#1. Your daughter is absolutely adorable. #2. As someone who was mercilessly teased for being a dreamer his entire life, thank you for what you said. #3. You inspire me. #4 Be true to yourself! #5 Have fun!
Thank you for this comment. I have been a dreamer my entire life too, and it has often made things difficult for me. Being true to yourself is so important. It took me a long time to realize that if you stay true to yourself, you start connecting with likeminded people and you don't feel like such a weirdo. I spent way too long being in my own head.
Great that you follow your dreams... I'm sorry for your lost of Paul but you are right about that what you do today is important when your old. Have a safe trip
I’m glad I found you because you and me have something in common and that is adventure. When I was younger I traveled to places like New York, Florida, Colorado, Utah and Hawaii all by myself. I’m glad I found someone who thinks the same way as I do. I will be watching more of your videos. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.
Yes, it's okay to not be practical aaallll the time :) I love and appreciate your articulate introspection. Good for you digging deep to restructure your life to allow for adventures and dreams. No easy task as a single mom. Have fun... be safe. Happy travels.
Awesome video. I can certainly relate with being a dreamer, and just going for it. This Sunday I leave Oceanside California and heading to Kodiak Alaska. It's certainly going to be an adventurous road trip. Thanks for sharing the adventures. Many blessings to you and your amazing daughter.
Hey Lidia I tripped on your site recently and I am now backtracking your episodes. Very impressed! I am looking forward to following you in new adventures to come! I know it will be challenging as a single mother but I wish you all success in your future endeavors.
Is that a honeycomb shaped like Texas hanging on your mirror? I applaud you Lidia! I am 70 years young and still go on adventures! Last one was March 2023 to Big Bend National Park to see the tallest bluebonnets in the world! My friend and I also discovered DARK SKIES. The area is one of the darkest skies in the world. If you go, stay at the Marathon Motel. They have huge telescopes for their guests to view galaxies other than our own plus the planets and constellations. A grand adventure! P.S. I'm a retired TX teacher still learning~
It's a Texas-shaped air freshener made out of wax and essential oils (honeycomb colored but not made out of real honeycomb). Big Bend is on my list! I would love to visit. Thanks for the tip! What did you teach?
I would love to drive from Key West to the top of northern Alaska some day. But first I plan to get a mason jar, fill it half full of water from the Atlantic in Jacksonville Beach, and then drive to Cannon Beach OR and fill the other half with seawater from the Pacific.
Working and traveling is definitely a balancing act. I have days where I just stay in a hotel room or coffee shop all day and work. Sometimes I do that for several days, then I'll spend the next several days unplugged from work so I can have a chance to explore. I schedule long driving days on days I don't have to work. It can be exhausting, but it's worth it to me. My workload was heavy for the first half of the summer, but I was able to take a break the second half of the summer so traveling around was much easier during that time.
Continue to live the dream! A new dream of mine I started last year is to buy cars in the Southern US and drive back here in Canada to resell and make just enough money to pay for the road trip. If you're looking for a travel partner, let me know :)

Thank you! ❤️
About how much you spend in gas?
If you teach on line for income to travel, how do you do that while traveling through AK?
