    I’m always so amazed by old structures and how well they are made despite no power tools. What a fun adventure.

      It is amazing how modern buildings in the United States just fall down, but structures in Europe seem to last forever.

    This is most definitley a part of European culture that I certainly love! We do have such immense castles that have been preserved so beautifully! We have some in my home country too! And of course you'd have a good old rainy day in Ireland too!! haha! I hope you had a great time though!

    Hey guys! Hope all is well! Great to be catching up with you. Want to give you huge props for doing this while its raining. The castle looks really amazing and so cool that you shared with us the full tour. The interior is what amazes me the most because it's SO special. Love all the different rooms and paths to each room. Personally would feel very crammed. Either way, it's really cool to hear about the history and check out places like this.

      Thank you. The underground part of the castle was really neat to see. There actually is a lot of room underground, but the ceilings are a little low.

    I missed this place. When we were coming back from Cliffs of Moher we were supposed to stop in Limerick and explore the Castle but, our rental car broke down and we had to wait a couple hours for a new one to arrive for us. I love old Castles. The history behind them are phenomenal. This place looks so cool and rather well preserved.

    Hi, Great stuff. King John's castle was used in one of John Ford's movies 1957 Rising of the moon. Three short stories in one movie. Was it Bunratty castle, where you attended the banquet? Thanks for sharing 👍

    I am a descendant of King John and was wondering if he was ever at the castle himself.

      How neat to be a descendant of King John. I know King John visited the area, but I am not sure if he stepped foot in the castle.

    the castle itself was built on the orders of King John of England in 1200 - wikipedia. 3:40 - huh

    • @TravelingAtoZ
      @TravelingAtoZ  8 месяцев назад

      You are correct. King John’s Castle was build in 1200. In the video at 3:40 we were watching a dinner show in a different castle that was built in the 1400’s. In Ireland the do dinners in a few of the old castle, which is a lot of fun in neat to see. Sorry for the confusion.
