- I forgot to mention NEVER buy anything full price. You can buy everything in the store for at least 50% off. For example never buy the buy 3 get 2 free. Wait utill the weekend to get the buy 3 get 3 free plus 20% off or $10 off.
The room sprays, hand soaps, wallflowers go on sale for $3 less.
Candles are usually $12 but use the 20% off or buy 2 candles and a hand sanitizer and use $10 off and each candle will come out to about $9 and then you can return what you dont want lol.
Just had my first day of training yesterday for register my second day of training is tomorrow on floor. It was ok, I can tell register will take me a while to get used too tho. Basic rigging customers up is fine, but dealing with how coupons work is a lot. I feel I’ll do better on floor tomorrow.
Can you wear casual clothes to the interview?
I wish they would train us on selling but I guess it’s better to learn... I like being on the register
Hey girl how were you able to memorize where everything was? I started working there 2 days ago and I’m good at register but I have no clue about sales and where anything is at, any advice ?
Well, our store was divided into parts; so as long as you know the general area you'll be fine. If I couldn't find something I would just tell the customer we sold out.
About the deals there are promotion all around the store; just look around!
Sounds like they had y’all working hard 😩 btw, is there a limit on exchanges or just returns? I exchange (kinda) a lot of unused candles without a receipt because I like the smell of them in store but hate them once I get home. New sub 💗
We had definitely worked hard.

Do you have any tips/tricks as to how to upsell? I just got hired as key holder and I haven’t worked retail before.. also could you go into detail about what do key holders do?
You can’t be shy! You always have to be taking about the promotions going on.
Morning tasks include opening the registers (counting the money), receiving shipment (making sure you get everything), putting away all the shipment, submitting all the paperwork, recording a short video to inform the rest of the employees about the promotions of that day, and dealing with customers of course.
Evening task include counting the registers, submitting the evening paper work, and making sure the store look presentable for the next morning.
Also, if you work overtime on floor sets do you still get paid ?
Definitely! It was my favorite time to work 😊
Having to make a chat in video seems so awkward and embarrassing I feel bad for the people that have to do that but don't feel comfortable acting all bubbly in front of a camera early in the morning.
I've been in the company 2 years and have never seen video chat ins like that before...ours are just a chat with a manager after clocking in

You have to be 18, but the college part isn’t true. You can just have a HS diploma.
For me it was, they said can't work here unless you have a degree

What was your gratis? What are your discounts do you get a discount as soon as your hired?
Whenever a new collection was released we usually got an item or two from the collection for free. SLT members got more free items than associates. Associates get 20% off, SLT members get 30% and assistant manager and mangers get 40% off. And you get the discount right away at your store but you have to wait for your card that states you work for bath and bodywork to get a discount at other stores.
Saucy C how long does it take to get the discount card? Can you be part time for an assistant manager that’s what I applied for only 10 to 20 hours per week. What the difference for an assistant manager do they have to be on the registers?

Closed-toed shoes. Doesn't have to be slip resistance, vans and booties work. :)

Blue Jeans or khakis with a white shirt.

They give you all that at orientation(in Canada at least) an apron and some free goodies :)
Can you wear like a jacket ? Like a jean jacket or does it have to be white I just got hired and I’m always cold

Hmm, during holiday season (busy time) there is but when it starts slowing down there is not.
I start next week! I have been a cashier before, but it took me a while to memorize the cashier menu ( McDonald’s ), is the cashier screen confusing or self explanatory?
Hmmm it was confusing for me but I got the hang of it in like a week

No, you can always use a calculator. They usually have calculators by the register. :)

Im gonna have an interview soon to work as a seasonal sales associate, and if I do good I'll get the job (duh), and I'm terrible at math. So the calculator would be a big help
