A kid isn't a catch-all for relatives' money. The kid isn't being "punished." he just isn't being offered the same things due to his parents' choices. Your relatives dont have to like you, support you, pay for you, give your kids money when you die, or leave all their stuff to you because you fell from the same DNA tree. You wanted a supportive family for your kid? Guess you should have been supportive to your FAMILY first.
You don't inherit debt, so there's no debt to settle. Lenders may trust their best to demand their money back, but you're not legally required to give them shit.

All grandma did was stand by the injured parties, disown her cheating son, decide not to have a relationship with his other kid (which would cause indifference toward that kid since there's no emotional connection), and choose to leave HER MONEY to the grandchild she actually does know and loves. I have plenty of relatives that I've never met in my life. I don't love them, don't hate them, don't feel anything for them at all. They're strangers, which is exactly what the love child was to her, a complete stranger

Maybe the MIL should put something aside for the son second child. The child had nothing to do with the situation and if it's her son's child he deserves as much as the OP's child. Making a child pay for a bad parent isn't a decision is a wise adult.
