Workers' Day | Thousands attend COSATU Workers' Day rally in Cape Town

Thousands of people attended Labour Federation COSATU's Workers' Day rally at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. Many were young people who expressed their deep concern over the lack of jobs. Black South Africans have consistently had the highest unemployment rates in the country over the last decade. The official unemployment rate in the fourth quarter of 2023 was over 32%.
