  • Yall there were so many plants going into this McDonald’s landscape in Marion Virginia! We were called in to fix this landscape after all the plants had unfortunately sided over the winter months. Thankfully we were able to come in and get everything cleaned up and looking good for the new 2024 Spring Season!

    Hi from Australia to you both.
    Can you do a revisit to the site for a follow up in late spring and middle of summer if you have the time?
    Do Maccas ( Corporate Management) have any specific plants that they require to be planted in each location?
    The work area is a very beautiful district (scenery wise) to work in, you are both blessed .

    The landscape definitely looked bland and empty, you guys have made it look so much better, awesome job as always 👍
    I'm really glad for you both that you are going to have that extra job security by doing more of these landscapes for McDonald's.
    Another awesome vid guys,

      It was very scenic and enjoyable to drive through the mountains this time of year it seemed very peaceful. It really was a blessing for them to call us in to these out of state locations. They help us out with travel expenses and pay us well once the job is finished!
      Thank you so much we tried to come up with a good pattern for the plants and ended up taking a little longer than we thought to design a landscape but I am so glad you thought it worked out well!

    I felt exactly how you all are feeling right now. You’re very grateful for all the support you’re getting and so you want to personally communicate with each and every person. My wife warned me about this and I didn’t know how to accept that when you grow unless you have hired people, it would be very hard to respond to everyone. Trust me I am glad viewers understand that and they don’t take it to heart. So get ready because when you have 600 or 2000 etc. etc. comments you are you gonna know what I mean? Stay encourage, and your true followers will understand and be right there for you through the thick and thin.

    I Think my recomendation would be that if you are doing residential or commerical landscape work to plant all those plants including the big ones. than I recomend the stihl bt45 earth augar drill as well as their bigger one the stihl bt131earth augar as well as the stihl km mini cultivator plus the stihl yard boss prices for everything bt45 $529.99 bt131 $759.99 km mini cultivator $209.99 yard boss $429.99 with mm wheel kit $485.99 I would highly recomend these machines if you have a lot of landscape jobs to do. plus they save your back especially on big landscape jobs like what you got going on their. anyway guys hope this helps once again? and somthing to note Augars and bits sold separately for both augar drills.

    That's a sad looking landscape, oowee. I wonder if a cold spell took those plants out.
    😂 I thought you said 125 bucks for all of those plants 🤯 but no, it was 125 plants.
    I love shrub removals where you can pull them right out of the ground. I once priced a small arborvitae removal, and turns out all I had to do was push them over, and rock them back and forth a little 😂
    Did you guys stay in a hotel in between? How far was that from your house?
    Well, I wish I had time to watch the whole thing ( I watched 3/4; so far it looks good ), but now that it's not raining out, I have to swap a water pump on my 97 because the 14 is having deep engine problems, so I'd rather just give her to the people who can do it ten times faster than I can. New lifters and maybe/probably a new cam 🙄💸💸💸 It's been trying times lately 🙏🙏🏽
    Ahh....the wrong fabric is also the culprit. No wonder Harley was having a time cutting that one spot with the shovel.
    And I don't know if I mentioned in another video, but a coupla days ago I've become a blade edger user 🙄😂 mainly because I HOPE my inexperienced help can have a better chance at making nice lawn edges, than with a string trimmer 😵‍💫... it's cool, but as I've said for years, it's dirty. And I'm just faster and cleaner ( sort of 😂 ) with my string trimmer.
    By the time I finished this comment, the video is almost done now 🙄😂 ⏳️

      I think they may have froze during the winter.
      It would have been great to get that many plants for $125 dollars lol but it turned out to be more than we were expecting.
      I totally agree about the easy shrub removal it’s usually easiest if it was planted the year before and that’s always a good time for replanting!
      We did stay in a hotel and thankfully McDonald’s covers our travels expenses! It was about 2-2.5 hours one way.

    • @aandblawncare2017
      @aandblawncare2017  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for watching our videos it really means a lot to us!
      We hope your trucks start doing better for you soon!👍 engine work ain’t easy that’s for sure. Lord willing it’ll come around for you this season.
      That fabric was no joke when it came to trying to dig through it and I think I that is was killed the plants. It wouldn’t allow the water to drain so the whole landscape became a frozen pond lol.
      We also have a couple blade edgers but haven’t used them in a while. Non of our customers have ever asked about edging but we used to do it sometimes (not claiming to be any good at it lol) we may start offering it again in some of our yards I do think it would make it look a lot sharper.

    • @aandblawncare2017

      @@aandblawncare2017 You know I do what I can to support yous, even though the season is pretty much in full swing, and once the rain clears out ( it's been a soupy and chilly coupla days ...last week too ), I'm gonna be back to beastmode. You two are lights on a hill, and quality people -- on RUclips and in the world -- so keep on being a Blessing to people, no matter what you do, or whatever adversities you encounter 🙏💪🏽❤️‍🔥✝️💜
      🙄 Unfortunately the mech thinks the '14 needs a whole new engine 💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸 🤯🤯🤯 so I'm stuck in the 97 for now 😮‍💨 She's not in great shape, but she's still a 3/4 ton that can pull, and better than nothing or renting a uhaul.....and thankfully I did put in a decent little system with an amp and 2x10 cab, back when I was driving her regularly, so I get to drive around in ridiculously excessive bass again, no matter what genre of music it is 😂
      And yes, edging up properties ( where applicable ) is that extra bit of detail that raises the look of the property and level of our work to top tier. I have a ton of mulch to do yet ( especially since I lost time with rain and the truck issues ), but I'm looking forward to when mowing is really rocking.

    Do you pay for the plants out of pocket then have customers pay you trying to figure out how it works

    • @aandblawncare2017
      @aandblawncare2017  5 месяцев назад

      It just depends on how big the job or the clients situation. For a smaller residential property we may purchase materials upfront and then do the job and have the customer pay for materials and labor at the end…However this can be risky with new customers so I would advise getting material costs up front and then getting paid for labor after the job is done.
      For this commercial client we have an arrangement where we have materials paid for as we need them and then paid for labor after the jobs are completed.
