- I've been a fan of Perc'ahlia (Percy/Vex, Bad News Bears, Hunter's Hex, whatever you want to call it) since I started watching the show, and I thought it was about time I gave something to the community.
So, here: have one hour and six minutes of Perc'ahlia, arranged in chronological order. (I may have also subtitled some of my favourite parts. I will not apologise.)
This is in no way an exhaustive list. I might even end up doing a bonus video using clips I forgot to include here or just didn't feel like including.

I like to think that Vax/Keyleth is a freshman year couple, sweet, hesitant and pure. While Vex/Percy is a senior year couple, bad choices, sex in weird places and DANGERZOOOONE!

I know what you mean, but I’ve never really understood the « pure Vaxleth//~bad Percah’lia » dichotomy in the fandom, tbh? If anything, Vax and Kiki were super masochistic for a ridiculously long time (not that circumstances helped, obviously), whereas Vex and Percy started acting like a happily married couple as soon as they got together. And they also started making much better decisions than they used to : Tal said that Percy only allowed himself to think about getting with Vex once he was healthy enough for it, and it’s pretty obvious in how they play it that the romance happened because they were both in a good enough place (helping each other learn how to forgive, etc). Sure, they like to bang and have fun, but there’s nothing wrong with that, and the relationship in itself has always seemed mature, supportive, and honest from the moment it became canon, in my eyes.
Whole-heartedly agree. Vaxleth seems like a couple of 15 year olds who have never been in love before and are relying on each other for emotional support. So there's unnecessary angsty drama and much forlorn gazing.
Whereas Perc'ahlia feels more like a *real*, grown-up relationship between two people who have truly found each other. Seems much healthier.

truly have never gotten over the little game of nods between Taliesin, Matt and Travis (although he was less nodding and more trying not to scream in glee) that happened before Percy kissed Vex. Would love to be a fly on the wall for whatever conversation happened there previously

Late comer to the fandom, I love how Taliesin and Marisha play their characters like they share one brain cell between them at times. It’s why they both fell for the twins.
This ship is so genuine like you could see the progression of Vex's affection towards Percy, and it's the smallest things and it took his death for her to finally realize it all.
It took his death for her to confess, but she realized way earlier. Even Vax picked it up, and her response to Sandor was referring to it. That's what she was calling back to on his resurrection when she said "it's yours".
Vex gave Percy the love he NEEDED, allowed him to FEEL again and brought him out of his darkness
Matthew Mercer does many outstanding NPC voices (Victor, Zorth), but his portrayals of Trinket may be his greatest performances.

RIGHT?!? I went back to watch the oneshots after watching a good bit of C2 and it was ridiculous, how much I missed Matt making sad/grumpy bear noises.

31:38 This is one moment that I feel really shows off Matt's experience as a DM. Rather than tell him what Vex looks like, Matthew reminds Taliesin that it comes down to what Percy thinks by giving just enough information for him to take over, and happily sits back to let the fantastic role playing unfold. He lets his players come to the conclusions that they realistically would, rather than guess and tell, giving us moments like these.

Travis has been on a JOURNEY. The man starts out not wanting romance in his D&D, then becomes the biggest Vex and Percy shipper, then has a reluctant romance with his wife in campaign 2, to now being the horniest character in campaign 3.

The only moment I can recall Sam ever openly crying in their game(s) is after his 9th level counterspell against Vecna and apologizing to Liam (and Liam saying “don’t be sorry. I love you 😢 “)

3:50, 4:00, 59:36, Sure, people call him "No Mercy Percy", but this arc showed how much pain and insecurity is behind that cruelty and how in the future, it is repurposed towards protecting what he still has.
This is amazing (THANK YOU SPARROWS) and very long, which is wonderful, but I just wanted to cite a few of my favorite moments:
18:22-18:50- Percy being adorably worried about Vex flying
22:41- Liam's little side comment on Percy going outside with Vex ("I'm sure you have")
24:36-25:56- Vax giving Vex a "be careful" talk about Percy
35:20- Lady Vex'ahlia aka Percy's mike drop
52:23-54:34- Vex's speech to bring Percy back (especially Sam crying at 53:50 and NAT 20 AT 54:22!)
1:03:44- everyone's faces (ESPECIALLY TRAVIS!!!)
1:04:06- "And I kiss her" (Laura and Travis and their reactions and its all too much)

I STG this was the biggest reason Travis gained the confidence to go through with a romance. Not because someone was romancing his wife, but because everyone, including himself loved it so much.
It didn't occur to me at the time, but the thing with Lady Vex'ahlia shows up Taliesin's and/or Perival's brilliance.
First: "You won't earn their respect by showing them you have money now."
Next session: "Hey, your daughter is a lady, show some respect."

When I originally got through campaign 1, I listened to most of it as a podcast and I kind of missed all the signs of Percy and Vex becoming a thing until it happened...but when you lay it all out like this it was really subtle and I really love that honestly

You know when watching the series I felt that Kiki and Percy might be a thing, it never hit me that it would be Percy and Vex. But you know I've adored it since it happened.
Keyleth and Percy actually would have been the better, long-term relationship. They acted like the comfortable old married couple! They hung out, spent time together, helped make stuff, etc. Vex pretty much liked that Percy made her stuff...😅

@@KickyFut To me it was always clear that they should have a beautiful, supportive friendship of opposites. They complement one another, that's true, but I never really saw them as a couple. I could have seen Keyleth crushing on him, but not the other way around. I also don't think Percy could have chosen anyone but Vex, because while the group in general is very supportive of one another, no one could bring out the best and most mature form of him the way Vex did, and vice-versa. She was the one who repeatedly pulled him from the brink and kept him from losing his composure, most notably in the Briarwood arc, but also many times later. Keyleth and Percy are very cute, but I personally couldn't see them as more than friends and they don't really have that much potential for growth and self-improvement the way Vex and Percy do. But that's just my two cents, feel free to disagree^^

In Whitestone she's consistently the only character who really checks and looks deeply to see how he's doing. Consequently, she's the only one who can get through to him when Orthax takes over. She always knows exactly where he is during battles. Before the fight with Vorugal she goes back like 5 times to make sure his sniper perch is hidden from sight. And these are just moments off the top of my head - there are definitely more. Yes, she loves that he makes her shiny things, but *he loves to do it* He enjoys it, he enjoys how happy she gets, he always has. I love Percy and Keyleth's friendship, but Taliesin and Marisha never made any references to romantic feelings or gave off the kind of vibes with their characters the way that he and Laura did. Best friends do not always equal a wonderful romantic relationship. Every one of these comments reads like you're condemning Vex/Laura bc she's greedy or shallow which is so far from the truth I wonder if we watched the same show. Yes, she loves gold, treasure and all that, but so do ALL of them. I mean, who doesn't? Doesn't make her shallow. It's a shame you can't appreciate the skill, heart, and subtlety that went into building the Vex/Percy relationship. It's a masterclass in character building from two wonderful actors/players.
