I’m a NICU nurse. I’ve taken care of BABIES (yes, as in little person) born at 23 weeks gestation. It pains me in my heart to hear a medical professional describe the baby as “pieces”. They have personality even at that age and size. Shame. Shame on all of us for allowing this to happen. This is first degree murder.tThis is PURE EVIL.

I remember when my sister gave birth, there was this woman in the same room she had to be rushed into labor at 23 weeks, her tiny baby remained in the hospital , he was kept in the incubator for the remaining time until he finally went home, 23 or 24 weeks is a viable baby.

My sister went into labor at 19 weeks, they were able to stop labor but her water broke at 23 weeks. She was in the hospital the whole time and one Dr actually told her that if the baby was born there would be nothing they could due and that it was called a natural abortion because her body was rejecting the baby... LIES!! Another Dr that she requested (which caused a major uproar) was finally allowed in to see her 2 days before her water broke. That Dr gave her steroid injections to help develop babys lungs. When he was born he was barely 1 pound, But he did take several breaths on his own right after delivery, he was rushed to the NICU and put on several machines, He did have a bipap to help force air into his lungs but he did great!! He is now 25 years old!!

One twin died right after birth, but my daughter survived and thrived. Thanks for doing what you do for preemies. You're right; this is horrific to even think about. I can't fathom this.

This is so disturbing. What really bothers me is that a lot of pro-choice arguments are that the baby isn't really a life. But even the doctors say things like death and say that it has a heartbeat. This just proves that these doctors know that what they're aborting is alive.

No it's not, it's the most common 1st and 2nd trimester procedure. Late term abortion is where the baby is birthed live, body is fully out with neck exposed then the "doctor" stabs it in the neck dislocating the spine from the brain and sucks the brain of the fully termed baby out. I made the horrible mistake of watching a video on 1st, 2nd and late term abortion procedures "on RUclips" a few years ago. Worst thing I've ever seen in LIFE. Even if they don't pull it apart out of the womb, they do another "early" procedure with saline and burn the baby alive. It should burn the "host" carrying it alive inside out in the process. When I was in high school in the '60s, taking a driving class, we were all shown death scenes in auto accidents, the worst part, so we would really understand what drinking and driving, speeding, etc. can do to the bodies of drivers and passengers. It was all part of the class, we were advised we could leave if we were going to throw up or whatever, but most students made it through. Perhaps that is the right age to show students what an abortion really looks like, because it appears a lot of women have no clue what the fetus looks like at certain stages, what happens when they are injected with chemicals, what happens when the pieces/parts are pulled out, what happens to the remains. Let's educate the young people, right? They need to know this so they can make informed decisions about birth control.
The women might not make the choice if the men are in the picture. I do think students should see that stuff though.

I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant. I can feel her moving the joy I get to be able to feel her kick and punch and wiggle. Even feeling when she gets hiccups. Unfortunately I have a weak cervix so I had to get a emergency cerclage to see if that helps me carry my baby in longer. I cried when they told me the complications she might have if my baby is born early. Just the thought that anyone can get rid of their baby late term is unimaginable. I see her in ultrasounds and she is literally a tiny little human being moving around. I saw her yawn and I even have one of her where it looks like she is smiling. I don't know, but the feeling of carrying a child and the bond a mother to be gets from the whole experience is beautiful and hard to put into words. This made me cry so much.

I saw a video of a baby that had been born after a botched abortion. The baby laid and cried for an hour before it died. No one tried to comfort it or do anything for it. Anyone that can do that is is an inhuman monster. And any mother that wants to abort a child in my opinion is not in their right mind. If you don't want a baby don't get pregnant. Use birth control. Yes there is. Can't recall what specific law it is, but someone can leave a baby at a police station, fire station, hospital, probably a few other designated places and they won't be hounded down. However, the mantra nowadays is that it's 'not right' for a woman who didn't want to get pregnant to have to go through with it and is better for HER to abort it. Leaving out the fact that there are resources, pregnancy centers, etc who are willing to work with her in finding choices that will help her recover and make sure the baby will grow up in a safe home either by offering supplies or job prospects, or working with adoption agencies to find a proper home for the baby.

Beyond about 24 weeks, that baby would be delivered and given a chance to live. Plus it takes more than a day to dilate a woman's cervix artificially, if the mother is in real distress (pre-eclampsia) there is no time for all that, the baby has to be delivered. Every teenager should be well informed about abortion at school. Sadly, it's the thin end of the wedge when we push contraception at people constantly and tell them having sex is a great idea.
