Need money to see it. was a shame i like that music
@@forestertb wait, what? no money needed to watch my videos. I do not monetize or use Patreon. just added Venmo if anyone would care to send a one time tip. but yeah, there is no fees or donations needed.
This song is very straight to the point. It's telling people in general but specifically law enforcement to stop blindly obeying clearly racist and/or evil orders. But after COVID plandemic which was clearly a depopulation program and ALL the WORLD blindly going along with it, I don't know if people learned RATM or any lessons that the rulers HATE us and are trying to kill us.
BTW I was house mates with a black guy who got a job as a trolley security, not regular police but was trained like it. And I literally witnessed him being brainwashed in real time. He went from someone who KNEW the system was rigged against poor people and racist in enforcement to a guy that after 1 year of 'enforcement training' was telling me that black people are violent. He is BLACK and his training for black civilians as he explained it to me was identical to his training for a suspected Terrorist, no shit. And he believed it.
These are great compilations. Great work. Be cool to see one on Dax's To be a man - Original version. Also if you had other options for non Venmo users that would be great. I realise it takes time to make these vids.
They played this at their furst concert
In some live versions the refrain is changed to “some of those who burn crosses are the ones who hold office.”
I used that line as a sign when I was at a march for Black Lives Matter lol
Wow.....and roger that.
Thats how the original was but I think they couldnt release that version cause of obvious reasons. Not entirely sure but thats how I remember it.
@@kranger2287 the only joke I see is your comment.
Lot's of bands had to alter key words and/or phrases to pass the sniff test.
that first break, “what…WHAT!?!” and then they all have that epiphany. that cracks me up.
Even better (Or worse, I guess) : The moment they realize this song is nearly 30 years old and still as relevant as ever.
@HC-sb1ru People don’t realize how short that is in history timeline
"That was a rebellious way to tell kids to think for yourself" thats one wholesome way to put it!
Exactly be a leader not a follower
thats some " I don't want say something" bs motivation over an anti cop song with a clearest message, killing in the name [jesus] burning crosses who control forces and offices so fuck them
@@miked6083 How so?
😁 yepp 💯% !!! I grew up with this and: " I won't do what ya tell me" is so me.
I am god. I am souveign. I am free.
Blissings to all rebel souls out there 🙏
Republicans don't want kids to learn critical thinking skills!
All those years ago. This is still a message that is sadly relevant. Loved it as soon as I heard it when it first came out and still get goose bumps when listening to it.
I will be forever grateful this is the music I grew up on. I graduated highschool in 96 and in 92 I got to see/hear this live, 100% new and yet to be heard by the masses... Being a young teen during that time definitely made a lasting impact on me and my world view today...events like the LA Riots, bands like Body Count and RATM, etc made for a crazy but enlightening decade...the 90s was the last decade before social media f'd everything up lol
I graduated in 99
You're so right-I miss my youth, too! (I was born circa 1977.) 😢🤘🏻❤️♾️✊🏼
Class of '95!
@@Chaotic-Demise77 Same here-class of '95!
@@gNome_5 🤘
"telling kids to think for yourself" thats exactly what it did for me. bless you!
The finest political band of the 90’s and some of us were lucky enough to hear them on the radio and stages for the first time ✌️✌️
Fun fact the UK put this song to no1 in the charts at Xmas in 2009 (I think ten years after it’s initial release) as a reaction against the winning X factor contestant always being the Xmas no.1 😂
more like 17 years after its initial release ;)
Older than that, mate!
Bought a digital copy to support the cause. Good times
I love the British 😂😂😂
How this band’s music isn’t the soundtrack for the social change that needs to be happening right now is beyond me.
Because the social change today wants to replace one machine for another.
Uk made it number 1 at Christmas a few years ago
@Chuck yes, do everything you can to screw your boss and landlord. They would do it to you.
@Chuck he didn't say basis, he said soundtrack.
It is tho
I love how Krazy's eyes r goin back n forth n u can see the lyrics clicking in his head. That's how I want ppl to react to Rage!
This came out right after the horrific Rodney King incident.
And radio stations refused to play them until several years after.
@@zeitgeistx5239 didn't happened this in Europe. And I think some other countries.
I remember when I was listening to this in high school and it was more like underground and heavily censored in ways to keep it out of the mainstream. You had to have the CD (or cassette) to listen to their music. Zach de la Rocha was 💯 about his message in his music and without going too deep and writing a novel he was strongly anti government and letting people know you have to look beyond the surface of what you see
Clever to put all reactions into one video. Never seen that before on RUclips. In th 90-ts, I was jumping to this. So happy right now.
thank you! I appreciate it.
So glad I got to experience RATM in my 20's. Taught me a few things. Just like Tool, Deftones, Metallica, Clutch, Hum, Quicksand, John Spencer Blues Explosion, COC, Pantera, AIC, Soundgarden, etc. The 80's and 90's were a great time to experience music in pure form.
Brilliant! Excellent choice, excellent reactors. Keep 'em coming!
love the facial reactions he put in 😂
Im glad i was born in the 90s music like this
Everything they said in their music IN 90s IS STILL TRUE TO THIS DAY!!!!
PEOPLE GOTTA WAKE UP!!!!
Been like that since the 60's and nothings changed, blind sheep
@@bab3242 let me give you some intelligence!!!! Rage Against The Machine wasn't around the 60s...that was who I was talking about!!!!
RATM has no borders, no races, just people. Love this. Seeing people enjoy this for the first time reminds me of the first time I heard freedom. My brain didn't even know what to do with it. Love everyone.
I'm proud that my daughter once sang this song and it went viral all over the world.
Outstanding compilation!!!! Great job!
thank you, I appreciate it
@@shotaholic1
I agree
Awesome Job
@@cjturner370 thank you
Worked security at an all day concert, my gig was to "control" the crowd while this band was onstage. Told my boss, "You have heard these lyrics right?" I just let the concert goers do their things and tried to keep anyone from getting too hurt!!
brilliant compilation. the collective stink face, the grocking, the recognition. epic.
#ratm
thank you very much
I loved the good feeling that 80s music made me feel. But the self expression of the 90s was something different. I truly miss those days, when concerts were cheap enough to go to 5-10 per year and not have to save to just to go to one now. Music meant so much to us back then. Wish Gen Z could see how fucked up their Generation is and pick up a guitar and express themselves.
Gen Z can't even make eye contact & hold a conversation. No way they can appreciate great music 🎵🎵 like RAGE.....or even create good music. Are we doomed?Hope not❗
Don't be dicks, gen X raised gen Z... You got to raise your kids and expose them to the past.
Check out these boomers saying typical boomer shit! If you think Gen Z kids aren't aware of how fucked things are, you're outta touch. If you think they're all the snowflakes the media has portrayed them as then you have fallen hook, line and sinker for mainstream media's agenda.
If you think the kids aren't making amazing music, you're an old fart that can't keep up.
@@elisaabolafia9542 WE get to take over soon, so we will have 20 odd years to course correct.
Of course however, perhaps we will still just wanna say F**K you I won't do what you tell me!!
HOW HAVE THESE PPL NOT HEARD OF RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE?!?! THIS BAND IS EPIC!!!!
So amazing to see youngsters of today react to the greatness that is RATM. Sadly, that type of music no longer exists. Today’s music has nothing like the great music of the 1990’s, which is a shame.
The funny thing is in the 90s they were about anarchy and thinking for yourself but now support the very same people they used to complain about.
Lol no. Absolutely not. They’ve always been leftists, one only needs to read their lyrics with a basic comprehension of English to realise that lmao
The chaos at the front of the crowd while people jump off the stage is making me nostalgic!
This is an entire genre of it's own and I'm here for it.
RIP to the 50 individuals who lost their lives back in 1992 during the L.A. riots-and a BIG FXCK YOU to the officers who were acquitted for the beating of Mr. King, too!
"And the riot be the rhyme of the unheard!" -Calm Like a Bomb, RAGE (Rage Against the Machine) 💣🤘🏻❤️♾️
Just so everybody realizes he's a real one. He was on MTV and they asked him at the ending of this song to change the lyrics and he did exactly what he preaches he stood there held up the middle finger and screamed f*** you, I won't do what you tell me
Gen x here this is why our generation just don't give a shit about anything we grew up angry
Nice work. Keep em coming!
thank you very much, I appreciate that.
6:11 and 6:18 la autentica experiencia, esta musica es como un relámpago que te mueve hasta los intestinos...es una experiencia que te arrolla
Brothers reacting to Rage Against The Machine is one of my favourite You Tube genres.
The fact that this song is as relevant today as it was when it first came out shows that we, as a society, have learned nothing. We, me included, should be ashamed of ourselves.
This song is perfect for christmas
Fun fact: Zachary De La Rocha (singer) has his sociology degree from UCI California and did a cut with The Last Emperor. Zach can spit
Everyone slowly realizing what this song is about....great
This song is great! I didn’t listen to RATM in the 90’s, but I really appreciate several of their songs nowadays.
To some of these reactions, I have one thing to say: Close, but no cigar...go back and really listen to the lyrics... You're still young, you'll get it...😉🤣🤣🤣🤣
It I remember the line was "Some of those that hold office are the ones that burn crosses" but the label made them change it...
WELCOME TO THE GREATEST GENERATION EVA!!!@!
GEN X
The 90’s, the rebellion era as I like to call it. A lot of people didn’t wanna listen to this kinda stuff because of the controversy surrounding the scene. But now y’all wanna embrace it?.. I guess, better late than never 🤘🏽 at least you showed up
Loveeeee this!!!
How have people not heard this band.
Black dude in the hat and blue shirt wasn’t feelin it at all 😂😂😂😂😂
I belive this song was based of the battle of wounded knee in ether North or South Dakota. Federal agents where doing thing they shouldn't do on a native American reservation. If I'm not mistaken a couple agents got killed. Just a reminder that is there land and they rule it
It’s so hard for me to see these reaction videos to comprehend that some people have never heard of Rage. How is that possible???!
30 years old song ..... and one of the best ... and true
One of the best fucking bands ever. Their music made a statement.
@KingSupreme "What the f**k did I just listen to?" - His third eye is opening there in front of camera
😆 yeah it did lol
You got it right, young lady. Love their music and I am 66.
you also must remember that this song was released just after or during The LA Riots of 1992
30 years later and it still hits like day 1, like a motherfucker.
Welcome to the discourse lol.
A lot them don't know that rage became audio slave replaced lead singer with Chris Cornell
For all Y'all new to RATM, welcome to the rabbit hole, and the TRUTH about American history. ✊🏼 Yes, that's my profile pic when I joined the ARMY in 1989. 🤣✌🏼
Great job on this…look forward to more from you…ever take suggestions?
thank you very much. I appreciate that.
I’m working on one right now (when you see it, you’ll understand why it’s been a rough one to get through)
as for suggestions, you can drop one for sure. also, I have a Venmo set up for prioritizing suggestions and I’ll try my best to get any suggestions done.
just know, due to copyrights and other restrictions, I will try but can never promise it getting released.
Stevie Ray Vaughan, Texas Flood, Live at the El Mercombo…about 6 minutes into the video he puts his guitar behind his back and plays with equal proficiency…so many different and hilarious reactions to this moment in particular because he kills it through the entire song and then pulls this trick…just an idea and thanks again
@@metaloxx cool, I think I remember seeing that back in the day…or at least a version because I know I’ve seen footage of SRV doing that. I have a list of songs and videos already, I’ll add it to the list and try to get to it. thank you for the suggestion.
This is my anthem for life ha ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha
Legends!!!!
WE NEED MORE RAGE REACTIONS!! The youth need to know and understand Democracy is at stake and that is a small part of the many reasons this band do what they do,(And still do to this day). Look up their history, it is inspiring. Vote Blue to save Democracy. That is what we do for today. Tomorrow, you do what you like younger generations. If you want real change, you will need to start from the ground up. Best to all who read this!
Una banda adelantada 30 años.... Magníficos.
acordado…gracias
Rage was way before their time... thankfully ppl are appreciating the lyrics & not just the sound..
Love this song. This is back when men had testosterone.
Meka Reacts nailed it
This is a great number... no doubt about it.
Being disagreeable is a masculine trait, this guy had it in spades you can feel the testosterone and defiance.
YOOOO.....Rage against all the SHEIIT in our world...GOOOOOO
“Is that harkening back to the old idea that racist cops who enforced the laws are the same ones wearing hoods?” Got it in one, ma’am, except it’s sadly, not just an old idea but still WAY too prevalent. But “nail on the head” all the same.
Gen X still quietly being badass to this day....
Tom Morello says stay in school kids
My brother retired from LAPD SID he said exactly that stupid. bullyswith low morals
thanks.... shotaholic....
you’re very welcome?!
and thank you for watching.
The GOATS
This does not hit different. This hits exactly that same. Hard af
She got it right
3 words...BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
You just listened to RAGE AGAINST THE -Ucking machine
So many of those reactions didn't understand the police brutality message. When there are more public conversations and national protests.
The name of the band says it all....Rage Against The Machine. What is The Machine? Look around. It's EVERYWHERE. Do what you're told, don't do this, don't say that, go along with the herd, don't think that, etc.........
if Generation X was a
song
If you did not know this was written in response to Rodney King and the LA riots. Rock has always been vocal.
I am in my 50's, yep we use to say what what was on our mind!! Not like today, everything censored !!!
Public Enemy! My favorite!
I'm so happy to see a new generation appreciate this song and hearing the message in it...still is appropriate for today's issues...sad the USA hasn't shut that shitty treatment and beliefs down after how many hundreds of years??? ... shame
AND STILL RELEVANT TODAY
Only tom Morello can have a collection of music like his, he only plays three notes every song 😂
The chick gets it right away. Good on her.
Me excitedly waiting to see their reactions to the “f*ck you I won’t do what you tell me!” Part!😂
I screamed these lyrics so damn loud when this came out back in my high school days, this CD didn’t leave my CD player for like 6 months, I’d yell so loud I’d almost lose my voice, damn Rage was a giant part of my HS life
This was a cool video and it drummed up some amazing memories
I also couldn’t wait for that part of the song ✌🏻
@@freeestyleobsessed I wasn’t alive when the song came out, but my dad raised me on Rage! My parents had good taste! I remember yelling that line when I was way too young to be cursing like that and my parents realizing “Oh we probably shouldn’t have taught them that phrase…” 😂
@chuck6635 Lmao okay edgelord, if you don’t like the song don’t listen to it. People get so offended these days!! 😝
@@many-but-one That's hilarious! I'm reminded of the time I let my kids watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off when they were like 7 & 9. I remembered it having some kissing in it, and obvious disrespect for authority. I *didn't* remember "fuck" being practically every other word in the movie. I paused the movie and asked, "You realize you can't use that language, right?" "Yes, we know." "OK then, back to the movie..." 🤣
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
The 90's doesn't get the recognition it should for the awesome music it had...
NO IT DOES NOT!! the 90’s were the most eclectic decade of music ever. man, I miss those days.
It really was the golden age of ALL artistry! wayyy ahead the times even now
Well said.
I was in my late teens in the 90's, what can I say?
You ain't lying
Rage against the machine is what you can call musical activism.
A lot of punk bands as well
Another good musical activism band is midnight oil.
System of a down
To the moon
I’m 43. This is the music of my generation. Welcome to the 90’s 😎
I'm 49, let's go back :)
42 here!
Also, 43 here.
He said in the beginning "oh it's the 90s." HeLL yeah, here we f'ing go!!🤘🤘
People growing up these days haven't listened to REAL music. They have only listened to auto tune bs stuff etc. That's why now when they hear real music, they can't believe it, their minds are completely blown away and their body and minds can't resist the urge to completely rock away to the music.
Wait until they find out about white zombie
LETS GOOOOOO!
Can't believe Killing In The Name Of is an obscure 'oldie' that's being rediscovered. Christ I feel old.
you and me both! 🥴😆
As a 53 yo, welcome to the greatness ive had for 30 years!🎸🏴☠️🤘
I was a teenager when this came out. RATM arrived like angry aliens from the sky, our saviors from authority at just the right time. we released so much angst to this. I actually got suspended for writing their song lyrics on my combat boots. 😅
I was a young lad working at a law firm as a coffee boy. And one night we had to work all night because of some ridiculous decision by an attorney that left early.
So we did the work, but cranked this song and all sang 'f you I won't do what you told me' in protest.
I can not believe people today never heard of Rage against the machine. This world is doomed.
Yeah I'm thinking some of these have but they pretend they haven't to get clicks. There's thousands of react videos who claim to have never heard bohemian rhapsody either. Everyone knows that song
I think the trajectory of rage's political activism since this album is just as unbelievable. And that makes me fear for the future of the world, just as much, if not more so.
@@monicapyle Definitely lying for views. Most recent example was a bunch of channels reacting to forrest gump “for the first time” lol and they all seem to be around my age 🤷🏽♂️ like ok, so all of y’all were kept in dungeons your whole lives and were only recently let out huh
