The iPhone 6 Plus is one of the most dangerous opponents the Galaxy Note Edge is going to encounter out there on the marker. Knowing that, we are throwing the two on the ring for a quick face-off - watch what happens here!
You can't call the 6 plus a phablet, features make something a phablet, not size alone. Yes the 6 plus is big, way bigger than it should be thanks to those enormous bezels, but it has nothing on the software side to take advantage of the added screen size. It's simply a blown up iphone.
Do you call the Nexus 6 a phablet? Is so, that is quite biased.

Most consumers that buy a 6 inch phone because they want a larger screen not because they want to buy the Note so they can split the screen into 2 teeny weeny screens. When we surf the net, watch videos, type something, read papers or books, etc, the larger screen is brilliant. If I am doing anything productive, I want to do it properly so I use a computer not a 6 inch phone. I am sure if my boss thought I was using a phone to type reports he would be very disappointed. The Note is overkill and yes it will excite some and I respect that, however the iPhone 6 plus or the Nexus 6 will suit far more people than the Note will, so another win for the iPhone.
Why compare the note edge to other devices if you aren't even gonna show the features it has? The damn phone is a mini computer, idk why people even compare it to the iPhone, it's on a whole different level

I was thinking the exact same thing through out the whole review.
I have tried both, i6 Plus and Note Edge; the edge screen is so functional. It's truly having two screens in one cell phone. The i6 is basically an enlarged iPhone with awesome, reliable software. We all have learned to appreciate that from Apple. The Note Edge is simply a next technological step. I have learned to rely a lot on the edge screen for my most-used apps. The Edge screen is very convenient to use. I am extremely happy with the Note Edge and there's no way I can go back to another phone at the moment.
Well he forgot another best feature of the Iphone 6 plus, It bends.

They fixed that issue on newer iPhone 6 Plus phones in the manufacturing of them, so technically only if you bought the first few batches. But I am not sure if they changed the SKU # so you know which one is the OLDER bendable one and which one isn't. Personally I never keep a phone in my pocket, some phones have higher SAR levels and the latest study says it is not good for you.

I have an iphone 5 and just got the Note 4. I rarely use the iphone now. The pictures from the Note 4 are amazing. The young lady who sold me the Note 4 at Verizon had always used iphones, but admitted the Note 4 was better. TW is somewhat better than it used to be (on my original Note). Very happy to be back to the Note again.

And a lot of games now like Far Cry 4 will not work on a PC with Dual Core processors anymore. PC games have finally 10 years later taken advantage of the Quad Core processors and the newer GPU power house cards. Thank gawd no more "well this program can still run on a 486 computer from the 1980s." Although I did take a 486 PC once and put in a wicked fast graphics card and playing some games was too hard because it was making things look almost like warp speed.

I have been an android boy starting from my first smart phone Galaxy 1. Over the years, I've had Galaxy 1 2 3 4. The sole reason why I stayed away for Apple was the screen size. I decided to give Apple IPhone 6 plus a try and I can say its the best smartphone I've ever own!

I hate how some people nit pick. I got my phone yesterday. The phone doesn't feel sharp at all. I used it for like 12 hours straight. Battery life is really good. And im a righty and had no problems wht so ever with my palm activating the edge side of the screen. It's a great phone. I used to be an iPhone lover till I got the s5 but I've fallen in love with galaxy's even more thanks to the note edge.
Anyway, your review was great. I've watched other reviews where the conclusion is "Samsung provides split screen multitasking, so it's better".

This vid seemed to underplay the Note Edge.. that curved edge is a compelling tactile experience.. u just want to keep stroking it.. and it s alot more useful that this guy makes out.. just having all the camera controls on the edge gives u a proper point and click camera experience... the night clock is a great touch..and having apps interacted with on the edge free s up the main screen etc..... and personally when u see the iphone6+ for real it kinda looks cheap and that body is so slippery.. it just feels like it s going to drop at any moment. The Note Edge is also a proper one handed phone as u can minimise the whole screen so it s reachable.. where as the iphone just drops down the top part so u still can't reach the other side. Personally i think the Note Edge just looks cooler and it s a proper phablet.. the iphone is just a bigger iphone with no extra PC like abilities.

I don't know why he did you can charge the galaxy note edge for 10 minitues and it lasts for four hours iPhone does not 10 minitues charge will get you low battery in 20 minitues iPhone is too advanced for there battery packs.
I really like the note edge but I feel like I'm stuck getting the iPhone because all of the apps I want are there and I know how to use it. This is why people who get iPhones once usually continue to get them, for the specific apps only on iOS you need, you will want an iPhone. I'm get to get a new phone next year, and I can't choose which one. Can someone help? I want one that's easy to use and has snapchat, facebook and instagram. Or are there any other good phones that I could get that has something making them unique. Thanks for the help.

I just got my Note Edge, 2 days ago and it is just amazing; it is funny how many of my friends with IPhone 6 and IPhone 6 Plus; mentioned how cool is my new phone. My last phone was the LG G3 which it was good but I am feeling a huge difference in quality and refinement; the Note Edge it is way way superior. My only issue is the battery; there is an activity that is draining the battery.

I am not a heavy user so I usually finish the day with more than 50%; but I have noticed that when I am using the phone for projects and I am using the S pen Scrapbook and Internet at the same time constantly; the battery will last just over 3 hours; but the Fast charge mode is amazing. Most of the time I wait until I am home to do my projects and really heavy use; I must say I have a PC, a Nexus 9 and for some things my Note Edge is much more efficient and practical that any of those 2. Even with the just average Battery I highly recommend the Note Edge.
do you set it on power saving mode? samsung have 2 power saving mode the normal and ultra. set it on the normal power saving mode. the battery could last for a long time. leinadem2
may be you are on 4g network mate, its drains more power, i always turn the 4g off for normal net surfing, it works amazing at 3g too, and you get a bit more juice outta battery if you use 3g instead of 4g. and use power saving mode if you are not playing games or doing any heavy work on phone
its a 3000 ma battery. I have it as well. I came from using the s5. Far better battery life than the edge. Your only solution is a monster power card or Mophie juice pack. Thats just the way it is. Kinda like how the note edge automatically goes to 1x during a phone call....making being online impossible during a phone call (unless you are on wifi). But I can overlook both of those. Because I have the best phone on the planet. ;)
Definitely going to try get the Note Edge or S6 Edge. It will be interesting to see how Samsung's curved screens evolve.

Im watching this video on a note edge that i just picked up today. Im so glad I didnt stay with apple. I have been with apple ever since the Iphone 3 and Im very disappointed that the changes they make every year are extremely minor. I love my new note edge
One thing is you took the price into account but the $300 for the iphone is just the 16gb, it would cost another $100 for it to be bumped to 64gb (u said 46 in the vid lol). At $400 the note edge has 32gb and a microsd slot, I picked up a 64gb samsung evo class 10 micro sd at walmart price matched to amazon for $25.

to be honest, Apple doesn't really innovate, especially past the Wozniak age. Since then, though I can't speak for the time before he left, Apple has purely been what is really just a recipe company. They decided that a whole bunch of existing things were good, made them a little bit better looking (They're not always prettier, but usually are) and put them into their new product. Apple has been exceptionally successful with this recipe company business. They're not innovators, they're cooks!
Jobs was like Gates, he hired people who knew what they were doing and took all the credit. He even tried to screw Wozniak out of a huge load of shares when they wanted to fire him. Wozniak was too nice of a guy and obviously didn't see that he was being railroaded. Woz built the Apple I computer not Steve.

Yeah the OIS on the iPhone 6 Plus is not that great, it is pretty wobbly compared to other phones even an older Blackberry Z10 has better image stabilization.

Actually if you read what I wrote, it was the 6 Plus that had terrible OIS compared to other models I have seen. Hell even the Blackberry Passport has awesome OIS and it auto focuses a hell of a lot better then others I have seen.

If Apple would be coming with an edge iPhone then, the reviewers would all praise the edge functionality but when Samsung does something different, then we all need to question ourselves if it is really innovative and useful. Stupid biased reviewers all around the world. In my opinion, the iPhone has lost its innovation and wow factor long time ago.
How are they biased? I could say the same that if a samsung had a plastic antenna band, (like the 6) they would all shrug it off.

Negative, my comment only indicates my opinion. I don't speak for Apple nor it's fans. Note (pun intended) that I am typing this from a Note II. I decided to check out Android going from an iPhone 4. The notes are fine phones but I never find myself using any of the "many features" that IOS lacks like split screen multitasking, giant widgets, or the stylus. Also found that I arranged it to a grid pattern like my iPhone had but it feels somewhat awkward to me on Android. The Note 4 is cool but the edge? Eh. I'd prefer Apple's continuity than Samsung's rounded screen edge as far as innovations go, I like that direction better.
And thusly I will be picking up the 6+ shortly.
Great review, but everyone seems to miss out phones resale value. I switched from iPhone to Note 3 a few years ago, and I have to admit, the Note 3 out performs my iPhone 5 and my wife's ip6 hands down. The problem comes with resale, when you want to upgrade your phone, you (like me) will find your Samsung is worth fuck all. So keep in mind, when you buy high end Samsung, you'll have to keep it for 3 years to get your money out of it.

The Galaxy Note Edge bitch slaps any silly iphone 6plus so easily it's comical. PhoneArena has always been fools who cow tow to Apple.
That's one weird green tint that the iPhone has in comparison to the Note Edge (During the presentation of that movie, the one with the monsters). Whether or not he biases towards one or another isn't my call, and I wasn't especially looking for it. All I can say is, between about 6:00 and 6:30, there's a notable difference (Given to the Edge's advantage) wherein the Edge has about a 1 or 1.5 second lead over the 6 Plus in loading that game he was showing. In this 30 or so seconds, he's talking about how the iPhone outperformed the Edge in benchmark tests. So yeah, I'd say he favors the iPhone. Though, again, not really my decision to make.

The iPhone 6 Plus is the best iPhone on the market right now, if you like the big screen. iOS has lovers and haters, you usually belong to one camp or the other or haven't picked a side yet. The Note Edge is certainly one of the most feature-heavy Android phones on the market, and if that's what you want (I personally aim to get the most capable phone in the Android market, and this could be it) then this is what you should get, in my opinion. But it's a different story for everyone.

You can't compare 16 with 8 mp cameras, you can't compare a full hd super AMOLED edge screen with a ips lcd screen. OMG.
The Note Edge speaker has more bass than the iphones.. but the iphone has more vocals clarity so it depends on the kind of music u listen to... u can put an screen off switch app on the edge of the note so no need to reach for the top to press the button. Also u can put volume controls on the edge which make those controls much better for one handed use as does the whole edge screen and new edge screens are being added all the time. It also feels fine in the hand the u get used to the edge.
I think note edge got a customiseable equaliser you can fiddle with in the stock music app

Oh my gosh Samsung, what are you doing... I am right handed and hold my phones in one hand, I'd be covering up the curved screen edge. Design placement was not thought through, the UI is buggy, it's just a mess. I'll stick with the regular Note line.
You can rotate the screen if you are left handed. In fact one left handed reviewer argued that it probably works better for her than for right handed people
What is failed to be mentioned in all these vs's between apple n samsung is the fact that samsung is more water resistant, and samsung is like 3 generations into smartwatches! Meanwhile apple is yet to drop one..

Wouldn't you think that the iPhone 6 would have better battery life? Simpler os, less powerful cpu, less resolution screen and also the screen is lcd? Which is not a very power hungry screen. Well shouldn't be anyways. I mean even with the slightly smaller battery, the battery life should've been one of the few things better than the edge. I don't like Apple products, but I thought iPhone 6 would've won on battery life. Oh well. Another point to Samsung. Lol

Having both phones, specs on the paper might look impressive for Samsung, but hardware is useless if operating on inferior OS. iPhone's OS is superior to Samsung, thus making iPhone quicker and more stable. Comparing apples to apples, iPhone opens apps quicker, especially camera. Yes it does have less features, but it's streamlined for speed and stability. Apple takes different approach than Samsung, putting more emphasis on OS, and less on hardware.

When you look at a phone spec wise of coarse the note or any other phone are gonna have better specs than the iPhone or so it seems on paper! I listen and read all your comments on the fact the note has better features over the iPhone yet the iPhone still out performs in a lot of the reviews! Note has this so called best on the market snap dragon 805 quad core processor at 2.7 ghz or 2.5ghz with 3gb of ram yet the iPhone is only rocking a dual core 1.4 ghz processor with only 1 go of ram and can still keep up if not out perform the snap dragon! The note has double the megapixel count when it comes to the camera yet the iPhone is still the better camera and always will be that's what the iPhone is basically designed around! You can trash talk me for liking iPhone when the truth is I like both phones for different reasons android allows customizability as the iPhone does not unless jailbroken, the note has the s pen iPhone did not! The point I'm getting at is you all are looking at these phones from a specs point of view instead of a user point of view iPhones are easier to use and everything today is basically built to work with them! Androids are basically a computer in your hand they offer more abilities as far as downloading files from the browser to expanding memory but if your gonna complain about performance and specs I got news for you benchmarks don't lie they both perform the same and when it comes down to it its a personal preference not a specs chart because let's face it the legendary 805 can't even out perform an apple A8 dual core.....And no I'm not a ifaggot or ifanboy like I said I like them both! Yep, most Mac users buy a Mac because they do not have to learn anything except how to move a mouse. Those of us who grew up when PCs were made had to learn DOS and how to do commands on a C prompt and actually use our brain cells. We took programming in school on Apple IIe's and enjoyed making our own games. You try to teach someone how easy it is to build your own PC and that all you need to know is how to use a screwdriver they look at you like you come from the planet Mars. They love Star Trek movies but when you try to teach them about the physics of things watch their head explode like Skittles candy, taste the rainbow.

i just got the iphone 6+ saturday coming from a note 3 and i must say i cant wait to take this piece of shit back and get the note 4 or edge!! i was out of my mind for even giving icrap a try??!! crapple users are full of shit on how they act like iphones run perfect!!
