Yes! He seemed to actually feel the dark underside of life. Devil worshipping, warped creatures living in darkness. Love it! ❤

Wow, it sounds like Lovecraft's biggest fear was foreigners. I mean, is it just me or does this story come across as a bit xenophobic?

I think Lovecraft was afraid of just about everything. Poor guy was truly haunted.
