thanks so much for all your support folks, hope you enjoyed the video, coming up in the next few weeks we have part 2 of the 'nearest stars' let's talk series, and also a video on the 'big ship' star - but I'll keep you folks in suspense as to which it is for now.. all the best folks
Absolutely awesome video, man. I like these longer feature videos you've been putting out and I'd love to see one on Naos or Mizar. Your videos on stars are the best on RUclips since everyone else focuses on nebula and black holes, which is stuff I can't really observe from home and I feel gets overlooked by other astronomy RUclipsrs.
And Eta Carinae the UV laser star is 100 times more luminous! It also undergoes periods where its brightness increases a further factor of ten and was the second brightest star in the sky in 1843, outshining Rigel despite being 7500 ly away.
what can I say, thanks so much amigo, so generous and our channel's very first superchat!! now just have to work out how to access it 😁😁😁😁 so honoured ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
👍👍👍Thank you for half an hour of Rigel, a beautiful star in the midwinter sky here slowly on its way to a spectcular fireworks show, but not in our lifetime... soo depressing☹ just now that we have all those great telescopes to observe it.. but even without fireworks it is fascinating stuff, thanks again amigo!!
most welcome Henk, I reckon we'd miss Rigel if it did go boom though? yeah sure we'd get an amazing fireworks display like the Earth has never seen before.. but.. yeah actually maybe your right 😁😁😁😁
Have you seen the feature length Sun video? You might like that one too. At some point in next few months planning a Sirius one too!.. all the best amigo

thanks so much, means a lot buddy! keep tuned, Naos video is imminent!
Unfortunately, Rigel, as well as Betelgeuse, is condenmed to become an explosive supernova in millions or billions or even trillions of years!
aye.. seems inevitable we're going to miss the old blue twinkle in the sky.. when it finially goes boom!

yeah man what a monster.. makes me think we should have a video on it! all the best my friend
My favorite star in my favorite constellation. Tau Orionis is another interesting star
Yay! Another Rigel vid! Giving via RUclips instead of buying coffees, hope that's as advantageous for you.
