the coziness this song has makes me think the other customers in the shop are patiently waiting for you to finish your battle so they can buy something.
"just a minute!" the shopkeeper shouts as they whack you with their staff, sending you flying above a customer and into the wall. "i'll be right with you!"

in this context, it was like the shopkeeper just dropped the mic and wiped out half of your healthbar XD
OH JFIDIDJDIDJ THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE
If you grab a sample from the desk, loiter in the corner of the magazine stand, check it fifty times, then leave without buying anything, the shopkeeper will suddenly jump over the counter and start the fight. You’re going to have to take him out quickly and efficiently because he’s got the entire potion stock with him, and once he hits the danger threshold of 10% he’ll bust out the Elixirs he won’t sell to you and immediately heal everything off. Targeting the nearby snack stands can be a strategy, but it all depends on if the free turn is worth the massive ATK boost he gets, so make sure you bring your debuffer.

you're gonna need to tank a lot of the attacks, if you're doing a no potion run you're screwed unfortunately
Love how it begins like normal shopkeeper music to lure you into a false sense of security before the breakcore drums kick in
Also love the way the dynamics and texture of the song keep changing, keeps me on my toes
LMAO yeah i sort of think of it being normal in the shop and then you try to run away with a £0.99 item and get dropkicked by the breakcore drums

@@kettlemugyes they are the background fellows, they pop into view when they are noticed by characters because they really aren’t noticed enough
(Imagine it like this: music guys behind the camera that shows what’s happening. “hey musical mfs” and a guy holding a guitar pops into view from the corner)

i heard some wealthier shopkeepers keep one around just in case something unholy enters their shop. It also works as a great deterrent for troublemakers, apparently.

In this encounter, the player has placated the shopkeeper by paying the full price after bartering one too many times. But when the player selects the next item, he spams the "Barter" button again out of habit, triggering the second phase of the fight.

The shopkeeper's shop got destroyed last time so he had to rebuild it, changing the atmosphere a bit. Thats why the music is different. But he hired more people to do the bgm lol.

I like to imagine in this hypothetical shopkeeper boss, they use the items you sold to them against you.
1: Those 800 dry Soda cans worth $0.05 each? Good luck dodging them in a bullet-hell like pattern.
2: Those Broken Knives you found in an abandoned kitchen? Good luck dodging them, the shopkeeper replenished them which allow for a higher chance of Bleed.
