Great review. I got the N660P to look good but I struggled with white balance and couldn't get it to look good consistently. Now I"m using an IMX317, which is pretty good, but I only need 1080p with not as wide of an angle lens.
Thank you! I’ll go with the N660P. Almost bought this one because I hate plastic but they are both mostly plastic. The N660P has a better mic too, imo.

Looks like the 940 has greater depth of field.
Your wainscoting was still in focus with it.
The logitech c920 behaves similarly cropping the scene when you change resolutions, allowing pan/tilt.
I would be interested in what obs can do with it with the various camera controls
(brightness, saturation, white-balance, etc. )
But... out of the box... factory settings... I agree that the 660 is better with your lighting set up.
In OBS, taking things out of auto, believe it or not, only gets worse, whereas with the N660P with tweaking, the picture can get a lot better.
For example, exposure control on the N940P, once you turn off auto it gets really dark, and can only get darker from there. Manual focus control is really the only thing it has going for it with the manual controls.
I should also note, the door has wainscoting, but the wall does not.
@@LowDoughTech I was wondering about that. I have both web cameras and was afraid to mess with the N660P in OBS because the N940P is just not working out for me. I get a noticeable lag too in OBS as well.
I like the newer one better. The 660 looks very dull and not vibrant at all.

can we use this cam with Smart TV?
It would depend on the brand and operating system of the TV. It would need some sort of method of utilizing the camera as hardware. With Android phones/tablets you generally can't use webcams unless you download a third party app that will recognize the webcam.
