This is the fastest Demon driver I have recorded so far as of 5/16/18

From Dodge and I quote " Dodge calls it the world’s only “purpose-built street legal production drag car” I never laid claim preferring either car, they are each purpose built for a specific task. Dodge has made it clear why they built Demon! It's their Halo car as well as marketing tool to get people talking about brand which it did. Just look up their literature or better yet why don't you just read what the head of Dodge Tim Kuniskis said about the demon look at how and why it was designed. "The induction system is just one of numerous changes that transformed the already legendary, 707-horsepower Hellcat into Dodge’s demonic halo car.
Sixty-two percent of the Hellcat’s 6.2-liter, supercharged engine would be transformed, including a new block, crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods. A “chiller” box was added to reduce air temperature entering the engine by 18 degrees in order to add 15 horsepower. And the engine was designed to take 100-octane fuel. The resulting 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque meant that the transmission needed a transbrake and torque converter just to keep the power from overwhelming the car’s brake at a drag strip starting line. To hit its quarter-mile target, the car would be outfitted with narrow dragster tires called “runners.”
"To rocket down a drag strip in its record-breaking time, the Demon requires 100-octane fuel and the skinny drag tires. But even with its stock, 12.4-inch wide radials and 91-octane fuel, the Dodge will hit the quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds. That’s illegal under NHRA rules without a roll bar."
You can buy the Demon without a passenger or rear seat - to save weight, and drop that quarter-mile time a little further. It also comes with barely legal, ultra-sticky 315/40R18 drag radials. Dodge calls it the world’s only “purpose-built street legal production drag car” and “a lady in the streets, but a freak in the sheets.” Really. (It’s a reference to the drag racing log sheets that drivers use to keep track of their race times.
It runs the 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds, and then onto 100 mph in a total of 5.1 seconds.
All of this comes directly from Dodge so like I said it's a purpose-built drag car designed for one thing and one thing only. So stop being such a fanboy and recognize the car for what it is.The Demon is bad ass car but built for one primary purpose 1/4 racing and straight line speed.
So a purpose built 840hp drag car should beat 591hp awd street car.
oh and there are few cars out there that have beaten the demon at its own game in quarter mile as well as from roll were there advantage of launching hard off the line, the way suspension transfer weight, linelock works, its gearing all of that
is know longer as useful. So even mighty Demon can be exercised by some other fast car put their that are stock so it's not unbeatable.

Steel Knight ..it is quite funny reading these comments! I love the GT-R, always have, always will, but this was a great race to see. Dodge is crazy! But that makes them intriguing. And still one of the only companies to stay primarily focused on overkill performance models. I prefer the Chargers to the Challengers personally, though. I like the design better, and it's probably more capable in any other situation other than a straight line, I like hugging curves.

Redline Rider Yes, but it's supercharged. It dosent count.
Larger Turbos
Smaller turbos. A large frame turbo you can just put on a bigger engine and make more power. Smaller turbos you wouldn't be able to put on a much larger motor without it just blowing hot air. You can put a GT35r on just about anything. Can't say the same for a 14b, or K04. Replacement to an extent.

Dave brown When is comes to drag racing and making power, it's all about the Density Altitude (DA). Every drag racer knows that 6000 feet is terrible for performance gives every car an excuse. Both cars at least half a second quicker and 8 mph faster in a DA closer to sea level.

Mirza Hukovic the dodge demon had a line lock system. It locks the front wheels so you can spin up the rear tires and do burnouts.
