Really nailed the blue shingles. Honestly really captures the thesis of this video. That previous attempt was laborious, constantly redos, and still not quite right. This time, 3 inks, one pass, bobs your uncle. Effortless and looks perfect.
I like how despite having a 3d printer and hot wire the majority of the stuff you make is still pretty "old school" with the cardboard and whatever else you can find lying around. It really helps inspire me to make stuff despite not being able to afford a printer or hot wire.
A great video, a few times I went "Oh that's clever, gotta remember that!", and that first tall house looks fantastic. Really evocative design. Good stuff!
I know I promised to go back and play Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, but just like you, 3 is looking to suck me in for a little while 😅 Great video chief! Always love to see a new vid here
"And speedpaints are a miracle product." Amen, preach it brother! I just finished painting alot of mini's for my recently launched War Of The Lance campaign, and they saved me so much time! Despite those buildings being basic, you managed to do so many of them, along with enough scatter terrain, that your city is looking freaking amazing! I love it.
Ahhh, I see where you could be disappointed with the second building. That teal color is not bright teal, It's more aged with grey. I am sure if you do a very watered down black or grey it will mute the teal and you will be happier. Also remember the game colors are dark and do not have a bright sun light effect.
With the house you are unhappy with, what would happen if you use some form of dark wash on hard green tinted, but still see through plastic wrap and leave a small gap between the roof made and the wrap?
You should throw a few quick videos just telling us what you're experiencing with the new game. I'm really interested to see if it's worth purchasing and playing, I've not played video game in years.
Did you zoom in on the roof from the game model? As the colours, texture, and weathering becomes clear unless you have a photo that has killed the pixel details with compression. I found an image on my phone from a baulders gate fandom site. Pinched to zoom and voilà the building's detail in all its glory.
I love your BG terrain series!!!! Keep on the great and inspiring work!!! Stuff from IWD would be great too in future (would love to see your take on the frozen museum)
Phenomenal looking setup with everything coming together! I absolutely love the aesthetic of the original BG assets. I hope you have an amazing time playing BG3, and look forward to your future content! Stay amazing!
I liked both builds. As the creator, I can understand you may find small things that bug you disproportionately, but I think both projects turned out well. Cheers, man!
I came for the build but stayed for the epic thumbnail shots! Those had me rolling laughing. As always beautiful builds. Although it makes me think. I've never heard you mention playing anything like Mordheim or Frostgrave. But with me currently building stuff for a ruined city board set that I can use for both of those games, I just wonder what you could do with building ruined buildings for games like those. Awesome stuff as always and thank you for sharing.
I remember making milk carton houses in my childhood. This is a wonderful upscale of that project. I love the bright colors of these buildings. And I definitely remember going into random buildings while playing Baulder's Gate. It was amusing how few people actually questioned why you came into their house without an invitation. Then there were the ogre mages that I ended up being TPK-ed by more than once before deciding to level up a bit more before fighting them again. That game had many places that reminded you not everything in the world is meant for your level.
Nice, we got a 2 for 1 special this time. XD That 2nd build wasn't so bad. I think the teal was just a bit too bright, but really, you're too hard on yourself sometimes. It looks great, especially lined up with the rest of the buildings.
Hah, I was waiting for the joke about spending all your time on BG3. I also wonder how the new game will affect viewership on this video, compared to others?
Great series Wyloch. Its awesome to see someone making terrain that is achievable for us amateurs. I often get intimidated when I see the super high quality terrain made by yourself and other content creators, and being honest it sometimes turns me off building my own stuff. I have several half-finished projects due to this. But this series shows that great terrain can be made without all the finer details, interiors etc. This is exactly what my table needs. I run a D&D campaign every week with a group that are all online (from 5 countries!) so I'm the only one that can see the terrain up close. This series is a great example of awesome terrain that would work perfectly on my table. Please keep the series going. Great work.
Great idea for a series. I've seen dioramas based off of video game locations, but not playable terrain. I'd loved to see you tackle other games whenever you're done with Baldur's Gate.
This build is amazing! I’m curious looking at your mat, though- when running combat in that big city, how do you measure movement distance? Do you use rulers? There’s just so much now and no grid!!
great video and build! what is your character build for BG3? Im going Tiefling Paladin/Warlock. Im going to have to replay a Phase Spider battle as Shadowheart died right on top of a phase spider and is stuck. I cant res her! oh well. Thats a good fight and I'd like to see if I can do it better. Have fun in BG3!
Has the place been redeveloped significantly in BG3? (There's a 100-year interval between BGs 2 and 3, no? From what I've seen this seems to have given people enough time for the Big People to discover Renaissance clothes.)
@@WylochsArmory Just making sure...I had forgotten for about 20 years and rediscovered this lost knowledge of the ancients recently. Been marathoning your vids for several days and love your channel.
is a shame that balduls gate 3 is going to be responsible doe this other baldurs gate project to be less common... but hey, in the future, baldurs gate 3 buildings right?
Wait, he said “note pad,” not legal pad!
The skrulls replaced Bill! Wyloch has been kidnapped! Return our noble crafter, you stinky aliens!!! 😉🤣
Really nailed the blue shingles. Honestly really captures the thesis of this video. That previous attempt was laborious, constantly redos, and still not quite right. This time, 3 inks, one pass, bobs your uncle. Effortless and looks perfect.
Come for the nostalgia, stay for the personality. Thank you Wyloch!
Love the thumbnail montage 😅
Very cool stuff- love this series but I understand the need to pause. Looking forward to what's next!
Enjoy BG3! And thanks for this series I've been really enjoying it!

Gosh DANG! These builds are so simple yet elegant. Thanks for the content. Truly inspiring for my own builds.
Happy times video. Was feeling pretty flat this morning. Now I'm crafting. 😊
This looks fantastic! You take all the time you need to finish your other project's. Have a great day.
Thanks for the video! Nice three-story walkup!
Loving that thumbnail idea! Great stuff as always!

Dude, even I can make good-looking miniatures with the speedpaints and trust me, I was voted (by myself) to be the worst painter ever.
Great work and love speed paints for my board game mini's, enjoy BG3!
I serve the flaming fist! Both buildings came out great! I love the brick entrance for the first one especially.
That line has lived rent-free in my head for over 25 years.
No worries man, while I wait for you to finish BG3 I'll just go hang out with my Dark Urge Ork Barbarian. XD
Great series! lol I was going to ask if you FINALLY got BG3...lol!
Ahhh, I see where you could be disappointed with the second building. That teal color is not bright teal, It's more aged with grey. Love your videos. Please do another module. Sunless citadel maybe.

Thumbs up for the, "Hate that $#!^," I wish I had another for the craft.
"Wife's been gettin' prickly on me arse..."
Great video as normal, I can't wait for you to beat BG3, so we can get another video
“Doesn’t look great in the source image” perfect response! 😂
Looking great! Have fun playing BG3!
looking forward for a 3 hours supercut with Baldurs gate terrain :)
At 5:50… ❤😎😆 F*cking priceless.
Always a pleasure to Watch your videos

After four hours I can say it's worth it. But it is tech intensive. I bought a new video card because my frame rate was awful.
I'm so glad you hate that thumbnail sh*t! I thought I couldn't respect you more.

I found an image on my phone from a baulders gate fandom site. Pinched to zoom and voilà the building's detail in all its glory.
I extracted it natively from the game files and then yes, had to zoom in to make it fill a 1080p screen.
Very very nice. Only thing i would ad, is a very liquid dark green wash for weathering the stairs
I absolutely love the teal color you used!
Metal Dragons when
Fun series, thanks!!!

ACH.... no new videos due to Baldurs gate 3...hobby circulation takes another victim! Have fun!
Lovely build... but where's the bling?! no hidden jewels, no shiny gems. It's unnatural, I tell's yeah!

I like the 2nd building just fine I'm glad you kept it in the video. That world your building is becoming so epic.

You have Ajantis the **Paladin** doing random B&E. Do you even D&D?
love this series! You're not taking a break, you're doing, uh, work research!
"Gaming crafter neglects channel to play bear pron game!" =~[.]^=
Did you decide to have a Baldur's Gate build competition? I remember you mentioned it a couple videos ago.
Another fantastic video. Thank you for making all this and continuing to inspire me.
The 'blue house' in front of the Iron Throne tower is particularly ugly, it makes sense that you could not get it right. It never was right.
so curious about what you do with these things when you're all finished - with the design and with the campaign you've made them for.
Really enjoying this style, something about it is super cozy.
This build is amazing! I’m curious looking at your mat, though- when running combat in that big city, how do you measure movement distance? Do you use rulers? There’s just so much now and no grid!!
Just eyeball it. Six inches is easy to guesstimate. It doesn't affect gameplay meaningfully at all.
Love these videos!
I love the building, but the windows look really big next to the lady and I wish the door had a knob!
finally i get to see some sort of cladding.... definately a banger!!!
My favorite game of all time, and to see this… Perfection. 👍😎
great series! Enjoy a break back in Baldur's gate!
This is just magic!❤
Thank you for another great video!! \[T]/
Finally back and ready to watch some Wyloch!
Thank god you dont do the silly face thumbnail
"There may not be a video for some time" - OMG too funny.

Half Elf Paladin! And I already inadvertently broke my oath, not sure how exactly, but the scary oathbreaker guy has me all set up.
"and umm... there may not be another video for some time."
i feel that.
Now i need a video of you just doing thumbnails
Trust the process. Just keep going until the end.
Get your BG3 on kid! No one will blame you.
I love this Baldur's Gate video series
Go enjoy BG3, we understand.
Such a great series! ❤👍🏻❤
Noooooooooo!!!!!!! I love this series lol
BG3... My beloved Nemesis.
Hello can i ask which camera do you use to recording? Thank you 🙂
Canon m50

Not sure, I'm still in the underdark

does anyone remember when Wyloch actually MADE and RELEASED videos?
