My 4 year old Altima with one of their shotty CVTs with less than 60k Kms agrees. Their reliability is gone and this is nothing like the NIssan of the 90s. I'll never get a Nissan again.
@@6193drizzle That is the sad part. The first car that I rebuilt was a Datsun 260Z. It was a great car and a great car company. Then Renault started making all of the decisions and cutting corners in 2000. There is a reason why Renault hasn't sold a car in the United States since 1985. Their Engines and Transmissions would breakdown after 35k to 45k miles. Now the exact same thing is happening to Nissan under the "leadership" of Renault.

Here in Germany not that many people wanted to buy automatic transmissions, cause they cost a lot when you configure a car or at the end buy it, they need special maintance, they are slow and they consume much more fuel than manuals.. Dual clutch transmissions solved one of these problems the CVT the other. DCTs are super fast, so they get better 0-60 times than convensional hydraulic automatic transmissions CVTs are super economical, so they get better fuel economy than convensional hydraulic automatic transmissions But the normal AT is the most reliable outta those 3.
So every time you guys pointed out that many of us watch the videos without subscribing I admit I felt a pang of guilt. So I finally subscribed. Thank you and you're welcome.

Just so you guys know the Navi-Link pro-pilots 30 second hold is so you don’t have to hit the resume button or quickly tap the throttle for up to 30 seconds where it will auto resume. Standard Pro-Pilot will automatically resume with a 3 second pause but afterwards it just holds you in place till you hit the Resume button or throttle, you won’t roll forward like the Sentra, that one has standard intelligent cruise.
This is actually a really interesting video considering that this is one of the first cars that Nissan released without the cost regulations of Carlos Ghosn... Who knows maybe Nissan will be the company that produced really loveable cars like they were in the 90's
for someone who drives a first gen Rogue Im not surprised theres weird vibrations, this drivetrain is pretty notorious for having a lot of vibrations, not surprised they haven't refined it out.
I honestly love this thing. I’d go out and buy it for my wife or for a family car but it needs a regular automatic transmission. Nissan thats all we want.
My family and I have been leasing Nissan Rogues since 2015 and we've never had negative experiences. However, I will say this, with these last two cars, there was no mechanical issues but you could tell the quality of materials was somewhat weak and - i.e. foe leather- starts to wear off after only 1 1/2 -2 yrs. The Nissan mindset seemed to be carrying the quality far enough to reach the three years of the lease. With that said, this 2021 rogue def. looks like a step in a different direction! We'll test that out when we return our 2017 to renew for a new one. As always, great video guys!!!
No shudder on my new platinum. None of the competition comes close to the quietness, ride and luxury of the new Rogue. Interior is absolutely awesome…perhaps bias is a bit much in this review.

Called the Xtrail in most countries, this SUV has been doing quite well and Nissan has stepped up their game two generations ago making it so much better. Love it but I love the Rav 4 better.
I AM A SUBSCRIBER! Any how, I am contemplating between the 2021 Nissan Rogue and the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. One thing not mentioned in this video is that the Rogue is way underpowered, especially for a 3500 pound vehicle, and especially in high altitudes where the non-turbocharged engine would starve for oxygen. On the other hand, the non-turbocharged engine is more reliable and cheaper to maintain than that of a turbo or hybrid.

Not a fan of manufacturers separating their head lights from the DRLs. Hate those Kias even more, which have their turning signals at the bottom of their bumpers.

Seriously, although I have been surprised because I have had friends with Nissan CVT’s that have failed at up to 175,000 miles and Nissan replaced them for free, crappy transmissions but at least they stick by their products sometimes...
Last year, I felt practically begged to buy a 2018 Altima with a lifetime power-train warranty. It's a comfortable, efficient, stylish package with the SR, but it's slim on features. Had I known of the extent of the CVT problems, I would've held off on the purchase to buy a Toyota Avalon, which will be my next car.
If people follow your advice, there'll never be any new things to buy. Think about it. You're literally telling companies to stop production because customers should not buy new

Turn signals should be separate from headlights due to safety reasons in my opinion but not soo drastic like kia etc
