Cool video. Imo, Bob Brown is the best armwrestling interview there is. He can talk history, technique, give advice..etc....Plus, he is entertaining and passionate about his sport. You made a good call by having him on.
The thing not known about the arm wrestling world is that these guys are actually real people who have gone through real life experiences. I interact with some of these guys and its just an absolutely amazing experience to have that emotional connection with some of them. Toddzilla, Mike, John and even Sarah Backman are really interactive and as a amateur arm wrestler it means so much to me to not only know my heroes exist but they are willing to talk to you as well. It means the world.
I think what Bob described according to Johns training is called 'motor units recruitment' , which improves contractile strenght. Great histories of two of the gratest arm wrestling... I wish they pull against each other soon and since Todd is working on his top roll... scary
The thing with strength training in a gym is that you can’t stop it for a year) We lose 30% of muscle ability in 3 weeks of full inactivity, our body is entropy fan)
I've wondered about this. John takes two weeks rest before a match, in which he heals and thereby gets stronger. Can that 3rd week really cause a sudden change from growth to loss? Maybe it also depends on for how long and early you started building muscle.
@@LeahRobb It depends how broken down you are, there are powerlifters who hit their prs week before competition, so that they in their pick form and on competition day they try to go over pr results
@@yuriimakarov4832 I don't think I saw this reply 8 months ago. What do you mean by 'broken down'? If you are injured, you obviously have to heal up and restart. If your muscles have just been put under a lot of stress and need to heal, I guess a break of a couple of weeks might be needed for them to turn the tears into bigger muscles... Anyway, I like the sound of John's training. It does sound like he is getting a heck of a workout this way.
Stop. He was referring to when he faced Hutchins a few years ago. He said nothing about beating him now--Devon is a whole different arm wrestler as a super heavy weight.
@@Brian_Saginashvili_ he is, I would even go further and say that Todd didn't lose to Devon because his toproll was weak, he "lost" because they pulled in WAL event and not actual sports event
@@TheAwakez You make no sense AT ALL!!!! 😅 he lost ! In the record books, Toddzilla who is my Goat, Lost to Larratt. And right now? Devon would smash Todd as well lol. Wal event was a sanctioned event!!!? What do you mean?? Do you know what you're talking about?
@@billbally4419 in a match ? No..unless you're talking about the most recent one..he got a round off John the 1st time when John had been pulling all day, open category and lefty too..John beat him every time after that
Yes Bob Todd would have beaten Devon and Jerry and on and on....well it's all could have should have but didn't...AND can't...by your theory if I did the right thing and all the stars lined up and the earth tilted in my favor I'd beat Levan easy...your dislike for Devon is so obvious and so childish...Todd will never at his very best beat Devon or Jerry or Dave period!!...get over it dude.

Great video , thank you ! You can listen to Bob Brown talking for hours !
``We were about half way through a bottle of whiskey``...sounds like how I train!
Awesome story. So much depth to it. I could really picture everything. So cool.
Priceless 🙂
Amazing video boys

I believe both Todd and John are right go figure 😁☝️💪❤️

Usually you can rebuild relatively quickly though. At least faster than the first time you were building up your strength
It's closer to 10% at 3 weeks

When you add more thsn 100 yrs of aw experience in 1 video miniature
Bob brown should have an aw knighthood
Bob still keeping the lebbing webbel.
Starting your vids with a teaser rather than the intro would flow better for this type of content.
Hutchings said he couldn’t do anything win Devon right now. You can really tell how much bob brown hates Devon. He will never let that go.

Todd has never beaten John..so, it's hard to argue with the results
Not true. He has beaten John

Hes so salty its not even funny
Current Zilla can best Jerry with pal/waf rules/pads.
I think Todd has a chance with Jerry, not the other 2 though.
