How do you select you backup device? I need to use drive E:\ as my backup device, but for some reason it is going to drive D:\ which is the recovery partition for my computer.

My adapter didn't recognize my Colorful SSD SL500 (256 GB,), but it recognized other HDD 2.5" SATA. Could you please help me to solve this?
I did try other cables/ usb ports but nothing worked (these cables and usb ports still work will). I think there may be a problem with the driver. However, I cannot find any suitable driver for this SSD (even from its manufacturer). My system is win 10 64bit, ver 1806 Dell inspiron 3443 (core i7, ram 4G). I installed 1 SSD and HDD (in caddy bay), they are running well at the same time. My Colorful SSD SL500 (256 GB) is the new one, I tried with an external HDD box (2.0 cable), and this SSD worked, my system still recognized it. I don't have the 3rd SSD to tried.
I've connected everything as shown in the video above and I'm getting a "please insert a disk into USB drive (D)" message?
When I click on the files under users I am getting a message that I do not have access. I click continue to get access but nothing ever happens...
Windows 10 does not recognize my device for some reason, however windows 7 does.. What a pain. I'll have to do a bit of troubleshooting/tinkering around to get this operational.
It's a plug and play device which should work without any drivers. There are some issues with your Windows 10.

I was told to purchase one of these to see if my hard drive is bad or not, so i did. Will this item tell you if its bad or not? I am a novice when it comes to diagnosing problems.
The one I ordered is a Unitek but looks the same and mine did not come with any type of users manual only a disk
@@qryche1967 You need a software to check the drive, something like HDtune. It can check the surface of your hard drive and show information of HDD's SMART. SMART has all the information about your drive including its health status. www.hdtune.com/

Try to right-click it and select Run as Administrator. If it works, then go to the properties of the shortcut, click Advanced and check the box Run as Administrator.

Mine works great..one HD is asking me to format...Ntfs or fat32, should i do this and which should i choose..i have no idea whats on drive
NTFS is the most reliable file system. If you format your drive it will wipe all your data!

Unfortunately, there's only one SATA port, so you can't connect two SATA drives.

At 3:30 under Options and About buttons you can select your backup device drive.
