Jordan, I’ve been using a ketogenic diet for about a week now and have noticed improvements in my dpdr.

I have and do experience both DP/DR. For me, my vision literally goes out of focus. It sounds like the teachers and adults “wah wah wah!” from Charlie Brown, my eyes get super sensitive to light and sounds that are loud and close to me make me jump, but in a delayed manner because it’s like I’m hearing through a long tunnel and it takes a moment for the sound to reach me.
I can’t always feel when I need to use the restroom, or when I’m hungry, thirsty, or too hot/cold, nor can I tell how fatigued I’m getting in my body.
All my sensory input either gets super heightened and I will get easily overwhelmed, or it all shuts down so severely I’m almost catatonic at times.
I’ve struggled to speak at all because my voice box doesn’t feel like mine and I couldn’t control the mechanisms to make my voice come out at all, or sometimes I couldn’t properly control the volume and would be talking in a tiny voice (more frequently in my experience), or occasionally I’d shout and then flinch at the loudness and harshness of my own voice.

Jordan thank you for these videos. And thank you for coming out and saying what your faith was! That helped me so much and I would really love to hear how we could use Christianity to get out of this state of Dpdr.

My own thoughts are triggering. My cognition, memory, imagination, and ability to conceptualize are all severely impaired. Whenever I do think about my state, it feels incredibly bizarre and unfamiliar and triggers more depersonalization. I forget at all times that I exist, and when I am reminded that I do, it's terrifying.

Okay I think I didn’t have these levels of DP/DR. But I think I had mild DR in my youth maybe 2 or 3 times. I was laying in bed in my familiar childhood room, yet it felt strange dreamlike. I also felt like my soul was maybe 3cm behind my eyes not like usual where one is observing directly with the eyes, if that makes sense. Sorry English isn’t my first language and I may find better words in german. Yet it wasn’t as scary as seen in the video. Kinda k Hole like lol
