I'm glad you mentioned crash test and any testing whatsoever. nimbus one is a really good idea if the company has certain standards of repair for the buyers. I have tried and tried to communicate with these people about a reliable mechanic for them. I get absolutely no response. They've got to be crazy if they think I'm going to send them any kind of money without response. They're a bunch of Dum dums don't deal with them.
American here. It's a cool idea, but I'm not sure I could really use one where I live. It would get me around town just fine, but my area is pretty small and doesn't have a lot of common amenities like, say, a Target. In order to get to the nearest Target, I'd have to drive on a highway with top speeds that are higher than the base version of this thing can manage. I'd also be kind of worried about the battery life. There are a lot of EV charging stations in my state, so I think I'd be able to make it to one on my hypothetical trip to Target, but I'm unsure how the math works out for my return trip. Would my shopping time be sufficient charging time to get me back home or would I have to find a way to kill a few hours? If it can't get me into the city and back in a reasonable time frame, I'm afraid it's just not viable for me.
Nimbus refunded my deposit in 2024. and said they were not able to move into production. Currently they have paused moving forward. I hope the partner with Gogoro and get into production.
The market for these two seater tandem cars is people who already drive motorcycles and want a safe, dry alternative. They should be as cheap as possible. If BYD could start making them in Hanoi there would be thousand sold.

THOUSANDS probably hundreds of thousands.
I heard the Nimbus is dead. Too bad, I wanted one.
I guess it will be a concept car. It will not be a production car. Wasting our time.😮
