  • Join Jay as he takes you through a step by step guid on how to ride over cracks on a Snakeboard. The Snakeboard Comp & The Snakeboard Pro come with super soft big wheels which will help you roll over most cracks.
However sometimes they need a little help from the rider.
There are three key steps to navigating cracks:
    1. Spotting and preparing: You will not be able to prepare for a crack if you have not seen it. So always be on the lookout around 2 metres ahead of you for any potential cracks.
    2. Speed: The slower you go, the less momentum you will have, making it easier to trip up. So make sur eyou have enough speed to help you roll over the crack.
    3. Weight distribution; You want the majority of your weight on your back foot. It will be your front wheels catching in the crack that will trip you up. lean onto your back font and almost push the board from behind.

Just started watching your vids and yes I has just subscribed, awesome content my friend. I had one of the original snakeboards when they first came out and have just purchased another original 90’s board I’m now 41 and still have those snake hips. It’s like I never stopped. Love it.

I also try to approach it with a bit of an angle if I can if I have too little speed. Great tip man! Would love some powerslide tutorial with the Comp 2.0, without Toe Hooks/Bindings my sliding foot slides off 🙈
