      It’s a fantastic reserve. Make sure you get there for first light and there’s a very good chance of seeing the otters 👍🏻

    Had my first visit there just before Christmas..when nearly everything was frozen...was lucky enough to see the bittern at the first hide you went to..aswell as 2 water rail and got my best ever marsh harriers shots...look forward to going back on a warmer day

      @@danwillis_photography did..although just a quick visit on my way home from Scotland to the Wirral[burton mere rspb and the Wirral coast well worth a visit]..looking forward following yours and your dad's footsteps in May..Great videos ..keep them coming

    Been here once on the way back from the Lakes, a Rolls Royce of a reserve ! Nice video 👍😍

    I live not far to the south of Leighton Moss at Lancaster and I’ve been following the Starling Murmurations on a regular basis this year. Normally they murmuration and Roost in the reeds at Leighton Moss but this year they have been flying over the reserve and murmurating and roosting about half a mile to three quarters of a mile to the north at Silverdale Moss. My car was covered in their droppings yesterday evening.

      Thanks for your comment Gary I think a trip to Silverdale Moss will have to be on the cards then. You certainly live in a beautiful part of the country

      @@danwillis_photography The best place to park for the starlings is Waterslack Road. There's a layby big enough for about 5 cars or so.
