Wow! Great overview of the different terrains. It does a lot better on tarmac that I would've figured. That rig is so sick!! I want one of these! After watching this, I want it more! Maybe I shouldn't of watched this video...…😉😉 Great job with showing us how versatile this thing is on with the different terrains!!!👍👍
@We Really Don't Know What We're Doing R/C Thanks brother👍👍 I'm really liking what this truck can do. I did some slight changes to help out with the rollovers and it really did help. Got a little greedy on that run and saw a hill in a distance and had a really bad break on it. Sorry to say it will be sometime before I get it back out since that part is unavailable at this time but I will post that run soon. I broke both left and right front spindles.🤢
@James Grosso If you plan on running it stock out of the box, go 8S. For me I went up a few teeth on the pinion and ran on high C rated two 3S packs. I found it to be plenty for me. Watch your temps if you go up a few teeth. Trying to remember what I had in mine. But I would suggest start two teeth up and adjust more from there. I may have landed at either 20T or 22T with no heat issues.
How did you like it on the beach sand? I bought mine about a month ago and i am taking it to the beach next month. Trying to decided if I want to get some adapters and use paddle wheels or keep them stock. What are your thoughts?
@Mickey Lopez I only ran it on sand on my first run. It was on 6S and I did not adjust the stance prior. Excellent traction but had my fair share of rollovers. I think pack sand you can't go wrong. Loose powdery stuff may need some paddles. Check out the video if you get a chance. ruclips.net/video/BuhnMC_QzBE/видео.html Sand run is at 7:01.
@Carlos oliveira Full disclosure I do not own a 6S pack to try it but I will say the battery box on the SRR can handle it. The SBR it's a smaller battery box and the way it loads the batteries I think there may be some issues getting a single 6S pack in there.
Awesome video my friend glad nothing broke man. I've driven mine about 3 time getting use to it. drove it straight up a 75' hill seeing if i could make it to the top she took a lot of absuce & still in one piece lol she pretty tough so far definitely gonna do some jumping once i get home from vacation the weather sux up north you definitely got some nice jumps in man happy New Year & happy bashing my brotha👍🤙😎🤪😜😝🙈🙉🙊👊✌
@12R1 Happy New Year bro🎆 Tell me about it. If it's not been raining, it's been 34 degrees or less. Took that beast out yesterday and not in one piece afterwards😂🤣 I don't blame the truck since it was so cold but it was a pretty big jump. Get that bashing in, can't wait to see the footage👊👊👍👍🤘🤘
@Javier Durán I'm not sure I understand your question. This is a 5th scale motorthat comes in the Super Rock Rey. I'm not sure what size those motors you are looking at are but they don't sound like 5th scale motors. They would be well under powered for this RC.
@Nikola sekulic Too soon to call this a favorite but if the SBR was just a little more scale I would give it to the SBR. For how it drives right now the SBR but I've not taken this out as much as the SBR. No straight answer on this one yet. I will say part supply is limited on the SRR right now, which will change but that is something to think about.
@Kyle King What you are going to need is a 1/6 scale servo. I'm still running the stock servo in mine. But you need something close to these dimensions: Length=2.33 in (59.1mm), Width=1.14 in (29mm) and Height=2.16 inch (54.9mm). Hope that helps.
@jcdebbs Thanks for asking. Yes I did! I adjusted the shock mount position on all shocks. It made a world of difference. I need to edit that video. It's in the queue.
@Phil Harden If I could only choose one it would be the SBR. That truck is a tank. I've found the front end to be more durable on the SBR mostly in part to the bumper and the smaller wheels.
@Jp Thanks for watching. I actually do not use the RTR remote. If you watch the end of the video, you will see my DX4R Pro sitting next to the truck. I love the L/M/H setting. Had it first on my 3XLE. Great feature.
Looks like a blast! This is out of my price range but maybe I'll look into the normal rock rey ... I think with just a few minor upgrades it'll be a pretty solid rig
Excellent video bruh! I purchased my SRR a few weeks ago and I love it!!! Still trying to figure out how I manage to strip the metal steering gears... twice!!!
@D. Devaun Thanks bro👍👍 Yeah there are some issues with the front-end protection on the truck. I have not had that break but I think the front-end needs some tougher parts or better protection.
really love this things looks in person but parts are hard to get so i may get x maxx e revo 2.0 or a udr my gf want a e revo 2.0 so ill get that and another or something else so stuck right now
It’s not pitching down from the jump. Your jump is too small for that large scale RC. Your rear wheels are still on flat ground when the fronts leave the ramp. This causes the front end to drop when the rear wheels hit the inclice of the ramp. This causes the back end to buck. Very common in the Side by Side world when jumping. I have the same RC and it jumps great on the right terrain. You do know there is a switch on top of the remote that let you use 50% 75% or 100% throttle right? It seems like its slow and I run 6S too.
@Ben Gordon Thanks for watching! Tell me about it I wish we had some proper locations out here in Long Island but there are not. To be honest I never used the stock controller on this kit. I'm using my DX4R, it's actually in the final shot of the video. I'm not sure what you are clocking on 6S but I'm getting 36mph, pretty quick for this size.
Fun first run. Why only 6S? Put the big power to this thing! Go check out our latest video to see this thing really get some air. We are impressed with the durability so far.
@Roadside RC Oh it's in the plan. I have the SBR and 6S is plenty but I want to see how this would handle. Next up is 8S but it has to wait. Took it out yesterday and broke both front spindles. Two things sad about that. 1. No upgrades and the plastics are out of stock. 2.Just watched your video today on your epoxy addition😁 Keep those videos coming. You have some great content👍👍
@@ReadySetRC Thanks. Sucks to hear - BOTH spindles! Did you see the post from Losi on their Facebook page? Says contact them if you have had spindle issues! Check it out!
@Great Lakes RC I'll be honest with you, it wasn't. This truck was going about mid thirties on this run. I know a lot of people like to hit 50+ MPH but with the characteristics of this truck, that would only be good for going in a straight line.
Awesome looking monster buggy. It sounds very loud but when pop those jumps it lands perfectly. Great video, so when are you going to do a comparison video with Yeti XL?
@Steve Roehl Thanks for watching. I adjusted the shock mount on another run and WOW, different truck. Does it still rollover, yes but not as much as in the stock form. You are correct part of it is the nature of the Rock Rey.
@ashingashinga Hard to say. I took this out to three different locations on the same two 3S packs. I may have spent a little over 5 minutes at each location.
@Jonnyxyu You must be new to the channel, welcome. There are 11 videos of this RC up on the channel. All old like this one. This was the very first run of this RC. If you looking for something newer ruclips.net/video/rEl2kXs4Lns/видео.html
@anthony giorgio Yes that was real bashing. I enjoyed every minute of it. Sorry it was not for you but guess what everything is not for everyone. 36+ miles per hour for a truck this size is plenty. No idea why people want an off-road vehicle that can go insanely fast in a straight line. That too me is not bashing but speed runs.
Not to sound rude but that thing is way faster then what u had it at. Real bashing to me is real jumps I do over 80 feet doubles and some other crazy things. I'll have to put some up
@anthony giorgio You're not being rude brother. Bashing to me is what ever you make it. It's RC driving without any rules. Now hard bashing that's a different thing and 6S for this truck is not hard bashing. I had one person ask me if I had the remote set to medium or 70% but I don't run the stock controllers. I actually show my controller in the end sitting next to the truck. But 6S high is equal to what you get on medium on 8S. Love to see your vid's, post them up. Don't worry about the editing that will come with time. More content is good for the community.
@@227giorgio So far not too bad. I'm seeing where they skimped out vs the SBR. The spindles is the only thing I've broke and to me that is a weak point comparing it to the SBR. You are a better man than me😂 I spend almost a week editing depending home many cameras I shoot with.
