I remember hearing Travis on his debut album. A bit gritty but passionate vocalist and a real musical talent. I was sold first listen. I remember watching a RUclips video of Travis talking about the competition he was in when he debuted. He was tossed in with Garth, Alan, Tim and a number of others. He has held his own. Always a fan.
I could have pulled out any one or two of my country music artist collection and favorites, but Travis Tritt and Bob Seger is all I listened to during my physical rehabilitation after a traumatic brain injury during combat military operations. It took me damn near a year to go from mumbling words, laying in bed with a contraption on my head to physically walking again while I was at Walter Reed Army medical center. I really thought I was on my way to full recovery and fully expected to return to my job with 101st ABD/AAst Ft. Cambell, Ky, but 6 months later I had several bad epileptic aphasia back to back causing the loss/use of upper-lower right extremities (power chair bound now). But through it all, Travis and Bob pull me out my dark hours. I was forced to medically retire after serving 18 yrs in the military and 16 years federal civil service. Been retired 23 years, but still have those two cassette tapes, the walkman and ear phones. Today I have my collection of country music artists, Zedeco, bluegrass, blues, Jazz Rock, Tejano Tex Mix, Hill Billy Rock but could never adjust or develop a taste for hard rock or acid rock for that matter. Pray for our country music artist, to many have died way before their time all because of drug abuse early on in their careers. Waylon, Johnny Cash, Stevie Vaughan, George Jones, elvis, Jimmie Hendrix, Texas Tornados, Bob Wills, Jimmy Rogers, Ernest Tubb and many others left us their legacy, but not many are carrying on those traditions. Country ain't country without the twin Texas fiddles, electric steel guitar and the good ole bass. Thankfully we still have Dwight, Travis, Allen Jackson and others who got to play with our belated legends, but time marches on. May God Bless You all!
Just saw the incredible Travis last night 10/5/24 and he's still kickin ass...truly one of the greatest performers of all time...and was so happy to see Wendell still making great music with him....thank you Travis for the outstanding music, memories and "always" keeping it REAL! Your a treasure brother...
Been listening to Travis since he started....drank many beers to his music.....still listen to his music....still drink many beers to his music.Travis is definitely one of the greatest singer/entertainers that's ever been or will be, period.
I have seen him 7 times. Went an 8th time but the show got canceled because of a tornado warning. Broke my heart 💔. My youngest son is named after him. I have taken him to 3 concerts. In fact Travis called him up to the stage and shook his hand. One of the best moments of my life.
This man was and is easily one of the most under rated country stars. He deserves so much more fame, money, and recognition that he has ever got from Nashville. But then again he's an outlaw and does his own thing. Much respect Travis.
Travis’s hero was a guy named Waylon Jennings and that’s not bad company to keep but he’s proud of being cut out of that mold which included Johnny Cash,Hank Jr.,Willie Nelson,Travis is 1 of those who stuck by his beliefs and his music !!
Travis - I have been a huge fan since the beginning. I remember having a t-shirt from one of your concerts when my kids were young, and they thought the picture on it of you was actually ME. (I had cool hair back then) My wife and I invited you to our wedding back in 1993 - and now are celebrating 30 years of marriage on September 11th. And, no, we're not upset you didn't show up for our wedding. I enjoyed this video, and Thank You for all the music, the concerts, the memories, and finally, for keeping it country - even though it had your signature of just the perfect amount of rock mixed in. Thanks again.
I would love to go see you but I don't have any way I live in a nursing home.in leaksville ms.not far from where you played one night about 5 miles l wanted to go so bad but nobody wanted to be bothered with my wheelchair. anyway I hope you come back by us again I would love for you to come to the home, I just need to tell you my oldest sons name was James Travis
It amazes me that Travis has a whole new Generation of fans...it's awesome. Time sure flies, seems like yesterday when I met him in Nashville at Fanfare! And his songs are not new, but stand the test of time!
Travis is one of the Greatest Country singer ever! He is the very Best Son in law ever i love him dearly and is very Proud of him great to my daughter his wife Theresa great daddy God Bless him and keep on Blessing him… Love him to the Moon and Back!!❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸😘😘
I have followed this man since the beginning! The soul in his voice just blew me away! I bought his 1st album right away, as well as for all my friends, telling Everyone who would listen, that he was going 'to be somebody' great!! I got a few eye rolls of course, because of my passion for country music. By the time T-R-O-U-B-L-E came along, I took great joy in singing the toldya so, in-your-face anthem. My husband laughs at me all the time when I see Travis with something new. I'm so happy, excited, and proud of his accomplishments. Hubby says I talk like he's my son. Of course, I just smile and can only imagine how his Mama feels. I'm just a fan, I'd like to say I'm his biggest fan, but there's always someone bigger/better than you. His songwriting skills, I envy. They're so heartfelt. He is truly gifted. Like I said, basically I'm obsessed. I don't have the typical teen-fandom fantasies about my admired artists. My fantasies,if you will, are simple: just to sit around a campfire with guitars and pick their brains, for writing styles, inspirations, advice even. That would be a slice of heaven on earth for me. Congratulations Travis, you've made it as far as I believed you would and I don't think you're done yet.😊🇺🇸💖
You put on the best concert ive been to.Nobody can sing a love song like you..Miss hearing new songs on the radio from you.. AnitaMareeFromSouthCarolina 😀🌼☀️🌻🌞😄

Another one of my favorite country singers. Back in the eighties they were giving away tickets at a musis store in Bangor Maine about 10 miles from where l live. Every day l went to that record store hoping they would draw my name. They drew my name the last day of the drawing. Got to see him in his red and blue suit. What a thrill. Great concert!

I am a Travis Tritt fan from Bremen/Germany. It was very interesting to listen to the interview, but as well to read the many comments. For me Travis is still one of the performers of the kind of county music I`ve always loved and i realy don`t care how he wears his hair. It`s the music that counts. Wish once in my life I could see him on stage, but I`m afraid that will never happen-
I have always loved country music! Coming form a Mexican/American. I'm from s small south Texas border town. Weslaco, TX to be exact and when I was in high school in '89 I would crank up my pioneer stereo jamming to Travis Tritt in my '69 ford pickup truck !! Still listening to Travis' music in 2020 drinking some cold ones!!

I went to Sprayberry HS in Marietta, GA with TT. He was a year ahead of me. I remember him and another guy playing guitar & banjo together, sitting on hay bales in the middle of the lunchroom during Fall Festival. Good Times! At the time, the banjo was on par with Travis' guitar playing - I've always wondered if they keep up, or make music together anymore. Interestingly, that banjo player is now currently one of the principles of that same Dealers Supply Co. where Travis used to work. Small world, huh?!
We miss ya Travis, you are country...Just watched you, Waylon, Joe, Steve, with Porter and that was country when it was country..Glad to see your living a good life and happy..

I have met so many musicians and have played with people i never thought i would. Bluegrass campgrounds are the best way to get to know the musicians, i have been in bristol ten. in August the bands would play knee deep in the creeks.

I am a Travis Tritt fan from Bremen/Germany. It was very interesting to listen to the interview,
but as well to read the many comments.

Thanks for following your dream. You’ve done WELL👍
We miss ya Travis, you are country...Just watched you, Waylon, Joe, Steve, with Porter and that was country when it was country..Glad to see your living a good life and happy..
Would be great to see travis come to marietta ohio. To play at the people's bank theater.

I think that little restaurant bar club in Marietta was Ms Kitty’s which is where he was the house band.
or the buckboard
He played both but Ms Kitty's was where he was the house singer persay.
I've played them both in years past.
Murph's Lounge in Marietta. He did a news segment couple years ago either fox 5 or 11 alive I think.
him mark and clint these new singers aint nothin like them
It’s of love and blessings sent to you Travis and Family.

I appreciate you my great fan
My mom was huge fan. She used to go see him at Kennesaw Inn.
Back when we had GOOD COUNTRY VENUES!! Anybody remember Miss Kitties???
@@martybowen1 Yeah I saw John Anderson Seminole Wind concert at Miss Kitties!!
@@acedawg278 Awesome!! I wish it was still there. I got to see David Allen Coe and Ronnie Milsap in Kennesaw at Cowboys before they tore it down.
@@martybowen1 I haven't been to those kinds of places in at least 15years. My goodness how time slips away.
I like your updated look!!!
Thanks my friend and good fan
I been a fan since "Country Club".
Absolutely love Travis ❤️
I have met so many musicians and have played with people i never thought i would. Bluegrass campgrounds are the best way to get to know the musicians, i have been in bristol ten. in August the bands would play knee deep in the creeks.
Thanks man,,,I appreciate your love and support
Travis went to Sprayberry high school with Marcus Bagwell. At one time he bought a farm in Jasper Ga. I would pass his house on my way to work.

Spent many a day in the Marietta Square!! : )
Are we going to forget the fact he reunited the greatest Rock Band in the Eagles back in 1993?
Bought a lot of HVAC equipment there. I worked for Green Heating & Cooling(Canton Ga.)
