Not Kim taking one look at Becky's tatt and saying "you've been punished enough" LMAAAAO 😂😭 rip becky
Yes! She is a sweetheart but that was savage!
Aww when Becky's mom said "If I had a child who said they were dumb or stupid (I don't like those words), I would have shown them everything they'd accomplished up to that point" I cried! That is the sweetest, most supportive thing I've ever heard a parent say 😭😭😭
And what if i haven't accomplished anything 🥺🤢🥲
i ALSO still watch the guilty pleasures episodes when i haven't seen the movies. thank you becky's mom. its not about the movies, its about seeing how inappropriate kelsey can get before they have to cut.
😂😂😂
YES!
Also, in the case of Morbius, I just didn't wanna watch the movie, so I watched their review.
Little did I know I would end up going with my cousin to see it on $7 Tuesday at our local cinema lol
1,000% same. Couldn’t have said it better
Oh my gosh I LOVE Ariel's holiday special with moms idea!! You should bring Maggie, Ariel and Becky's moms onto the pod, and everyone should dress in matching holiday PJs. It would be SO cuttteeee!! Segments could include: favorite holiday memories with the girls as kids, holiday trivia, maybe do a white elephant style gift exchange, and you could have cookies and mulled wine or hot cocoa 😍
This SO needs to happen. The vibe you described would be so amazing!! Maybe they could add the doggos too, like they did today!
also, mother’s day is a few weeks away!! could be perfect for that
She’s so sweeet watching Becky & Keith when she misses them 💕💕
Love how Becky and Zamboni sit in the exact same way, legs crossed fingers intertwined, hands on knees
I love how you called Kim ‘Zamboni’ 😂 that’s so cute!
That part where they laugh the exact same, Becky throws her head back and then Kim does right after 😭😭
Kim's comment about giving yourself permission to say "hey you know this isn't for me" and then trying something else, to always keep trying, made me honestly tear up a bit. Thank you for your wisdom and lovely advice!
26:21 Pesto sleeping on one side of matt's lap and Kimbop sleeping on the other side while being pampered is just so cute 🥺🥺🥺
“I run from pain” 😂 Kim is a true comedian, what a treat
The look an Ariel’s face when she found out Becky had sleepovers at a boy’s house. Lol priceless, and my mother would have the same reaction.
The way Matt said “it’s not too late” had me rolling”
I am Becky’s mom re: podcasts! I replay them on YT while I’m cooking, doing laundry, doing my makeup, when my brain is too anxious to read… It’s like I’m chilling out with friends ❤️
Same!
Rather than listening ro music, I put on podcasts or TV shows I have watched endless times lol
For any students figuring out their plan after high school: The prestige of your school hardly matters. Students are much more likely to finish their degree and enjoy it more if they are in the upper percentage of a smaller or less prestigious school than if they are just scraping by in a huge fancy school. I have never regretted going to a small no name school out of high school because it gave me time to figure out what I wanted and what I am actually good at with less pressure.
Man I hope zambonis come up somehow (EDIT: lol I left that comment literally as the video started. VINDICATION.) Becky's mom seems like such a sweetheart.
omg Kim and Becky’s parent/child relationship goals, great episode
Speaking as a (younger, female, unmarried) clergy person, marriage counseling was one of the most uncomfortable things for me to do when I was in a local church. We get some training, mostly around talking through conflict, support resources, and compatibility, but... I would primarily send them to a couples therapist. I wouldn't recommend going to a clergy person for that, even if the state does give a discount on the marriage fees.
We should be talking about vows, and the meaning of the vows if someone wants a church wedding. Not trying to do therapy we're not liscenced for.
"Honestly, I would have a third kid just to, like, have boobs again" lmfao as a mother, i get it
As a currently nursing mother to my second baby I get it
It so cute how Kim and Becky sat on the exact same position in the whole podcast episode ♥️♥️♥️ want all the moms on the pod....
This episode’s advice section really hit hard. I feel like I really needed to hear that conversation y’all had about college and continuing down your own path in life. I think hearing Kim’s take on things really just reminded me of the mother figures in my life and I needed to hear it. Thank you all 💕
Kim in the house! What a treat. I heard the podcast on Spotify this morning and it was just lovely.
she is just the sweetest and most precious person, I've been waiting for them to have her as a guest
Hearing Kim discuss intelligence was so lovely 💖 she’s so sweet.
For my best friend's bachelorette party, I would order just a coke but dressed like a Jack and coke. Usually soda is in a plastic cup and mixed drinks are in clear cups/glasses and served with a lime. So they would dress it up for me but I was drinking straight coke all night. No one noticed because they were so drunk and I got to have a happy sober weekend without being peer pressured. Plus I only spent a few bucks a night and they spent hundreds of dollars a night.
50 seconds in, Emma: Oops too much people for my anxiety! yeah I'm out...
She really is my spirit animal.
Raised Catholic and a survivor of pre cana… I’m laughing so hard at this marriage prep conversation. Had to take a whole class on NFP on top of the weekend retreat, it was a lot.
I'm a practicing Catholic right now what's NFP?
@@karltee7862 it stands for Natural Family Planning- ways of preventing conception without using birth control
@@gracetaylor6309 thanks
Oh my god, Kim is an icon, I love her! This episode was so funny I teared up at serveral parts just laughing. More moms please!!
this isnt enough with becky's mom! she's a delight and i want to hear more of her opinions and viewpoints! she's so entertaining, even on try guys videos. thanks for bringing her and im looking forward to more of her and other moms!
OH MY GOSH IT'S KIM!!!! I LOVE HER SO MUCH! AND THE DOGS!!! A REAL FULL HOUSE!
I started out at a four year university and really struggled with it, and then I ended up in the hospital during my second semester and fell really behind, then the pandemic started and honestly it was a little bit of a saving grace. When school moved online I realized there was no point in paying for online classes when I could transfer to the community college and pay a fraction of the price for the same thing. Transferring was one of the smartest decisions I’ve ever made and this way I’m able to take my education at a pace that works for me and save up more money so that when I’m ready to transfer back to finish my degree I’ll have less debt. If you’re not sure where to start but know that you want to pursue higher education, community college is one of the best decisions you can make
Aaa yes Kim! I love how within the first five minutes she was @ing Becky for cussing 😂
This was one of my favorite episodes I was sitting here cracking up half the time omg. They are all so delightful and Becky's mom Kim is really a treat! SO lovely
I feel so seen! I also used to lie in my confessions because I felt like I only had one thing/ nothing to say to the priest. Felt so pressured that I only spent a few minutes with the priest compared to my classmates that would spend more than 5 mins in confession.
Kim is a national treasure and must be protected at all cost. 💖
Request to have her on again AND any of the other moms of the Try Universe. Loved this episode!
I'm currently working a full-time job while doing my masters online. When it gets hard I always wonder if this is worth it all. But Becky's mom, bless her, she spoke to my soul and I feel so much more motivated! I am working hard to get to where I wanna be in life! Love you all 💞
think this is one of my favorite episodes! just listening to Becky and her mom bicker or making jokes is precious
I love that Mom did the "byeee" with the rest of the try wives! My heart!!
I love love LOVE anytime a RUclipsr brings their parent on a show, it's always such a joy to see who shaped one of my favorite internet personas
I come from a Christian background and it’s encouraged to have marriage counseling before you tie the knot. I think it always a great idea especially if things moved too fast, it forces you to slow down and look at what you’re probably going to deal with in the future and at least mentally prepare for it.
Even as a non-religious couple, it's probably a good idea honestly!

Anyone else confused when Ariel mentioned her menstrual and Pre-K...to me pre-k is pre kindergarten and was a bit disturbed LOL now I get it!!!!
LOL. It's pre-cana, but I understand the confusion!
@@hhopper92 Now that makes sense!!!! 😆
Lol yeah I definitely heard pre k at first, and it's what the subtitles had. 😅
@@hhopper92 it's weird, I'm a practicing Catholic and I've never heard of pre cana before lol
i was not expecting a pile of people and dogs on the couch LOL i thought Zamboni Mom was replacing someone for the day, but they fit everyone
For the college question: your friends getting accepted to more prominent universities does not mean you are dumb or not as smart as they are. It just means they had something that the school prefered. Specific major, connections, extracurricular. But the other thing to remember is transfers exist and the education you get at a public school is not that much different than you would get at a private school (this being the difference I am assuming or between ordinary colleges and ivy league). I was beat out of seat by a classmate who was undecided to go to a very prominent local university even though I had declared mg major which was upsetting but it reminded me that all that matters is you take the classes seriously and learn as much as you can.
Kim advice needs to be a reoccurring segment please! The advice about college was wonderful
I want a podcast with Kim, she’s so effervescent and interesting!
I was so excited to see Kim on the thumbnail. I clicked so fast.
My fiancé and I are doing a marriage book together and we love it! It’s a great option for people who aren’t religious but who may want or need to talk about big life decisions.
I’m glad they shed some light about the whole school thing. It comforts me to to hear and know that there are other ppl who go through different stages of their education. I took a year off of high school for mental health reasons so I was held back. Im still grinding to get my HS diploma just so I can apply for college this September. Im grateful for my journey and so should you
“You’re just jelly cause you’ve got huge dad head” 😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂 my mom gives me the same grief! But that was hilarious! I love Kim!! She’s a hoot!! Can she please be a regular?? She can attend virtually if she can’t stop by each week 😜
Omg when you said Christmas special your dog jumped up 👁👄👁 min 9:08
Ive had such a tough season stumbled on this episode rewatched it and it just hit home especially about the college. I loved hearing keep trying. I’ve been laid off in another country and redefining my life. Mama Kim thank you for your comforting words.
As someone who went through catholic pre-cana 10+ years ago, I went to a weekend where actual married couples came to discuss the different relationship topics (NFP, money, disagreements, etc), and the priest was just for the doctrinal parts+the mass (which was a fraction of the whole thing)-- it was a pleasant surprise. (And now that I teach at a university, I'm also pleasantly surprised to find a lot of priests doing grad school for counselling psychology and similar fields.)
This episode is such a treat!!! KIM WAS SO FUNNY!!
I love listening! I binged and caught up this past 4 weeks
Yea Kim I thought I was the only one to watch the all the podcasts on my TV and then re-watch them throughout the week until new ones are released 🙃
Bless her 💕
Kim made this episode feel so warm and nice. 🥰
Morning marriages (typically around 10-11 am) are actually quite common where I live. Lunch is also normally the main meal of the day here, so it makes sense to invite everyone to a huge festive lunch. That doesn't mean the reception ends in the evening or at midnight - it goes on as long as people want to party, easily until early morning next day.
I’m with you Becky!!! No bra is the most comfy way, even with larger breasts.
This podcast is so healing and amazing. I love this network thing!
What a treat to have Kim with us today! Thank youuu!
Love Becky's Mom - great guest! I'd love to see all the mom's of the try wives on this podcast. Great Stories in episode!
I've probably watched every episode twice or more. I'm obsessed
Kim for the win! Such a heartwarming episode, makes me miss my momma viscerally 😢
💛💛💛💛
Double diva here, yes, I have to wear my regular bra and the sports bra if I want to have proper support and not a uniboob. This has helped me not get stretch marks on my ladies. Also, MOISTURIZE Them! The skin products you use on your face, put them down your neck and chesties. Keep them looking their best :)
I never think about moisturizing, that’s a great tip!
Love Kim her hair, style and wisdom 😍❤ made me miss my momma so much.
sidenote, the doggos are so unbothered just chilling there with their dad and aunts in the sofa 🤗🤗
I love this pod!! ❤️ Please bring the other parents on! And the Christmas vid idea is fabulous 🤩
Becky - your mom is delightful! Love it! There should be a pod with just the moms - that would be amazing!!!
I am so happy Kim could come sit with us! ❤️
I did pre Cana online and it was awesome! Videos had great advice and let us take a moment to really think of our partnership and shared goals. I think it gets a bad rep because its catholic. But I only had good experienc. Though I don't know if I would say the same if it were in person with someone from the church. Online videos gave us distance and more control of our time.
Living for this episode. Definitely get all the moms together for a Christmas Special
ARIEL. IS BABY STEPS PODCAST COMING BACK?!?! I’m not a mom but I love hearing your takes as I hope to be one in the next 5 years
“Communion before he was communed” 🤣 Becky is hilarious!
I wish my father had been like Becky's mom. Supportive but also responsible enough to know when to step in and reality check. Particularly the way she answered how she would have answered the question if Becky had asked if she thought she was dumb. In my case my father did the opposite despite graduating from high school with high honors, instead of being praised I was told by my father imagine what I could have done if I wasn't lazy despite having worked my butt off to get to that level. It was at that moment I realized I would never be enough for my father and I can't live my life hoping to one day please him and make him proud. But again that's my rant. I loved Becky's mom in this episode
I don't drink but I want a Wine Woody! Matt should get one for Eugene!
My fav episode of the podcast so far!!
Why is every episode just a feel good episode? I love you guys!!!!
Aw we need a pt2 i loved kims wisdom
In Protestant churches, you don't have to have a ceremonial first communion or a baptism before partaking in the eucharist, and it's even encouraged in all the churches I've been to to take wafer and juice no matter where you are in your journey.
I absolutely love this episode! Kim is a such a highlight of this show! Hope she comes back 😊
"What's your favorite swear word Kelsey says?"
"I don't like swear words."
OMGG I DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED THIS BUT OMGGG I NEEDED THIS Lolol love it. 💜
My biggest tip for staying safe at parties (i.e. not getting roofied) is to get a tumbler or cup thats closed with a straw. That way it's way way harder for someone to walk by and put something in your drink. So if you are having a canned drink or some wine etc. just pour it into your "drinking cup". All the girls I know in college had one and we all personalized them to mark them as our own.
I love that Kim mentioned you do you about drinking. I am not a drinker and over the years people were always trying to force it on me
I love how Pesto & Kim are so relax
Loved seeing Becky's mama! Lowkey funny as heck that I'm playing Stardew Valley and the auto generated name of my goal that I bought was "Bra" as you ladies (plus Matt
Lololol, I’m watching and playing Stardew Valley too - now you’ve inspired the name for the next goat I get 😂😂
I would like to see the Try Guys work at a Cookie Factory!
It’s always weird how uncomfortable people get when I tell them I don’t drink…
to the college question: i totally feel you, admissions has been BRUTAL these past few years. i was where you are now a year ago, and now im a freshman at a school i totally love. IMO whatever happens, it’ll all work out :) whether you end up at a small liberal arts college, a big university, taking a gap year/semester, getting job experience, or whatever you end up doing, it will all work out.
My family also has an allergy to bell peppers! My brother's is pretty severe, where mine is more of an intolerance. I will say that some paprika is not made specifically from bell peppers, but from a pepper in the same family that is often called the paprika pepper. It is long and narrow. My brother can have that paprika, but we have to investigate the paprika carefully. Zach's allergy could be for the whole nightshade family, but ours is not. It really is a pretty rare allergy, as most people have never heard of it.
i was calculating my grades and realized I essentially can no longer reach my goal of having an A in biochemistry and this episode was really, really comforting. I especially cried at 54:28 when Becky's mom shared what she would have done if her child didn't feel bright enough. Because right now, I certainly don't feel bright enough.
I have about 30 tattoos and my grandma doesn’t want me to get more… but my mom gave up 😂 she said you can do whatever you want when you’re 18. No day earlier. And that’s what I did. First tattoo on my 18th birthday. No regrets 😆
Kim is the best! I literally felt like she gave the best advice I've heard in a long time. I hope whoever listens to this takes that into consideration. 💜
There are also a lot of different kinds of programs that you can stack up on each other.
33:57 LMAO 😭
Mama Kim you are so sweet!! Can't wait to see you on the podcast again!! 💕💕💕
A wine woody would be the perfect way for me to enter a new decade next month. 😁
this was so cute and fun 😭💛
Maggie’s outfit is so beautiful! Love you ladies 🤍
My favorite Try Wives podcast episode yet!! 🧡🧡
I need a wine woody! Lol
incredibly distracted by sleepy kim in matt’s lap, here for it though
"For all those cookies!" 😂
With university, especially where you’ve been a big fish in a small pond intellectually, there is a sense of shame with asking for help and accepting that classes can be hard. The biggest thing I’ve discovered is, just try your best and dont be afraid to drop the class, dropping a class before the deadline you’ll typically get some money back and there won’t be a fail on your transcript. It’s not giving up, it’s accepting that something is hard so you can try again. The first year is really hard because the classes are very general, you’re building foundations and aren’t into the specific classes on one topic. The first year is MEANT to weed out people, so just try your best FOR YOURSELF and don’t put your self worth on your grades!
to the college question: i know a girl who got rejected from our state university & tons of other schools & now goes to tufts. what our college counselor told her is that sometimes colleges need a tuba player, or a swimmer, or a math major, etc., and that’s just the box they’re trying to fill (even at small schools!). i know it’s hard but try not to take it personally. they know nothing abt you & your intelligence, only the small snapshot of you that is your college portfolio:)
