Some viewers may be interested in some previous videos about Land Rovers. They're at my previous channel, Riverport Rovers.

Here is the build series about my truck. A rather modified Series II Land Rover.

I rather silly build and road trip to the famous Land Rover Winter Romp in Maine.

A slightly less silly road trip to Cape Breton that does involve painting flames on a Land Rover.

The series that started it all. A crazy plan to build a Land Rover in one day from assorted bits lying around.

There's a few other videos that might be of interest at Riverport Rovers including the beginning of a Boler trailer refit.

Thanks for posting and sharing. Very glad to hear that you’re feeling better.
I am excited for more refit on MV Geordie. Thats why i tuned into this channel.
Glad you're recovering! If you haven't Recovered already, I hope you RECOVER soon. :)
Sounds more like “Geordie” is about to be recovered with a new roof and sides. It’s somewhat amazing what a shiny coat of varnish can conceal ! Another week of rest and I hope your back to feeling tippy toppy ! Keys to enjoying Princes Louisa Inlet are bright Sunny day after you are through the S turn entrance at slack ,throttle back to Five MPH ignore the American boats that surge past you at 15 knots all desperate to get a space on the dock. Play Pavarotti loudly and enjoy a semi religious experience.anchor around the corner from the dingy dock in 95 feet of water and tie off to the ring bolts provided.Fresh glacial water available for the collecting from a nearby waterfall .
glad you have recovered
Exciting Itinerary! Looking forward to all excursions. Get Well Soon🫵🏼
Hi Peter: Re: covid- take your time. This bug is nasty and takes a big bite out of us. Just be sure that you don't overdo it. Princess Louisa-absolutely! As to mahogany cabinsides, I like the sound of a Lohman Sails full boat cover for the winter. Cheaper in the long run than a boathouse? Cheers, Doctor MIke.
Congrats to Tim for his initiation stay on Poem! Such a good idea. Hope you finish your recovery and feel up to par very soon. I hear a slow start into normal activity is advised.
Very glad to hear you have recovered! I live in a nursing home and I have had it 4 times.
Great that you've recovered. I know it hit me hard when I got it!
So glad you are on the mend!
So glad to hear that you're recovering. I hope e this finds you well and I look forward to those 360 cruising videos you mentioned on the live stream a while back.
Port Towns BETTER accept you after the work you've contributed to their backbone of the community.. wooden boat restoration!!
Heh, fingers crossed
Excellent program!
The cabin project sounds like fun. Yeah, it seems daunting at first, but once you get started it won't be all that bad. It took me 5 weeks to completely rebuild the cabin on m/v Tortuga. The "mahogany" available here was African Mahogany, which is nice to work. I do have a couple of suggestions. 1). Do stain the wood with a quality stain so it will stay "red" and not turn yellow. I used Pettit Dark Mahogany filler stain and it still looked great after 8 years when I sold the boat. 2) I would suggest glassing the cabin tops rather than canvasing them. It is actually rather hard to find suitable canvas in large enough sheets and glass over plywood simply won't leak. Yeah the purists will blanche when they see you glassing the cabin tops, but I assure you, the people who built the boat back in the day would have happily used epoxy and glass had it been available then. I would use 10 oz glass cloth and epoxy. I look forward to seeing your yard period and the work on Geordie in the shed. I am also really looking forward to seeing your cruise up the BC coast and the San Juans. I have cruised the San Juans, but last did it on my own boat nearly 50 years ago. My more recent cruises were done on the peoples yacht (Washington State Ferry).
So glad you are on the road to recovery!
✌️❤️🙏
Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery!
Hello Peter and glad to see you are recovered/recovering ☺️
Thanks for the itinerary for the next few months.
Your cruising has energized my wife and I and we are planning on heading north from San Diego to do some cruising around the San Juan islands with family who live in Seattle and then head over to Victoria and then possibly up to Nanaimo. That's what we have planned so far.
We may possibly be in your area around the time you may be heading out on your trips.
Would love to tag along or meet up from time to time during yours and our cruising.
We will be in no hurry as we will be up there for a couple of months before heading south.
Always love the episodes and look forward to seeing them every week no matter what the topic.
Sounds like a fantastic plan Peter! See you in a couple of weeks!
looking forward to all your future plans I'm sure it all work out and turn out just fine. Then you'll be able to enjoy both cruisers for many many years to come. cheers. btw
Glad to hear you're feeling better there Peter.
I for one am glad you recovered Peter. Cheers! 🍻
I am glad you are looking well and hopefully fully recovered .
It's great to hear you are doing the right thing for Tim. It seemed like he recovered nicely in the last episode. Feel better and better.
I was super glad to hear that you'll be recovering some of the Honduran mahogany when you replace the topsides of Geordie. Cheers!
That's the plan!
Peter, I watch this 13 hours after release. Roughly a third of your subscribers have seen it now, with just you talking. Thats really good I think. There are lots of channels with over a million subs who reach a tenth watching in months. Wanna save you the costs of shipping to The Netherlands, so no word of the week here, I just wish you more followers!
Recovering health, plans for refurbishing, and a recorded walking tour of Victoria's waterfront! What great content, even without the sanding and staining. I'm just envious of all the green; still deep in snow here in Whitehorse.... hmmmmm... maybe I should book a floating holiday down South? Cheers.
Great that you've recovered and that covid was not too hard on you. Nice ideas on the summer and nice that you have the boat shed, so really, use it.
The c o v i d really takes its toll on your strength. I've had it three times. The first was the worst. It was the original strain. I still have not fully recovered from the original one.
Done, Tim. I dare others to meet my 100 bucks. So great
Very happy to hear you have (for the most part) recovered from your recent illness. What I learned this week- I got to hear of all your plans for the upcoming 6 months or so.
Crowdfunding for the haulout? They are interesting videos.
Cheers to your recovery... Glad to see your feeling better Peter!
Spent the day in bed myself feeling a bit under the weather… waiting for this episode to come out. Glad to see you are largely recovered, and you have a plan for the recovery of Geordie before it gets too far gone!
I’m so glad you are recovering, please don’t push yourself and you will be back to normal. I bet it is pretty hard to stop that head… 😜
I think I bought that valve for you. I assumed that my name would be apparent from the Amazon purchase. Glad to contribute in a small way. Glad you are feeling well.
Very happy you are feeling better Peter and thanks for this informative episode.
Wishing you a fast and full recovery. Too bad you can't get new Honduras Mahogany. I know it is very expensive. I have faith that the new cabins will look remarkable never the less.
When you're recovered, you might want to check out Faculty Brewing in Vancouver. Their 898 Imperial Cookie Stout is in my opinion, well into the top 5 best stouts I have encountered. Caution: it is a desert style stout, definitely not my ideal, but very well done. Excellent with a shot of single malt, if you happen to come equipped with Scottish genes.
So glad you're feeling better and have recovered!! Love the stay on Poem idea!
Talk care of yourself and we'll see you next week.
Looking forward to the cruising videos - the plans to go north sound great. And it sounds like there’s some lovely woodwork to come…
Not only have you recovered it seem Geordie will be as well in the future episodes. Glad you are feeling better and as always look forward to more to come.
Terrific! Glad you have recovered and have ambitious plans for this year!
Thank you for the tour love seeing those buildings in the background. OK make a quick recovery because I want to see more woodworking great video!
I am in the same boat (no pun intended) as you! Still recovering from Covid! Hope to be fully recovered sometime next week. Good job on building the community and hosting Tim Vukman! Blessings.
Good night Sweet Prince and flights of angels herald thee to thy recovered kip.
Great entertainment Peter. Looking forward to seeing all your future plans. Very good idea with MV Poem. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Wow. What an ambitious schedual. It is going to be a busy summer. Really enjoying your channel, just trying to get up to speed with watching your earlier episodes. I found your channel through ShipHappens. Having access to the boat shed is going to be a life saver as you repair, replace and recover MV Geordie's cabin sides and roof. MV Geordie is Monk designed, but where was she built and by who? We are currently currently cruising on our Monk designed Skookum in Colombia. Love his boats. Glad you are feeling better. Cheers! Dar
Non alcoholic??? I'm devastated. 16th of Jan we dry docked our 52f ketch. All went smooth until rudder had to come of for new pintle bearing. Unfortunately the 159kg rudder fell on my foot. We were paying $200/day for the dry, so I did not stop, except for quick exray to make sure the bones were ok. Two weeks later boat was splashed and I went to see doctor. After she abused the hell out of me, I ended up on 3 week merry go around with antibiotics and daily wound dressings. This was all good but NO ALCOHOL FOR WEEKS. I couldn't watch the news or read newspapers either as those things are intolerable without alcohol.
Upper helm, get a remote control for steering and motor. drive the boat from anywhere within range of the controller. Nice unclutterd fly bridge , maybe just a couple engine gauges. Maybe get one of the companies to sponsor a installation.
Fun to imagine. I like old school.
im going to be travelling from australia to Vancouver probably middle to late may. Looks like im going to miss my chance to see mv geordie (from a distance of course), what a shame
sounds like you have an amazing next few months ahead of you
Hi Peter. I am very glad to hear that you have recovered (need another T Shirt) from your bout with Covid. You are an admirable person with a heart of gold. I will be checking your Amazon list and I will arrive with something that you need when I come out for my stay on MV Poem. I will also be sending a contribution to your go fund me effort to host me (Tim Vukman). I'm not sure what we could take off of your project list for the few days that I will be there, but I want you to know that I would be willing to help you with your list of projects for later in the year for MV Geordie. I would be willing to find my own way out there to do what I can if I can perhaps stay on one of the boats instead of paying for a hotel room. (My way of giving back in kind). Tim Vukman
Great episode! Although I love the "working" videos, I would love to see a Wharf Walk of the inner harbour off-season boats. I appreciate the issues related to "neighbor watching" but perhaps you can pull it off without invading privacy?
What a busy years planning. Recovery of the Q flag soon! If it is usually a shave and a haircut, think I have another spot shearing soon.
A solute to your recovery as your wood working skills are really missed. Feel better and get back to enjoying life.
Sell MV Poem and make MV Geordie very exceptional and go cruising - life happens now❤️
How much beer can m.v. Pome hold.
Better ask a fairly steep bond for the stay. People are so much less carefull with stuff that is not theirs. 98% are ok, but the 2%... better have a stick to hit them with.
A tour of the city we get today
Talking of things to come. Hooray!
A good mix of boat-work and cruising 't will be.
For the details we shall have to click and see.
But wait, there are dates and places to meet
For those who happen to live in a sweet
Close travelling distance to go there in person
To get a live-look, not the video-version.
Tim V will be first to come stay on Poem.
However, he should be funded to roam
And fly out to Poem and stay for some nights.
Come fund him and help Peter keep on the lights!
For now, I just hope you'll soon feel much better
To better cope with work and weather!
Cause once you have recovered your strength
You'll much better cope with full video-length!
Non Alcoholic???? What is that. Love the work . Hope you get back to proper drinks.
Guessing you will be recovering your roof, whilst your recovering from your illness and recovering from non alcoholic beer!
There's no shame in non-alcoholic beer, it's a fast growing market and there's plenty to enjoy without the unnecessary downsides of alcohol.
Sorry Peter, episodes like this, will not help your chanel to growth......too much talking to little Action, .and i think you need chanel growth in order to gain the financial freedom you need to refurbish and run multiple boats and projects.
After a full two weeks it is officially the worst sickness Ive ever had. The people that PURPOSFULLY did this to everyone should have to pay. My taste buds are still shiot. Im tired of blowing crusty stuff outta every orafice like I sanded the Sahara dessert.
Donations as opposed to pay. Think a little crowdfunding for Poems keep works.
