Sway is literally the nicest guy in the world in real life. Met him at neiman Marcus, felt like I’ve known him forever, he even called Heather b and his other co host to introduce me to. I just told him I was a fan. Sway is like nipsey, another super nice guy I sat next to on a plane.

Sway is The GOAT. The Wake Up Show is The GOAT. Sway and King Tech made some of the best compilations. Sway was hosting live battles over dial-up internet. Sway always spoke up on real issues. Sway always gave real emcees a platform, next to mainstream artists. He has been through ERAS and remains relevant. And Sway is not afraid of nobody lol. When Sway moved them waterbottles to show that Troy Ave was reading the bars off his phone… one of the wildest but most HipHop moments ever lol. Elliott Wilson is not on the same level as Sway, as far as all-around media. Elliott is a better WRITER. He is Print Media GOAT. But Sway is a GOAT on all levels, he has many more aspects to his game. Including actually creating music and participating in the craft too. Elliott Wilson is better compared with someone like Davey D.

I been saying this for a long time that every major genre and industry has an _ecosystem._ Let's look at hip hop even a decade ago: Rappers fucked with DJs because those DJs would spin their records at the club, put out mixtapes with their tracks and even play them on radio shows, and that's how you get bigger. Today we have some rappers catching a viral moment and getting big but most rappers don't. You need to do interviews, and you need to fuck with DJs that are still out there. That's how you get to newer and bigger audiences!
Likewise, the bigger rappers need to feed that same media ecosystem to some degree or another to keep the machine moving and keep people fed. You can't concentrate everything into fewer and fewer hands and mouths.
