These are brilliant! Just made them with the exact ingredients only swapping the cookie pb with regular pb powder, and used 80%casein/20%whey ratio and came Incredible. These are low cal.but you literally risk eating the whole batch as Soon as they set..
First time I made them with vegan protein powder instead of caseins but came out too cakey so I definitely advise to use caseine as he points out.

I've made these twice. Neither time came out cookie texture. First time I used whey and second time I used casein. Both times used pb fit instead of cookie butter. But I love them so much. They taste just like normal cookies. Just pancake texture. Since I been addicted to chocolate chip cookies, this is a life saver recipe. I gotta try a cinnamon roll next which is the other thing I crave every day. Both tasted exactly the same but recommended using 60 grams instead of 30 . Worth the extra 140 calories if you have it

Despite the bad reviews I decided to give them a try (with necessary twists) and they came out delicious!
    My changes were:
-whole wheat flour instead of ap
    - pb powder instead of cookie butter
    - used a protein blend
    - had no almond flour so I divided the grams of it equally into more coconut and whole wheat flour
Batter was very sticky so I could not flatten them out (made them into mini balls)
Baked for 5 min and a half exactly and came out very spongy. After 15 min or cooling down they sank. Tasted like pb cookies, texture was soft and slightly undercooked in the middle. Would definitely repeat :)

here y'all. wanted to share this too on the cookies i make, with stuff you can find at home.
actually i did the math when i made these and depending on what you use theyre actually 60cals each, but they taste amazing. if you replace the veggie oil for applesauce theyre only 50 each. heres my math
    2tbsp butter - 200cals
    2tbsp veggie oil - 240cals (or 2tbsp applesauce - 20cals)
    1/2c light brown sugar - 360cals
    1tsp vanilla extract - 12cals
    1/8tsp salt - 0cals
    1 egg white - 17cals
    3/4c all purpose flour - 350cals
    1/4tsp baking soda - 0cals
    1/4c chocolate chips - 200cals
    total: 1379cals (1159cals w applesauce) ÷ 24 =
    57.45cals ea (or 48.29cals ea w applesauce)

I always wondered, why mix so many different types of flours together

  • @BlackoutBilll21
    @BlackoutBilll21 2 года назад

Ok I have NO idea how I screwed up this the first time… here is my 2 cents… weigh your ingredients EXACTLY! Also.. he said medium scooper… my medium scooper made 11 not 18 so mine were a little big… if your 4 minutes isn’t enough check the size of your cookies! Also… LET THEM SIT!! Once they flatten out … AMAZING! My second batch, I used the pb fit… absolutely perfect. Because mine were bigger I had to do 6 minutes… but gooey in the center. So good! Best cookie recipe by far

I was at my grocery store today looking for the different flours and literally all we had was all-purpose and whole-wheat haha. Sometimes living in Canada sucks trying to get all the options for things. Like sugar free chocolate syrup? Never seen it. A lot of the sugar-free syrups... no luck. Luckily we have Walden Farms!

    • @danielwilkie631

I'm not sure where you looked for the flours, but the coconut flour and almond flour would likely be separate from the regular all purpose flours, as they're gluten free. They usually come in much smaller packages. If you live near a costco, they frequently have decently sized bags of almond flour as well. I also had difficulty finding sugar free maple syrup so I ended up just going with a "Light sugar" version of maple syrup from my local grocery store
