good. In the U.S., people especially these days don't want to empathize or sympathize, they just want to hate.
Awe Nate! This is so sad! I know now you have a new new camera for year 2...but that had to have hurt in more ways than one. Still trying to catch up. Its sorta my night time routine to keep me from watching trash tv. At least your vlogs are educational.
🚫🛹📷 I knew those skateboards were going mess you or your gear up sometime. I ride a long board and I use a DJI Action and still get nervous. PS....we absolutely love your Australian friends...They are the best 🤣
I grew up in Europe as a military kid, and I grew up with a huge love of history because I learned it where it happened! It would never stick with me when I was in a classroom reading out of a textbook - so yes I HIGHLY recommend taking your kids around Europe to learn. My mom would use it as an excuse to pull me out of school all the time ;)
My love for history was knowing that those who don't understand the past are condemned to repeat it in the future! I think that when you show your kids all the travels you guys are doing, they will get a natural curiosity.
Having a washing machine has got to be one my favorite airbnb/ villa rental features. I recently stayed at a hotel in Bali where all the rooms had tiny washer-dryers ... the best.
I know I'm 4 years late but your sensor needs cleaning to get rid of the spot on your old camera. When your aperture is at the larger numbers (smallest opening) dust spots can be seen more often, such as when filming in very light conditions, such as in daylight and especially when filming the sky. Should be professionally cleaned but some people risk a do it yourself kit. I hope you work that out...in the future when I catch up watching lol
love you guys >;-) hope you loved poland and the history lesson i was born in Warsaw but left with my parents when i was 12 i know live in the states krakow is actually my favorite polish town thanx for being intreseted its nice to see enjoy my herritage ps i/m going to thailand next year after i graduate going to chang mai gotta try that Khao soi >;-)
The dress Kara is wearing looks so comfertable. I want one too. :) Dang that camera sh'te. I have done it. It sucks big time. I'm glad you founbd streetfood. That's what you like the best. :) Learning history and about other countries seems to be a bit of lacking over in Us. Very sad.
Haha I had the same tour guide in the Jewish quarter, and i've gotten that pulled pork sandwich 5X...so good!! And I cant believe i didnt bump into ya'll in Kazimierz ;)
Hey guys! Me and my husband love watching your travel vlogs. We are going to Chiang Mai later this year and can't wait. Kara, everytime I see you wearing the light blue dress you're wearing in this video, I say to my husband how much I love the dress and I said I was gonna ask you where it's from? You might have got it a while back but I might be able to find it online :) x
Kara and Nate Ahh okay, prob no chance of me finding it then, ha ha. Well if you ever get fed up of it feel free to send it my way, lol. Thaaanks. We are a bit behind, currently watching you in Argentina but loving them :)
Seriously? You are far more valuable than a stupid camera. I know your frustrated, but please don’t say stuff like that in front of your wife. I was widowed young, buried my husband a day before his 42nd bday. He was killed while training on his bicycle. Love watching you both soooo much . Stay safe!
Nate, it is perfectly fine to break a camera but your body is definitely your biggest priority. So never sacrifice your body for a material possession. Glad that you are fine.
Wow...pretty cool scenery of the area you're in...and I'm hugely interested in WW2 I LOVE LOOOOOOVE an HBO series some years back called Band of Brothers...it's SO SO SO GOOD!...now that your around Europe once you've seen the movie you'd recognize some of the places and stories...Band of Brothers is a true story...it's a good series I've watched a dozen or more times for sure... :) looking forward to the vlogs coming up...thanks for sharing and sorry about the camera...BIG HUGS FROM IDAHO! :)
Just glad you are not hurt! (considering the $5,000 deductible) and to be honest, that dust spot is starting to grow on me, may be it's a sign that it is the only camera that you need!
I hope you bought the camera with one of your credit cards. Most reward cards have purchase protection that replace new purchases up to $500 ($10k in case of new Chase Sapphire Reserve). You have 90 days to 120 days depending on the card from date of purchase to claim this benefit. Call the credit card company.
Awww, Nate. I'm so sorry. You didn't buy the insurance on it from Amazon? By the way, I'm glad you're safe. The camera is replaceable. You are NOT. Always remember that, please. ❤❤❤❤❤
On the bright side you guys had the older camera to fall back on. Imagine for some reason you guys had decided to either discard it or pass it to Nate's sister to bring back to the US to lighten your load. You guys would have been "cameraless". That would have been a total catastrophe.
2 things. By some miracle, there is no spot that I can see using the old camera. Second, Kara, I love that dress. Can't wait to see the Auschwitz vlogs. I predict it will be life changing for y'all. Glad that this is part of your trip.

When I feel down or stressed I just watch one of your videos and I’m good
Same!!
Your Aussie friends are amazing!
As a history teacher, this is the absolute best way to teach history, being in the road experiencing firsthand!
First, God bless you Kara for your sneezes. Second, Nate, accidents happen! Just extremely thankful you didn't get hurt. Third, I didn't even notice the spot. And lastly, why not mail the camera home?? Be careful on those boards and SAFE travels!

Thank you Marilyn :) And yes how can they do that to me?!
Hi.does anyone know what camera he is using?
I DID THE SAME TOUR WHEN I STUDIED ABROAD THIS PAST SUMMER!! Love y’all so much, going back to the oldie videos ♥️
Bummer! Always a rough day when you break a camera... We've broken a few ourselves. The worse was seeing our drone fall out of the sky and shatter into pieces. Hope the next one lasts longer!
That sounds TERRIBLE! so sorry :(
@@KaraandNate hii i am a huge fan! pls repllyy
I have 5 kids and there is no way to make them care about history other than just exposing them to it. Love your vlogs!!!
Just want you guys to know I found you while researching Angkor wat and I'm so thankful to have stumbled upon your channel! Love your personalities and your editing style. Keep up the good work! We all live vicariously through you guys lol
Awww thanks Taylor! :)

At 3:11 Orange building on the left, on the bottom floor, that's my grandmas apartment :D
I loved that black spot!! It added character...but I can't even see it now. Glad that you weren't hurt Nate! It's better to lose the camera than break a bone or two!
I’m so thankful that you are okay Nate.
Your Aussie friends are never boring! 😆

Great idea and way to go on thinking ahead for the future. Show your children the history that is all around them.

Greetings from Romania (of which you are pretty close right now)!
For me starting to care was reading The Diary of Anne Frank, that seems like a good place to start when you're young.
For me it was The story of Zoya and Shura, absolutely destroyed me as a kid. And knowing that it's written by their mother drove it home even more
Considering your love for ice cream, be sure to check our Polish ice cream (called lody). It is delicious! Would love to hear/see your reaction! I'm American but was raised in Poland, so this is an exciting episode in your adventure to watch. Safe travels!

Kara and Nate and Kids! Those would be the cutest vlogs :) Can't wait to see the rest of your krakow vlogs!
Aww that has a ring to it for sure! :)

I can't see the black spot now?
neither do I
it decides when it wants to make it's appearance ;)
Not seen it for the last couple of Vlogs! Perhaps it's a bit of good karma because you broke the new one?
Awe Nate! This is so sad! I know now you have a new new camera for year 2...but that had to have hurt in more ways than one. Still trying to catch up. Its sorta my night time routine to keep me from watching trash tv. At least your vlogs are educational.
+HeckNoGMOs Flattered to be in your routine :) Yes he still is mad at himself about that!
That's sad. Hope you get the camera fixed.

Who cares about the camera as long as Nate is okay
Casualty of the Vlog. As we say in racing, "sh*t happens quick!"
Haha I had the same tour guide in the Jewish quarter, and i've gotten that pulled pork sandwich 5X...so good!! And I cant believe i didnt bump into ya'll in Kazimierz ;)
So far my favorite video!
Great video. Out of curiosity, where you able to have just the screen replaced on the G7x?
I know how much that sucks but at least you are ok!!!!! Shit happens and you are ok so don’t blame yourself
Hey guys! Me and my husband love watching your travel vlogs. We are going to Chiang Mai later this year and can't wait. Did you go to Ariel for dinner? AMAZING. Just don't talk when the small band comes out to play. I was yelled at. Heh.
Your Aussie friends are great.
What camera is that ?
3:24

Oskar Schindler was a great man he saved a lot of people , at risk of his own life
The old camera should be named “Dotty” lol.
3:23 2xsneeze
I can't help but think all the love for the black spot has indirectly caused the death of this new camera. :/
#longlivetheblackspot
But I am also SO sorry for your loss :/
+Andrew Phelan Yall are too funny! Black spot is back for a little while.... Enjoy! :)
Your attempt to say "czesc" cracks me up hahaha
You need to take the Casey Neistat course on skating and Vlogging at the same time.
Guy is a master, or he just goes through a zillion cameras.
hey guys, I love your videos. just wandering, how do you afford to travel to these exotic places and also, did you guys summit Mount Everest?
There is a donation page on their website and in the description! It is called "keep us on the road"!
And all I am thinking right now is: I´d lowkey wanna see the crashfootage from the flying camera :-)
Its actually cześć :)
You really don't want to be in a hospital over a camera, they make more of them. 😁
😩😱 but it forms part the vlogger life
Yes we love sone good old gousts new polish word for hello
just abandon the idea of skateboarding...
Pronanciation tip on Kraków: Crackoof;)
On the bright side you guys had the older camera to fall back on. Imagine for some reason you guys had decided to either discard it or pass it to Nate's sister to bring back to the US to lighten your load. You guys would have been "cameraless". That would have been a total catastrophe.
😱
Polish sushi isnt that much wierder than american sushi though.... Sushi from a different country than Japan.. Just saying...
Did she just say stinky??
2 things. By some miracle, there is no spot that I can see using the old camera. Second, Kara, I love that dress.
Can't wait to see the Auschwitz vlogs. I predict it will be life changing for y'all. Glad that this is part of your trip.
2:11 - sometimes ya just need to randomly twerk
Come on Nate, you can’t say “bless you” to your lovely bride?
