It needs to be made clear, if you're here illegally, and you are forced to be removed from the US, your chances for legally becoming a US citizen will be next to impossible. Leaving on your own increases your chances greatly.
What about the millions of peaceful undocumented immigrants who work in huge numbers within agriculture, industry, etc. They pay taxes and social security. The smackdown on the economy will be awful. The expensive, like 88 billion per year, hurts, too. I think he should focus on criminals, those who have committed crimes while in US.
They may pay taxes but when it comes to employment employers don’t have to abide by any of the laws or protections they regularly would have to for American citizens or documented immigrants and a lot of employers take advantage of that fact, why shouldn’t we change it so our economy isn’t built on employers getting away with breaking laws

And, they want the jobs and the lives they have here. I'm afraid neither Trump nor most Americans remotely realize the effect on the economy and worse the immigrants, many of whom have lived here decades.
@ then we should address citizens not wanting to engage in those jobs instead of backfilling them with undocumented workers, when the justification to allow illegal immigration is that stuff is going to be more expensive or the economy will be negatively impacted it just emboldens the cartels to keep up smuggling operations and emboldens employers to keep hiring undocumented workers at reduced rates keeping wages low for the rest of us
Just because we aren't obliged to have refugees here (oh wait, yes we are!) doesn't mean that we can't. What's needed are more lawyers and judges for dealing with all of these refugees' cases. I do think that every country in Central America needs to create their own Sanctuary Cities, and we need more of those here along the southern border. Also know that it's because we aren't using Fair Trade Policies that these human beings are being forced to leave their homelands in the first place. Literally, NAFTA is causing this problem. These refugees are quite seriously the chicken coming home to roost. We created this problem and we won't ever get it solved unless we change the F in NAFTA from "Free" to "Fair." This whole damned thing is actually our own stupid fault.
If illegal migrants who violated border trespass law goes across state lines and settle in a city, that should make their traveling act a federal law violation, not under local law in Chicago, New York, Colorado, CA, Arizona.😢 this is just my opinion.😢
