IN 2019, most polling stations in my town had EVM functioning problems and it was happening all over AP. Many voters returned in the morning and went back to vote at 4 P.M. Some places polling went on till 9P.M because of this. My whole family did not get any VVPAT facility and the result is a megalomaniac for CM.

In Civil Appeal No. 9093 of 2013 ( Dr Subramanian Swamy V/s CEC of India), the apex Court Comprised with the then CJI Justice P Sathashivam sitting with Justice Ranjan Gogoi, vide it's order dated 08.10.2013 directed the CEC to introduce VVPAT machines with each and every EVM but unfortunately the order was not complied with by the then Central Govt. led by Dr Manmohan Singh Saheb. In USA all elections are conducted through Ballot paper , only in one day. US has 330 million population (33 Cr.) in 50 states . The Ballot paper is made of thick paper, printed and of big size like 7.5”x 14” app . Why not India adopt the similar type of procedure to make fair and square election for People of India . It appears that Indian Courts are under great pressure from ruling party and stay in the middle and use delay tactics . Since now the Election has already started from April 19 hence the paper trail (slip) should be given to the voters to verify and put the the same in the ballot box .
