Anakin looks like he desperately wants to beg for her forgiveness. And then at the same time swells with pride as his surrogate daughter keeps fighting the darkness, just like he taught her too. Such a moving scene.
I really enjoyed Ahoska. It felt like a real tribute for us fans who’ve loved Clone wars & Rebels. Hayden came through and blessed us with magical moments. Seeing things I’ve never thought I’d see in live action. Grateful
Hayden in 2002: "It blows my mind I get to play Anakin Skywalker" Hayden in 2005: "It blows my mind I get to play Anakin Skywalker" Hayden in 2022: "It blows my mind I get to play Anakin Skywalker" Hayden in 2023: "It blows my mind I get to play Anakin Skywalker"
Anakin has been a slave his entire life. First on Tatooine, then by being the chosen one for the Jedi, then being the servent of the Sith Emperor. This is the only scene we ever saw Anakin... free. He finally doesnt have to respind to anyone. He is at peace.
I think Anakin is the only character that committed so much atrocities including killing a lot of children, but people still end up having a soft spot for him.
@lightm1019 No that's not what i meant. Sure people love the Joker, but it's not like when they're watching a scene of him they're rooting or pumping up for the joker to successfully kill the civilians. However most people seems to enjoy most Vader scenes, specifically when his fighting.
This ending kinda reminded me of the ending of Return Of The Jedi. Where Anakin, Yoda and Obi-Wan reappear as Force Ghosts in front of Luke. That's a nice reference and callback.
I've actually had a deep observation to why George Lucas changed the actor for Force spirit Anakin. When he started out as a kid, Anakin was like 9-10 years old. Then 10 years passed when he was a Padawan and married Padme. Then 3 years in the Clone Wars and then he became Darth Vader. And another 19 years into the first movie from the original trilogy. Then between that and Return of the Jedi is 4 years. And the fact that they still used Hayden for Force spirit Anakin again in the Ahsoka series. And Hayden Christensen is 42 years old as of now. Whereas, Sebastian Shaw is more older. Like in his 70's. Hence Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader would be in his mid 40's around the time of the Battle of Endor.
People who get disappointed because they "expected" more, do that to themselves. I never go into stuff "expecting" whatever I want, because you'll be disappointed. Watch it, enjoy it, and accept it is what it is. And in my eyes, it was a great season.
But any Star Wars fan would write any of these series twice maybe triple the times better. We don’t want more but we deserve the true law and great dialogue and real lightsaber movements. They felt sloppy and in obi wan it looked like a bat like Rey. I hope it improves because it isn’t hard.
Ah man, this series brought me down, I got emotional! I watched episode III at the cinema, and seeing Anakin again, especially from Clone Wars, is really good! Thank you for the trip Davi Filoni, I enjoyed every second!

This made it a trifecta of Anakin. Also, I liked the way they made the rings look, it feels like a true way such would look from the surface of an inhabitable planet.
Idc what anybody says, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is the most tragic character in the sci-fi universe ever. I will always hold a big spot for him in my heart.
Anakin is meant to be the focus of the film. His arc over anyone elses is the most transformative. Luke was going to be a Jedi no matter what. Leia was meant to be a leader. Han is meant to be the action. Vader wants the good, falls into the depths of despair and evil......only to be saved by something he shared with the one person he threw everything away for. I year too late for the first Star Wars trilogy. I remember watching each one as we got them on video. I was 21, when the second trilogy came out. I got to see Episode I and III in the theater. I remember the hate those films got at the time. I was 35 I believe when the next trilogy began. I remember everything as it was brought into the films for the first time. And I want that emphasized. I saw everything as it was brought in for the first time. Force lightning becoming a thing literally 10 or so minutes before the original trilogy ended. A villain brought in in the 2nd film with less than 5 minutes of screen time, and barely 20 minutes in the 3rd film, only to be killed off. A purple lightsaber causing one of the internets first shit storms with fans of the films. All of those new things brought in....basically as plot devices, or to show a more dominant power. Vader can choke someone......Palpi can fry you with lightning. So having a Diad in the force was nothing to me but an exciting new power in the canon. (which was done in one of the books already, that were removed from canon. Perhaps people can learn to read) Having Luke explain to Rey how it was the singular path views the Jedi held people to that ultimately led to the fall of the Jedi order and Anakin as well.....he ain't wrong. It is right there on film. Of course he seemed weak and whiny as a older Jedi. Made sense to me. Spent a lot of the first two films doing just that, to then find the guidance and wisdom of Obi-Wan and come out better for it. That was Rey to him. She did indeed bring him back. The fight scene with Kylo and Rey and the guards is still top tier. Bottom line. There was far more to enjoy of each of the trilogies, than there was to complain about. The final film has a big feeling of being rushed and retconed. The fans did that. The bitch fit they threw with Episode VIII made sure that was done. That is all on the fans. And it does jerk the story as a whole. But it was still overall enjoyable. At least to me. As was Rogue 1 and Solo. I have enjoyed the series they have done with Mandalorian, Obi-Wan, Boba, and now Ahsoka. Maybe because new things are always being introduced. Nostalgia is fine. No really it is.......but there has to be growth and new things as well. Just as there was with each of the 1st three trilogies, then the second 3 trilogies, and the final 3 trilogies. Let them introduce things into the pot too. You will find it a far more enjoyable thing, as this becomes so much more than a simple saga of films.
Literally took the words out of my mouth. I feel the exact same way. There's plot holes in a ll 3 trilogies, but I didn't let them affect me one bit. I love all 3 trilogies. Yes I do agree the sequal trilogy could've been so much more but you have to take a couple steps back and take a second look on why they ended up how they ended up. Carrie Fishers death had a HUGE impact negatively. I can go on and on, but some die hard fans as you said did it to themselves and bit off more than they could chew and expected what they wanted to happen
Personally I feel like the earlier scene between worlds where she sees him again isn’t as personal as this scene. The earlier part could have been her mind or some other power making her think she sees Anakin, that’s fine. But there’s no doubt when it comes to a force ghost that it’s the real person
I would have been more hyped if Anakin was riding a Loth wolf and then turns away and ride the Loth wolf back to the WBW I know it probably wouldn't be as emotional but it would be pretty cool
