Hey I watched this video to have someone else practicing with me in my living room. Each time I take a break I look at your video. You and your team are very talented. I wish you the best 💞. - A random person in their living room
I have a question. Before I say anything, I want to start off by saying that I completely know how hard and dangerous cheerleading is. Reason why is because more than ten years ago I read a book in one of my favorite teen drama series where the main character was a female who was a freshman in high school and she did cheerleading. She physically described how hard it is. I also did research a little afterwards into the sport and found out how common certain injuries are. Which brings me to my question. Why don't cheerleaders weight train? Female bodies are typically weaker than males, and a weaker body is more susceptible to injury. This is one of the main reasons in my opinion why there are so many injuries in cheerleading. Wouldn't cheerleaders benefit and be less prone to injury if they weight trained sometimes and made their muscles and bones stronger and more resilient by lifting weights once in a while?
@@MadalynMac Nice. Im glad to see females working on their body and getting stronger. I graduated 2018 from my high school, played football and ran track, and had a few female friends who did cheerleading. I literally never saw any females on my high school cheer team workout. My ex female friend who did cheerleading said she doesn't lift weights. I heard several females say that weightlifting is boring to them. Many cheerleaders would benefit from resistance training in my opinion 👍
@@MadalynMacBut what about MANY other cheerleaders? I have yet to see any high school cheer team weight train, even a little bit. Why is it that so many cheerleading teams at any level don't see or recognize the importance of weight training?
