End section of the song was spliced with a different take, from about 6:50 to the end.
I'm almost deaf to trebles thanks to a degenerative hearing condition. I was used to not hearing bips and other annoying sounds anymore. As i couldn't understand my wife clearly (she has a high pitch voice), i bought hearing aids and was sceptical. Then i heard Neurosis on a playlist in my car. And i heard the cymbals for the first time in years because of Jason Roeder technique on it. I didn't know how mucj i missed that sound. Since then, i train to recognise more sound from other drummers. But thanks to that kind of drums only videos, it makes it easier for me to train my hears. So thank you, Jason Roeder.
The only time I ever got to see Neurosis live was when you played here in Louisville back in 2014. So I saw this title and did a double take heh. My daughter was the 9 year old in the front row headbanging her way thru the set for her first concert. :)
These videos are great, seeing the songs from a different angle for sure.
Wow man, so much feeling and emotion. You can almost feel it through the screen. Solid. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing this!! Keep 'em coming! 🙏

hey jason, any chance you have images of recording The Sciences?
My band recorded in Kentucky primarily because of the sounds of Eye of Every Storm. Were those guys doing scratch tracks or did you do the whole thing live?
Drums, guitars bass and keys all live.
Wait, recorded at Electrical Audio, May 25th, 2014. I thought you guys wrote and recorded that album in like a week in late 2015 or am I mistaken?
edit: yeah this can't be may 25th, 2014. I saw you guys live that year on the 1st of july and you had long hair
Yeah wtf? Not sure where that date came from. Corrected.
What's the dampening on the snare?
Remo Emperor X batter head with about 4" of gaff tape at 12 o'clock.
@@jason_roeder wow thank you for the reply! It's an honor! Snare sounds amazing! Are you using the vic firth multi tenors Ralph sticks?
