I have a Craftsman table saw from 1947 that works very much the same way. Thanks for sharing. Scott

Interesting how far this has come. I still remember your earlier videos and I was thinking to myself, "What is he doing?" When it all got together and the saw was the part that moved I was complete surprised.

Really interesting idea to reverse the movement of the wood and the saw : it's impossible to the wood to move, so it's also impossible to have a wobbling kerf and the cut can be only perfectly right. Congratulations you're a woodgenious👌👍🖖

Your mitre gauge/protractor set up on your saw is superb.

That is an amazing setup! Expensive though, in time and material. I hope it serves you worthwhile.
Anyway, maybe you could consider working as a designer at Festool. You have proven to be very innovative these last years.

Outstanding table saw solution. You should have patented it. Based on your videos I would not be surprised to see off-the-shelf products based on your concept. Congratulation for your sense of innovation. Regards from freezing Switzerland

I love how you are always re-thinking how work is done! One nice feature of a "standard" table saw is that the fence can be used to set the dimension of your cut, which means you can do repeatable cuts a little easier. Have you thought of ways to incorporate a ruler or allow repeatable cuts? Cheers!

A sliding miter saw, but in reverse! Whodathunkitt!!
Now that I think about it, My miter saw rarely sees any use and I don't yet own a table saw. Maybe a good idea to simply mod the miter saw instead of going to the trouble of using a circular saw to make a table saw.
In any case, Wonderful idea, superb implementation!

Cool. It’s tough to make a video of a saw making cuts, right? The point of a good saw is that it makes them fast. But a fast cut means a 20 second video. I think you did a good job stretching it out while also giving tone for the viewer to get that ah-ha I see where I need this.

Your skill level is outstanding in making this.
However I am totally confused about its usefulness. I have a sliding table saw, which does all that yours does, but is FAR easier for ripping lengths, unless we have not yet seen an easy way that this is achieved with yours?
I thought that you were making a portable version of a Felder type saw, a more rigid version of your systainer saw, which I thought 'wow, how useful', but this, I'm not so sure....
As I said though, blown away by the quality in manufacturing- especially that protractor.

We have a saw with a similar philosophy in metalworking called the Marvel Vertical Band Saw, where the work stays still and the saw is what moves.

Be nice to incorporate a bit of Festool track splinter guard along the static edge - stop all that chip out. Really like this setup - but I can only afford the one TS55 :-))

Mirock, very nice setup. What is the small fence on the saw side for (that runs parallel to the blade)? It seems to limit the length of cut-off you can have.
