Dear Barbara O’Neill, Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I want you to know that my taste buds are damaged from years of brushing my tongue with an electric toothbrush, not from the salt. I have always had low blood pressure and my doctor told me to add more salt to my cooking and eat salty licorice. My adult children told me that my cooking is delicious except that there is no salt in it. I always add a little salt to my cooking but to my adult children the taste is not salty.
I told them that once the food is cooked and it is salty you can not eat it and there is no solution that can be applied but once the food is cooked and not salty enough to eat you can add salt to the food to your own taste.
    Best regards

It also tells me if I’m low or not and I use it to check myself.

Ive just started puting organic celtic salt in my water bottle, i got used to the taste. I put about half cup of salt in a plastic bottle with plastic lid and fill with water, wait for 24 hours and scoop a tabelspoon of salty water into my water bottle.

All I drink is water but u are absolutely right Barbara!! If I drink too much at once or during the day, It runs right through me. Everyone used to tell me (when i first cut out all other beverages and switched to just water) that my body wld adjust eventually and I wld stop running to the bathroom but it never did so I will definitely try the salt crystal tip before each glass to see if that helps. I will also get rid of my table salt lol😂
Thank u 🙏 Barbara- u are doing a Great service educating us on your videos. I am very grateful 😇 😊

Thank you so much Dr. O’Neill! I learned a lot. It is so useful to see your physiology explanation & illustrations to better understand the body’s mechanism & mineral interactions. Was just diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism & was told to sprinkle iodized table salt. And 50 mg levothyroxine. I got headaches and red & itchy rash on my legs.Reported the symptoms yet was told to keep taking Rx & get TSH re-tested in 6 weeks. My other two thyroid tests were normal, the TPO & T4 or T3. I am always thirsty & fatigued even though I drink water. Will buy Celtic salt & follow your helpful recommendations. Was reading how selenium, B12 & ashwagandha may help if I can wean off the Rx. I also read how this old Rx levothyroxine which is widely prescribed in US can cause a decrease in bone mass density. And I have osteoporosis. I just want to cure my body naturally. Thank you so much again for doing this channel!

From a French doctor’s newsletter about Celtic salt:
While it may be considered a healthier alternative to conventional table salt, this sea salt still contains mostly sodium. This can be problematic for people with high blood pressure who need to watch their sodium intake. This condition can lead to cardiovascular disease. Excessive sodium intake can also be problematic for people with kidney disease and can contribute to water retention, especially in the legs. Celtic sea salt contains over 80 minerals and trace elements, some of which are rare, including:
    - 52.0 - 59.0% chloride
    - 32.6 - 37.0% sodium
    - 0.90 - 2.21% sulphur (important for detoxification processes)
    - 0.30 - 0.78% magnesium
    - 0.09 - 0.25% potassium
    - 0.19 - 0.40% calcium
    - 0.20 - 0.90% manganese
    - and minimal but important amounts of silicon, carbon, iron, strontium, zinc, erbium, tin, cerium, fluorine, rubidium, gallium, boron, bromine and many others.

But we're Not supposed to be ingesting spoonfuls of it! Did you ever read the Healthy Choice soup can label -never bought it again🙄😬😳! I use Himalayan salt because it's easier to get, but only a few crystals are necessary to fulfill their need. I also put some in water for a mouth wash and spit it out of course. It will be absorbed through the roof of your mouth to help with sinus issues (didn't hear this from Ms. O'Neill).

I must have used too much Celtics salt. I used a tiny amount on my tongue each glass of water. After about 1 week I took my blood pressure and it was 139 over 105, 105 is too high. I have never had high blood pressure in my life, I'm 78, it's always been low or normal. So I am backing off for a while and will try again but use less salt.
