    I know Richlite fretboards are made in a more enviromentally friendly way, but is that the same case with stainless steel frets? got confused for a minute

    • @EricMorettin
      @EricMorettin  8 месяцев назад +1

      Stainless steel frets never wear out, which turns into not needing a refret down the road.

      @@EricMorettin always liked stainless steel frets, have them on my main guitar, but never thought of the enviromental benifits of them! Thanks so much for enlightening me :)

      @@Mr.Goldbar you're welcome! It's the principle of never having to replace the big wear parts on the guitar, thus using less resources over the lifespan of the guitar.

      @@EricMorettin I always saw it over the years as a more so a monetary benifit of saving money on fretjobs and refrets, now whenever I'll recommend stainless steel frets I'll spread the word about the enviromental benifit :)

    Not a fan of those guitars but the pickups sing! I noticed you use lemon oil on the fretboard,im in a facebook group and someone posted about lemon oil vs f1 oil and alot of people said lemon oil has acid in it(obviously lol) that will dry out rosewood over time,i had some f1 oil in my guitar tool box and decided to use it on the ibanez and they were right,less time reconditioning the fretboard and more freetime to jam

      Lemon oil is just mineral oil and coloring and an aroma. There is no acid in it. It is NOT made from actual lemons.

      @FilinMXr 8 месяцев назад +1

      "Lemon oil" products marketed toward guitarists are not actually made from lemons. It's usually just a scented mineral oil, sometimes with a bit of solvent added to help clean off dirt from the fretboard.
