I just had a thought, 320lb load limit. Would that support a bed rack mounted tent and people sleeping in it? I myself weigh 150 not to mention the weight of the tent and the other people.
Nice job! For that additional brace, no way to put a spacer on the tire mount to allow for the brace to go in place?? You should really reinforce that corner if you are going to mount the tent up there... I am also looking for a bed rack for my Bison... but I need something that would allow me to have a tonneau cover... nothing works with the tonneau cover that I have now... so I know already that I will need to get a new tonneau cover with whatever new rack I get. Keep up the great work and keep those videos coming!
Hey Jamie. Yeah there’s no way to space that spare tire carrier. If you go back and watch the install video about it there are holes drilled in the side and floor of the bed. So best case scenario, Chris would’ve chosen another spare tire solution. But if you look at other bed racks, many don’t have those braces. CBI really overbuilt this thing and it doesn’t feel flimsy at all in person. I’d just suggest that Chris keep the rack load well under that 320 lb limit. But you’re right that it would be better if both braces were there.
@@JasonExplainsThings I just watched that episode... no kidding... that is one permanent install!! Wow. Thanks to you guys I also got the Midland MXT275 radio and 3dB antenna...
I was rewatching this. I wonder if cutting off the 2 pieces that go along the inside of the bed walls and drill holes to bolt the sides to the bed, would that allow me to place the GatorTrax MX electric tonneau cover? I could place plates under the bed wall where the washers and nuts will go. I can bolt it on the top part of the bed wall (not sure if that’s what it’s called) on various areas to keep it sturdy.
Yeah sorry, I just checked myself and can’t find them. I know they’ve been working on their website. I’d reach out to them directly. If I remember correctly I think we did cover most steps in our video… based on their instructions.
Not a fan of that rack and how it looks. I personally would've went with an enclosed bed cap to keep the weather and strangers off my gear. Still a good video.👍
Racks are super subjective, I get it! Some like bigger ones, some like smaller ones. Some like to have them with full coverage, some like them a bit more exposed. Wait, what were we talking about again...?
Best introduction as an ambassador yet! Great video guys love it.
Woah! Many thanks. Making fun but helpful how-to videos is what I love to do. 🤘

CBI OFFROAD makes quality stuff, and the best looking in my opinion.
Can’t wait to do the 4Runner bumper!
Well thank you!
Before you install the Prinsu roof rack from CBI - I’d suggest watching my installation video. Hope it helps!!
Now i just need one for a Holden colorado. Looks fantastic 👌
Great job guys turned out great!
That first no going back cut is the scariest. I look forward to the winch bumper and snorkel install videos. :)
The snorkel was terrifying and it wasn’t even mine! 😅
Dude.... Dude.
Oh lord the “Alan” JP joke seriously caught me off guard lmao
The raptor saying Alan! got me everytime 😂
Nice job, guys!
Thanks! It was nice to do an easy install for a change.
Definitely easier than a snorkel! :-)
@@JasonExplainsThings Say it ain't so!
You guys are the cheesiest bunch and I love it!
Looks good, only thing I would personally change is mount the roto Pax fuel on the drivers side where your gas tank already is on the truck.
HA! We agree! That's what I said.
So here's the thing. I actually tried that the next day and the cans were very distracting in the driver's mirror, lol. But that's just me.
@@PNW_Bison fair enough to each their own, it’s just for convenience that’s all. It looks great anyways!!
Great video
That was an easy install and it looks great
It’s a little tricky to figure out the clamps the first time, but everything else goes smoothly.
I like it 👍😁
Man, you guys are making me want a shop in North Virginia lol.
Catching up on the Rado vids. Good stuff.
Awesome, thanks man. Appreciate you enjoying them. Getting exposure has been tough lately.
I finally gave up on having a bed rack as well as a tonneau cover. This is the bed rack I’m going to buy. I’m done with my research.
It’s nice of Chris not to slap Jason while the camera is rolling
🥺
Why not attach one of the top crossbars to both sides, then attach the side rails?

320lbs weight capacity is pretty weak. How is that going to support a roof top tent with someone sleeping in it or a couple sleeping in it?
That is an in motion limit. Static weight limit is much higher.
