    I guess when you give the rig what IT wants you’ll break less for sure 🫡 what an awesome bash and day you had here Pal🫡 nice of you to share and for sure some of those tumbles I thought you’d have a breakage yet he held up 💥🥃

      I think the key is to keep it somewhat scale. No 30 foot high jumps. Lol

    The SRR is my favorite electric RC. I have 2 of them myself. One gets thrashed on and the other doesnt get run too often. My first one has the Losi aluminum servo mount, a 900+ ounce inch servo, all the T-Bone parts except for the shock tower part, vitavon front shock tower, aluminum bell crank, custom built (by me) front upper arms, aluminum front diff housing, and Losi front spindles. With those parts I havent had a break in over a year and i hammer on the thing. The second one has the same servo and mount and the front spindles as well. I plan on doing a full Vitavon kit on the second one and keep it looking nice. I am by far the hardest on the SRR than all of my other RCs combined (excluding the 3XLE as i was harder on that than the SRR before i retired it). Im happy they still build the SRR but i wish they wouldnt have stopped making the 1/10 Rock Rey (also own 1 of them) as if i had known would have bought another when i purchased my brother his. Before i knew how good the 1/10 rock rey was i bought it for him, then when i needed one for myself found out they were discontinued. Only one still brand new ive seen is the Monster Energy edition one going for almost $800. Definitely aint paying that for a "rare" one as im looking to use it like i do with half of my discontinued RCs. Blah blah blah. Lol. When you start breaking shock towers (once they start breaking, they break often. Cant explain why), get yourself the Vitavon shock tower as it increases the durability 10 fold.

      Cool man, sounds like you got yours built up nice. Mine also has the aluminum spindles, forgot to mention that in the vid. I'm just going to upgrade as needed if parts break. I had a 1/10 but I just had no luck with it. I was always breaking wheel hex pins, driveshaft pins, lower arms and I forget what else. Literally 10 out of 11 runs, it broke on the first pack. Eventually switched to stock UDR wheels with Hyrax tires and the lighter setup made all the difference but by then I was scared to even use it and gave up on it.
      Did you stiffen up your Diffs at all on the SRR?

      @@rcilluminati26 I rarely change diff fluids in any RC. I think the only one i ever changed was my 3XLE to 500k. Stock is 50k i think.

    I enjoyed this video as I'm not the type to launch my expensive toy from a roof, there's a forest behind my house ill check out tomorrow. Think I'll invest in a Gopro for tracking slow motion close shots. Cheers from Austria 🇦🇹

      Cool, same here. I see a lot of SRR videos where guys are bashing them like its an XMAXX. I've done it but I really prefer scale driving. I really love the SRR in the woods like this. Lots of fun obstacles to try to conquer. Every log or rock can become a jump. I especially like finding a small kicker jump to launch it up a ledge or steep rock face.
      I watch a lot of full scale rock bouncer videos and that what I try to copy. Its super fun to see it in slow motion

    Freaakin awesome indeed mate, loved that run. I was wondering if that's the same spot where you took your Gen8 & Capra the other day. Looks wicked for trailing and crawling 👍

      Different spot, also really good for crawling and rock bouncing. Great terrain for the Rock Rey

    Do you see an 1/6 ultra4 like a super hammer rey is coming?? If so I hope they do Loren Healy’s bronco R

      I'd love to see that. You have to figure that they made both 1/10 and 1/6 Baja and Rock Reys so now that theres a third, why not make a Super version as well. They can even use a lot of the existing parts like the HR does

    Did you say put earplugs in the diff?

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  2 года назад +1

      Yes, 100% silicon earplugs can be used for diff fluid. Its like running 20mil wt. Since its pure silicon, it can mix with the fluid so you can add a little or a lot to fine tune. On my Ryft, I have all three done like this and they still slip just enough to protect the drivetrain but I get much more drive to all 4 wheels.
      I'll most likely make a vid when I do the SRR. I'm not going to stiffen the front as much because I dont want it to steer like crap at higher speeds.

      Wish mine would turn. Tried swapping out the servo and got the same results.
