Beside One UI , I love COLOR OS by oppo. I used FIND X2 pro for a year and I was into color OS. Reno Series by OPPO is mid range flagship which looks and feel like flagship. Reno 8 pro is the great example of that. Thank you floss for amazing video.
It's the design language of the S21 series lmao. Even the camera placement is exactly S21 Ultra but without the pericope camera. Honestly it looks hideous to me.

The contour shape camera module and the camera placements are obvious. Design is subjective so I don't have to like it just because you do.

Just watched your oppo find x5 pro and honestly think I'll trade my galaxy s21 ultra for that beastly phone, I'm from Ireland we only get the exynos chipset of Samsung phones it sucks. Definitely think I'll get the oppo since it's snapdragon 👌
Or you can get the Oppo Find X5 Pro with the Dimensity 9000 chipset by MediaTek! It’s the only chip that was on par with the Bionic A15. It beat the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in most tests, including GeekBench 5 and Antutu. MediaTek is really giving Qualcomm a run for their money now that they went with TSMC. Which is the manufacturer that makes Apple’s chipset’s. Ironically, Qualcomm went with TSMC for the new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 lol. Edit: Or you can simply wait for the new Oppo Find X Phone with the newer Dimensity chip. Whether it’s the Dimensity 9000+ or 10,000.
I love how you check every feature 3 or 4 times, especially fingerprint sensors and face unlock. Probably the only reviews here that are not just a commercial, one does not need anything else before buying a device !

Lack of wireless charging would be a deal breaker for me. Also, lack of an IP rating doesn't necessarily mean the device isn't water resistant. What it means is that the manufacturer didn't pay to have their device tested at an ingress protection lab. OEM's put the necessary seals on/in the device and do their own testing. It saves money to not get the phone tested at an ingress protection lab. I wish more people understood this.
People DO know that, but ain't nobody taking the companies word, we want the industry standards.. You think if the companies were that confident in their testing, why wouldn't they mention "it passed our water resistance testing" They're not mentioning it because they don't wanna be responsible for water damage. People want peace of mind when they're spending money.

There's nothing wrong with people wanting peace of mind. I just think it's important that people understand every angle of it.

Hey Floss, if you see this I have been watching you for a long time. on a day to day do you use an iphone and ecosystem? Or do you use what is the best for you at the time? Only asking as I have windows pc and mac and iphone and android. I prefer android phones but mac over windows now.
I respect your stance on midrange phones, but I’m tired of paying $1000 - $1800 for devices that fit into my pocket. These devices are costing as much as good laptops and computers so I changing my spending habits on cell phones. As for wireless charging, I’ll use one of the wireless charging options Shane Craig uses for his Surface Duo 2 to add it.

I am speaking for and to myself, this phone is awesome but after all of this awesomeness it comes down to OS for me and Samsung good- lock is a must have. My Samsung galaxy Z fold 3 looks so futuristic, any up-to-date Samsung devices can rock good- lock
yep. Goodlock is the only thing that makes OneUI. But it's absent on most of the samsung phones, only the flagship ones have it. I doubt that most people have even heard the name of Goodlock or knows how to side load it on their phones

On lite version a lot of things are stripped off. like with Find X5 lite(reno 7 pro) there was no wireless charging, no hassleblad, no Marisilicon X, but this time all the Find X6 phones are gonna have Marisilicon X packed into them, Reno 8 pro is just setting that

Floss I've been watching your latest videos for the past 2 weeks trying to make a decision on a new phone upgrade but I'm having trouble figuring out which phone will work at its full capacity on Metro PCS network. Can you help me out? My options are the Redmi k50, Vivo Iqoo 9t, Real me gt, Samsung s22 ultra, pogo f4, red magic 7, black shark 5 pro & the reno 8 pro! What do you recommend? I'm having a hard time. I went in to the metro store and the best phone they have to offer is a s21 FE for $750 bucks. I wasn't convinced.

I do get what you're saying and I love the back of that phone as well but if I can make a counter argument there's one reason why I think people may not like this particular style - say something happens to your camera's glass and it breaks or it cracks somehow, if the glass on the back is not seamless it is probably going to be a lot cheaper for you to replace just the glass that covers the camera versus needing to replace the entire back glass of the phone now because it's all one piece🤷♂️🤔 In the real world it looks absolutely beautiful, On paper - it's a tiny cash grab for repairs. When people usually crack their front screen they tried not to worry about it as much they deal with it they put a screen protector over at the try to prevent it from cracking more... they will suffice however when somebody's back camera glass breaks you're almost instantaneously going and getting it repaired because that back camera is where it's at. Other than that I am in agreeance with you that it's a beautiful phone I just feel that there are too many people taking the iPhone look instead of coming up with something unique to themselves. Makes me miss HTC sometimes... Phones today are just like the cars of today they all kind of pretty much are trying to look like just one car they really don't have the individuality like they used to say back in the 50 60s and 70s

None of the other brand gives IR blaster on their phone because it's completely useless Nowadays. For some days the people fumble with the IR blaster and then they completely forget that it is there on the phone, so why shall a brand waste their money on giving a already dead thing??
Actually the phone is IP 54 rated. On some websites they skip this detail. Reno Series and Find X series are always IP rated. Same as Vivo's V and X series or Samsung's A, S and Z series.

Thie new (2022) Mediatek dimensity 8100 is incredible. It's going to be showing up in a lot more phones. If Oppo is using it then it's legit. For gaming its one of a very few chipsets that can perform at a high level and not require a fan to manage heat and throttling. 3rd party sellers are already marking up the price of this phone. I want one.
It would be dope if it was all uniform. The one piece of glass is hot, but the camera bump takes away from it. Just make it uniform and you can have a bigger battery, ir blaster, micro SD card slot or whatever.

This is my favorite phone design of the year no doubts, the ultimate evolution of the s21 ultra design.
I'm annoyed they've used the design on a phone without wireless charging. That could have been their flagship phone. It looks stunning

Thie new (2022) Mediatek dimensity 8100 is incredible. It's going to be showing up in a lot more phones. If Oppo is using it then it's legit. For gaming its one of a very few chipsets that can perform at a high level and not require a fan to manage heat and throttling. 3rd party sellers are already marking up the price of this phone. I want one.
How does the oppo reno8 pro hold up against the xiaomi 12t pro?
It would be dope if it was all uniform. The one piece of glass is hot, but the camera bump takes away from it. Just make it uniform and you can have a bigger battery, ir blaster, micro SD card slot or whatever.

Sounds Pro this phone. Better than pixel 6a simply as it has high refresh rate which the pixel doesn't have. Then there's the nothing phone. But it's smaller. I'm liking the look of the Reno to be fair. Another great vid floss
