I always have a hard time decluttering toys because some of them can be so expensive and I never know what they’re going to want to play with again and/or what to save for my future kids . I am pretty minimal in general but it’s still a struggle! I am looking forward to watching this 😄
I went through a minimalist moment and decluttered a bunch of toys that I regret now! I should have kept it and I spend good money on little people sets that I just declutter, so I wish I was more careful.
@@Montessori_Motherhood I’ve done that before too! :( I have one shelf (the same metal ones Kayla does) in our storage room for toys, but thinking of adding one more to store some more on so I can bring them out at times. I am pregnant with my 4th so i still want to keep things for the future like Kayla does. I don’t have even a quarter of the toys that she does lol but still want to keep mine organized.
Keep things for when your kids have kids. My mom did this and my daughter LOVES to play with the things I played with as a kid. She's actually more careful (not losing them, not throwing them, etc) with the toys that I had as a kid. My mom kept mostly dolls, barbies, and a few board games.
We use the same shelves for our toy rotation! Hack: buy another shelf and depending on your needs add the tiers to the shelves you already have set up there. Saves so much space compared to adding another shelf (which you don't really need in this big basement but maybe others who read this - we only have a 2 bedroom apartment so I needed a solution that doesn't take up lots of space). I tried so many different toy rotation systems and this one is really working for us. Like you say, I can see a lot better what the kids have, what is missing, what isn't used anymore. I also stopped doing full toy rotations since we have this system and my kids regularly grab what they want instead (3 years old and 15 months now). Then I just take some toys and put them away that they haven't played with in a while. Takes so much guesswork out and helps to identify what should stay out for them. On the upper tiers that they cannot reach, I have "special" toys that I take out when I need them occupied but that I don't want all over the place (it's usually those with LOTS of small pieces that can really occupy them for a long time). However, I do use a lot more bins on the shelves to better keep like items together. I find it easier this way to put everything away quick enough (I'm the type who doesn't put things away unless it is as easy as just dropping it 😆 ) Anyway, this toy rotation storage really transformed our very generous collection to a manageable mess. I hope it does the same for you.
I finally got to see your organization for toys, I’m gonna steal your idea- and I appreciate you showing what you had leftover to get ideas, I hope maybe you can do a haul on books/puzzles now since I’m always interested in what your kids are into to get ideas for mine
Can’t wait to see a whole garage declutter great job on the toys i love walking into my garage and be able to walk around and nit have a million things all over the floor
Great work Kayla. I bet you wish fast forward had been a real thing for you too. It takes a lot of willpower to keep going and you must have been super motivated. It looks really tidy and very inviting. I hope it works for you and helps your mental well-being. Best wishes from Australia
Wow, you did a hard work!! Looks amazing and so great and fun for the kids !! So inspiring ,its just the push what i need right now.. thanks for this video😘😘
If you do post some toys, I would be interested. We can’t catch a break these past 2 years, so Christmas is going to be tough this year! I know it’s not all about toys and things (I’m not a materialistic gal) but I do need help with entertainment during the week for my littles. Lol Good job Kayla! Looks good!❣️
Love your toy haul videos it’s very helpful and congratulations on your pregnancy was just wondering when will you do a bath toy haul or your kids favorite book haul, I have a one yr old baby boy and I just go for many ideas I find on RUclips and your videos help me out so much- plz plz make another update toy haul for us new moms
All those toys in the basement triggered me so hard for a sec for some reason😆😅 I haven’t finished the video yet, but I’m sure it’ll turn out beautiful 😊
Good job on the declutter! Have you thought of swapping out toys when you purchase? As in for every toy that’s bought, one gets donated that way the clutter stays under control.
..if u have time, make up a list for your family members for their bdays and xmas. That way they can receive toys that r a great pick.............bead sets, etc......
Would you consider donating to a family with two toddlers that was just in a house fire any toys the kids aren’t playing with the kids are 3 for the boy and 4 for the girl !
Girlfriend that’s WAY too many toys. I’ve never seen so many toys in one space, I don’t even think at the store. It’s not enough time in the world for them to play with all that stuff. I know it’s tough letting go, maybe you can do a garage sell. I love watching your videos & I like you is the only reason I’m saying anything. This gave me so much anxiety. Just consider getting rid of some of the blocks maybe & a few of the doll houses. I think 1 is plenty. Love you girlie ❤ Still friends 😘
I’m sure you already got rid of it but on our community or buy nothing page they do “flash” give where it has to gone by the same day and it’s not a whose first comments gets it the giver get to choose

Hahahaha don’t blame you 🤣🤣🤣
Looks amazing! Way to go! Kayla I loved the sweatshirt you had on at the first part of the video. Could you link it?
This was so relaxing to watch😅😂🎉 where do you keep all the new toys that you buy throughout the months?
You did so great! 😍 I don’t know why organizing toys has become one of the most satisfying things to organize as a mom. 😂
where is your accent from? love it
Good job on the declutter! Have you thought of swapping out toys when you purchase? As in for every toy that’s bought, one gets donated that way the clutter stays under control.
Good job 👏🏻
Love it!
Where did you get yourselves for your toys?
Waiting on the toy list this year lol
Toy decluttering is the best feeling!! But my 3 1/2 year old just asked “hey where’s my old talking Elmo??” I’m like ummmm 🫢
Starting of the video gave me anxiety 😀 u did a great great job
I'm in exactly the same predicament. Don't feel bad, especially since you home school. You collect a bunch more stuff, i guess.
...you have enough toys for sure to start a pre school....................
I need to know what goodwill you donate to 🤧😅
That bowl goes to the Mickey Mouse camper. I have the same one 😂
..if u have time, make up a list for your family members for their bdays and xmas. That way they can receive toys that r a great pick.............bead sets, etc......
I am not sentimental with anything… except my children’s toys for some reason 🤣
Wow. It looks like a toy store.
You dont even need to buy any new toys for christmas haha you have a lot you can just rewrap!
Would you consider donating to a family with two toddlers that was just in a house fire any toys the kids aren’t playing with the kids are 3 for the boy and 4 for the girl !
i don't understand why you need to buy a doctor set for the past 3 years for christmas🤣
