Das legendäre Wasserspiel von Avellino - als Vorbereitung zur WM '86 in Mexiko! Ich kannte zum Ende des Spieles hin, kaum mehr einen Unterschied zu den Trikots der Italiener 😁! Genial! 😊

@@philfrank9226 thanks, ..he wasn't a fixed starter till 86 wc or one or two years prior, I think when he came on as sub in 2 games in 82 Rummennige was subbed out or didn't start and was subbed in later in the game, I have no recollection of the two being starters on the same game from 82 to 86

المانيا انتصرت على أرض ايطاليا مرتين فقط كانت هذه المباراة أحدهما أرجو ان تفوز المانيا في المباراة القادمة لأن آخر فوز الماني على ايطالي يعود للعام 1995

This German team was a poor poor side. Even more remarkable or astonishing that five months later on June 29th 1986 they were in the world cup final.

Proof positive that they were not a poor side.. they deserved to win that wc final match

@@aryazad1 . Fair enough in your opinion. Look at their run to the semifinals. They played no world beaters or any team of significance

@@aryazad1 . France had just beaten Italy and had been
taken to extra time by Brazil in one of the greatest world cup games ever.
As per usual in football German luck with the draw amigo

@@mcharris5200 how much luck are we talking about here?.. let's see, this German team made it to the final 4 years prior in 82, then again in 86, and won it all in 90.. this very same team beat Brazil few months after this game 2-0.. doesn't sound like a very lucky poor side to me 🤔

At that time this German team was the physically and nerve-wracking (good penalty shooters!) best team in the world with very competitive players like Briegel, Matthäus, Buchwald, Förster; the best goalkeeper in the world Schuhmacher and conditional running wonder Rolff and Magath. Italy was the reigning world champion at the time and had no chance except for one goal. Back then it was very difficult to win against Germany and it took the genius and energy of Diego Armando Maradona to stop these fighting machines ...
In football as in life: There are always several ways to move forward.
